I was initially drawn to this book because of the title, but I quickly found this quarantine anthology to be the perfect answer for these times. Besides the very relatable subject matter, the short selections are easier to digest in short spurts for those readers who have trouble focusing on longer books during the pandemic. My only problem is that my TBR list has become much longer because I want to read everything written by the various contributors. Thanks to NetGalley and Skyhorse Publishers for the advance copy to read and review.

I really had no idea what to expect with this new collection of short stories and articles gathered by author and podcaster Zibby Owens. I am a huge fan of Owens’ work, namely “Moms Don’t Have Time to Read”, so I thought it would be similarly interesting and enjoyable. I’m happy to say that I was right and it is. Owens has compiled collections of many well-known artists (authors as well as other entertainers) with the common theme of surviving this colossal year we call 2020. At times poignant, and other times hilarious, this is a collection that you will want to share with others and return to time and again. Thank you Zibby for reminding us all, moms and “non” moms alike, to read, laugh, cry and breathe-but most of all to remember that we’re all in this together. Thank you NetGalley and Skyhorse Publishing for this advanced copy.

I discovered Zibby Owens awhile back through her podcast Moms Don't Have Time to Read. She does a almost daily podcast interview with an author, writes a blog, is a frequent guest on Good Morning America and several local morning shows and is a passionate reader and writer.

Several months back she started a section on her blog and asked authors to be guest writers on various topics and she featured those stories on her blog in a virtual magazine called We Found Time. This book is a compilation of those stories along with a heartfelt introduction and acknowledgements section that gave me insight about Zibby, her family, how her podcast and writings came to be over the years. Some of these stories were interesting, some heartwarming, others weren't applicable to me, but through these stories I could see the hearts of the authors of where these stories came from and to the readers who needed these stories so bad during these hard times earlier this year.

Lastly, the monetary proceeds from this book are being donated to COVID-19 research as Kyle's (Zibby's husband) mother and grandmother both were victims of the dreadful pandemic. Zibby writes from her heart and this book is a tribute to both of them and everyone who has been affected by the pandemic.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Zibby Owens created a thoughtful Quarantine Anthology that included several authors, who wrote on varied topics about Books, Workouts, Eating, Sex, and Breathing. Each author describes their own experiences on the topic they chose to write about and their Covid-19 related experiences. Each essay is a heartfelt, honest, and real account of their lives. My favorite collections of essays are on the topics of books and food. Two comforts we need in a time of uncertainty. This book is perfect for your nightstand, where you can read the book from start to finish, pick it up and read an entire section or even just read an essay that resonates with you at the time. It’s a book that you can keep coming back to for reflection. #Zibbyowens #skyhorsepublishing
