The Billionaire Athlete’s Christmas Fling (Elkin Brothers Christmas: Book 1) by Leslie North
Publisher: Relay Publishing
Genre: General Fiction (Adult) | Romance
Release Date: November 30, 2020

The Billionaire Athlete’s Christmas Fling is the first book in the new Elkin Brothers Christmas series by Leslie North. This was the first book I have read by the author and I loved it!

This was such a fun Christmas & Winter romance. The level of steaminess was perfect (NSFW but not over the top), the characters were wonderful, and the story was so good that I couldn't help but be swept away by it!

This was a quick read and I couldn't put it down. I really loved the storyline and the the chemistry between Chase and Tana. Plus, Lindsey is just so cute...who could resist her!

If you are looking for a fun & steamy romance, you should totally read this book!

It's important to note that this book is currently available on Kindle Unlimited so there's really no reason not to read it!

I'm so grateful to Leslie North, Relay Publishing, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.

A very sweet and heartwarming romance by Leslie North.

Chase is a ski champion who has had an accident and hurt his leg to never to ski again. Tana is a ski instructor in his family's Ski resort. Her sweet little daughter Lindsey is a huge fan of Chase.

The attraction between Chase and Tana is very aptly depicted, their chemistry is hot and we also get a glimpse in to Chase's heart in the way he deals with Lindsey. The whole ski resort and the skiing sessions are well described.

If you love to read a Billionaire Romance then I recommend this story for you. This is a good book to cosy up and read. You can also read it in between heavy books to just put a smile on your face and warmth in your heart.

A flat story, not much here of interest. And poorly titled. Ok, nothing special. The center is around an injured skier (the athlete) and an instructor (the fling). A very small amount of angst, some steam and a little story.

Chase is a former pro ski but due to a career ending injury he is back at the family ski resort. Chase is trying to figure out who his is without skiing and he meets ski instructor, and single mom, Tana. Sparks fly, then some drama then a HEA. This is a pretty quick read but is quite like many other romance books.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in return for an honest review. All spelling and grammar errors are totally my own.

The snow theme makes for the ideal holiday romance. Everything happens very quickly. There's a little angst thrown in, but the problems are set to rights.

Chase is a ski pro. Well, ex pro because he can no longer persue his career due to an accident. He is pulled back to the family resort with some disturbing news.

Tana is a ski instructor. She is the single mum of a seven year old and is aiming for permanency at the resort.

Chase is an honest guy who doesn't hide his future plans. Tana is hard to connect with due to her controversial internal debates. She has great expectations. They fall in love pretty much from the outset. They have a few hurdles to jump, but they eventually get their HEA. It's a quick and easy read.

I received a copy from Netgalley and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

This is a short, cookie cutter, predictable romance. Chase is spending Christmas at his family's ski resort. Injuries have sidelined him from his skiing career. He meets Tana a single mother who is a ski instructor and is hoping to land a big promotion. The characters are good but it is formula meet, attraction, lust, misunderstanding, resolve story. There was barely time for a couple of conversations let alone showing a romance developing.

A couple of other things bothered me too. I live in Utah at the base of the mountains with fabulous ski resorts. Ski instructors don't have on the property housing. There are very few year round jobs in the industry. If you're going to use a location or industry get more of the details correct. Also the title itself comes from no where in the book. Yes he is wealthy, but there in no mention of billionaire status. It's as if a marketing team chose the title without reading the book.

If you want a couple hours of a fluffy escapism romance this is an okay read. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC ebook in exchange.

Chase has headed home to Elk Lodge for Thanksgiving at the request of his grandmother. Sadly explaining her cancer diagnosis to the family, she hopes that he and his brothers will be around over Christmas to make it special for her. A former ski champion, Chase, doesn't want to be at the place where his career started especially as he is still recovering from an injury that ended his career. But he would do almost anything for his grandmother and agrees to stay and help his older brother sort through applications for the ski directors vacancy.

Tana is enjoying her first season as a ski instructor at Elk Lodge, loving the rewards that come with teaching youngsters to ski. She is hoping to make her stay at Elk Lodge permanent after applying for the ski directors job. A run-in with Chase following a ski lesson has her not recognise who is until another family come over for photos. By which time she has already turned down his feedback on her teaching style. Mortified about the way she spoke to him, she attempts to get away from him. But fate has other thoughts and the two of them are brought together time and time again, especially with the help of her daughter who loves Chase.

Embarking on a romance, their feelings are put to the test when Chase needs to decide whether he will be staying after the festive season. As well as an accusation from a rich customer has secrets from her past coming back to haunt her.

I enjoyed, The Billionaire Athlete's Christmas Fling, so very much. It reminded me of winters with my kids on the ski slopes. The instructors made it special for them.
Chase and Tana's love story is awesome.
