I am in awe with Follow Me Under. I love this story. Braden is a bit of a mystery, but we are getting to see each layer and Skye continues to break him down.

Skye on the other hand is a complicated heroine of this story. I still have a love/hate relationship with her. I want to reach in the book some time and shake some sense into her. But I suppose Braden is leading her to find her true self. But she is a total mess. That is why I am anticipating the third book, Follow Me Always.

Now I can’t say Braden isn’t complicated himself, but he has the control without letting his life spiraling. I love him and the way you can feel his presence with the author’s words. I will follow him any where ;)

Follow Me Under is the next chapter in Skye’s and Braden’s life. In book one Skye gets some unsettling new about Braden. In book two, we find that Skye has a new obsession but will she take it too far? The ending will have you wishing there was just one more chapter! I definitely recommend this book series!!!

More about Skye and Braden!

Skye Manning is becoming an up and coming influencer after dating billionaire Braden Black but is dating him worth giving up the trust in her life?

First off, you need to read Follow Me Darkly before reading Follow Me Under because they aren’t stand-alone books but there is so much emotion between Skye and Braden because he has never fallen in love before so his emotions are all new. But there are some answers in Follow Me Under but there are many questions to be answered in Follow Me Always.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

After reading Follow Me Darkly, I’m sensing a little more self discovery despite her insecurities, and deeper yearnings within Skye in this book. I feel there are changes coming for her and Braden. I think her desires are darker and more intense that even she realizes are within her and they play a part in her insecurities as well. The relationship between Skye and Braden is evolving. I hope that there is more insight coming as to the secrets of his past. I also think Braden starts to see that Skye’s inner desires are coming to the surface and she’s wanting to delve deeper and darker than he’s willing to go. Perhaps he’s starting to sense more… I truly hope that’s yet to come in the next book, Follow Me Always, and I hope that Helen Hardt delves deeper into the layers of each character and while the steamy aspects of the story are enthralling, that she also goes into developing more depth into the plot as well. My curiosity is piqued and I highly anticipate what’s to come next!

ARC received from Entangled Publishing. Voluntarily reviewing and all opinions are objective and my own.

I enjoyed this one even more than the first! I feel there was a lot more development with the characters. Braden is still frustrating, now more than ever, but I didn’t dislike him how I did in book 1. He’s mysterious, but nor cruel, though I really don’t understand why he can’t discuss the past. I mean, there’s not wanting to talk about exes, and then there’s this. Can he blame her for needing something to go off of?! I’d be reacting like her I think, if I was kept in the dark too. I felt like Skye needed to make up her mind though. One second, it felt as if she was going to leave Braden, due to his secrecy, but then she’s all in again. Then, when he introduces her to his life, it seems to take her over. It’s hard, because I didn’t dislike it; it just doesn’t feel like Skye.

Overall, very entertaining read though and I was hooked! I so look forward to the next one. I need to know Braden’s secret!!!

I had pretty high hopes going into this book. I was excited to see where the story was going to go, but this one sort of flopped for me. I still don't like Braden and Skye is really starting to piss me off, for the lack of better words. But she is. I thought they might grow on me more with the second book but that's not the case. I was hoping for more progression with their relationship, but it felt stagnant and like we were running around in circles. Braden is very adamant about keeping secrets from Skye but expects her to trust him. One of the pillars of a BDSM relationship is communication, but there is zero communication between the two and so many secrets. Especially since they keep having the same fight over and over again. I had a tough time connecting with the both of them in this book and was just hoping for more.

I didn't hate this book, by any means. I enjoyed reading it. A lot. I thought it was easy to read and follow along, it was easy to get caught up into what was going on but I’m just not sold on our two main characters, yet. I hope they somehow redeem themselves for me in the final book. I am excited to read book three and see how everything wraps up!

Follow Me Under picks up immediately right after the first book. Skye Manning is in love with Braden Black and everything is going well for her... until it's not. I love Helen Hardt's writing and I am still invested in Skye and Braden's story but this felt like a step back from Follow Me Darkly. Skye found sexual freedom in that book but she unintentionally loses herself and her identity while trying to appease Braden's darker nature in this installment. It was frustrating and really sad to watch the story unfold as this young woman who was relatively content with her life begin to doubt herself.

This idea of trust between Skye and Braden was constantly mentioned time and time again but it felt very one-sided. Braden kept asking Skye to trust him but kept a part of himself from her. She was supposed to give up all of her control not only in the bedroom and outside of it but blindly trust him as well. This did not feel like a mutual trusting relationship to me. Braden continues to be extremely secretive and mysterious. At first, I was attracted to him because of it but it frustrated me over time. I begin to doubt their love as well. The sexual relationship between Braden and Skye is hotter than ever but it loses its magic as Skye begins to question herself and Braden starts to demand absolute control in all aspects of her life.

In the end, even though Follow Me Under was not as compelling to me as the first book, I am still looking forward to reading the conclusion of Skye and Braden's story. The books ends in slight cliffhanger with their relationship in potential turmoil. Skye has becoming accepting of Braden's darker side and his preference for bondage but it comes at a cost. With her losing herself and potentially her best friend Tessa, Skye is about to lose her heart as well. I would recommend this series to those who love Fifty Shades of Gray.

Braden Black never thought he would ever fall in love, but when Skye entered his life he was bowled over and an instant connection was made. But Braden has some secrets and demons from his past that he refuses to divulge. Can you really have a relationship with someone if you have more questions than answers? Can you lead with blind trust when every aspect of the relationship is about control and pushing the boundaries of forbidden ecstasy? Holy crap you will not be able to walk away from this book. Between the new levels of love and lust to the scenes that just leave you breathless this was a fabulous second book in the series. I will wait patiently with bated breath to get the conclusion of Skye and Braden's love story - but Ms. Hardt - please write quickly!!

I absolutely love this series!

Oh Braden Black, what a scrumptious man, he is one sexy mysterious billionaire who is so captivating. He has rules and he never breaks his rules until Skye Manning storms into his life. He loves this woman fiercely, but he also won't bend all his rules for her, there is a limit and she's reaching his limits.

Skye Manning has ceded her control in the bedroom to Braden but she refuses to give him ultimate control of all of her but somehow it seems like she's still loosing herself, she's starting to not feel like herself, she's losing control and it's starting to affect her relationship with Braden.

Will they be able to get past all their hurdles and make their love bloom!

My god I am absolutely in love with this couple. Their chemistry is on point and I love how Braden is such a powerful, magnetic man who makes my insides melt!

Follow Me Under is the second book in the Follow Me series and must be read in order. I loved this one. You see such changes in Skye as she evolves in her relationship with Braden. Braden still loves control and is still a bit of a mystery when it comes to past relationships. I for one as this series goes on can't wait to see all the layers that Braden has to offer. Skye finds a new voice that will make you smile a little as she tries to figure out who she is. This one left me in a bit of a hangover and I can't wait for more Skye and Braden to come. You need to get addicted to the Follow Me series today.

The second book of the series literally picks up right where we leave Skye and Braden were left in Follow Me Darkly, with Skye questioning what could Braden have done that is so terrible as to have damaged his ex.

The cryptic warnings about Braden get under Skye’s skin and start putting her relationship and the trust between her and Braden in jeopardy…

As Skye attempts to prove her trust from Braden she follows him further into his BDSM lifestyle until she takes it even too far for Braden!

As all of this is playing out, Skye is constantly fighting an inner battle with herself as to who she is now, is she a fraud, how can she juggle her friends and her relationship? This inner battle comes to ahead when she tries to lose herself and her control to Braden… but is her full control too much or not what he actually wants???

This books reads like a continuation of book one, where Hardt delves deeper into Skye’s insecurities and inner struggles with the changes in her life, as well as the deeper infiltration of Braden’s BDSM lifestyle.

I found that this books focus on control grated on me, making me dislike both characters at times. I’m not sure how these two can come to a happily ever after where both of them are satisfied. Braden wants complete control of all aspects of his life, where even a surprise nice gesture from his girlfriends puts him off centre, I can’t see him easing up enough to give Skye the share of control she needs.

On the other hand, Skye is a mess. She has lost herself and perspective in her relationship. Her new life and career has come to be because of her relationship with billionaire Braden Black, but she resents his control outside of the bedroom and can’t get over that the opportunities she has now are due to his influence. She is distancing herself and the relationship from her friends and her family… is she is not careful, she will lose everything.

While I was entranced by Helen Hardt’s easy writing style that had me that had me not able to put the book down, I was disappointed that I didn’t feel like much was resolved in this book. I started this book fully knowing that it would not resolve itself, but the abrupt ending and the lack of any positive resolutions left me feeling empty. I will be on board for the third instalment, Follow Me Always, since I have invested so much already in Skye and Braden’s relationship. I need closure!

Follow Me Under by Helen Hardt is scheduled to release January 26th, 2021.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Entangled Publishing and NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I didn't realize this was the second book in a series going in, oops! That being said, I do feel like I missed out on some pivotal character development... I was able to assume some details myself. Definitely wouldn't recommending jumping into this series midway like I did.

It's dark, it's sexy, it's everything you'd want in an erotic romance, but I felt the storyline was a bit unoriginal, but with a BDSM novel, there's not much room for an original plot...woman isn't confident in herself, man is dominant so woman just has to learn...etc, etc. I was really hoping for something...new and exciting.

While the book's pace and steam between the characters kept me turning pages, overall the story just fell flat.

Braden and Skye are at a crossroads. Their relationship has gotten deeper but it also raises questions of survival. The heat is still there but trust is still an issue. There are still many unanswered questions about Braden’s past. Skye is struggling with her work and her friendships. It will be interesting to see how the resolve their differences.

This series has me engrossed but not always willingly. I'm invested the characters. Skye and Braden are interesting and sometimes unpredictable. I'm very intrigued where their relationship is going. The only downside to me, which will be a bonus to other readers, is the amount of sex. I'd prefer more story development and less description of their encounters. That said, Hardt does a great job describing and all is well written.

I was definitely left hanging and anxious for book three to find out what comes of these two.

I read Follow Me Under as a standalone so I felt like I was walking into the story part way. It wasn't terrible but there were a few gaps. Skye has started a new chapter in her life. She's trying to make her own way and is struggling with maintaining the hold and control she wants in her life. On the otherhand, Braden seems to have finally found what he wants in his life in Skye. They seem to be on the same page in the bedroom but they're otherwise trying to figure each other out outside of those bedroom walls. This book is full of hot and steamy scenes and flows well and is easy to get through but I found myself flipping through some pages when it came to Skye's insecurities in her life and career path. I would read the other two novels in this series just to see if context will make me like Skye any more! Solid 3.5 stars.

I really did try. I read book 1, and it was okay so I was super pumped for book 2 thinking this was where it was going to pick up, the story would really grab ahold of me..... and it didn’t..and I’m sad

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read ❤️

I have been looking forward to this book since I finished the first one. This one totally did not disappoint. I love the dynamics between Skye and Braden, they just fit together perfectly. But as we find out in this one there are some parts of themselves that don't seem to fit as perfectly as we thought. We got to dive into more of their budding relationship and get to know each of them better. I can not wait for the final book, I just have to see what will happen with them and if they will be able to overcome what troubles them both.

So excited for the continuation of this storyline! After enjoying the first book in this series, I was so excited that the story continued for Skye and Braden! Picking up right where the last book left off, the book really focuses on the trust issues between the couple. A constant argument between them is surrounding Braden’s past and it seems that he plays on her insecurities within their relationship involving that. In the midst of that though, we see Braden continue to really open up, although he does go back and forth on that, and really wants to let Skye in and give a relationship a real go. Skye continues to grow her newly found career, but she also has some setbacks with being insecure and worried about her previous employer. Not much went on in this book, it was more of a filler to give us more context with these characters and prepare us for the next book, where hopefully the answers that we need surrounding Braden and Skye’s old boss as well as the insecurities within the relationship will be resolved. Definitely a steamy read, but we get to know the characters better!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

He says he doesnt want to fall in love with anyone. He says he won't get married ever.
She wants his love and his love.
His ex has lied so much about their relationship and what they have done in bedroom. It is steamy.
What will happen next in their relationship. ??

I'm still very much invested in this series, but book 2 fell a bit flat for me. I was hoping for more moving forward with Skye and Braden's relationship.

Trust is everything Braden and he constantly stresses that with Skye, but there's quite a bit he's withholding. And it doesn't sit well with me.

And this definitely played on Skye's insecurities especially when it comes to her former boss, Addison. That woman has rooted deep into Skye's mind and I want nothing more than for Skye to be rid of her. And I Braden will play a huge factor in that, if he's able to break down his walls and completely open with Skye.

Book 2 seemed like a setback for their relationship, but I'm still hopeful for their relationship in the concluding book.

I had a tough time connecting with not only Skye and Braden, but their relationship as well.

The steam factor is quite spicy! Hardt writes it so well and it's darn right addicting.

I can't wait to read the last book especially with the way things ended. There's lots of unknowns and I hope Skye comes out stronger in the end.

I am a little mad that I don't have book 3 right this second! This series is addicting. I devoured this and Follow Me Darkly on a quiet Saturday night when my kids were busy. I am dying to find out what secrets will be revealed in book 3 and can't wait to continue this steamy, page turning series.

The heat and connection between Braden and Skye ramped up so much in Follow Me Under that I am now counting the minutes until May!
