Another of those various "origin" fantasy book. We get a lot of diversity recently in fantasy and that is a great thing. I love the "African" setting, the world building, the characters had a bunch of stereotypes to them, but it didn't bother me much and the plot was good enough. If you're interested in discovering and exploring new and original take on the fantasy genre, I would recommend this one.
