Nice little historical story set in the town of Sweetwater, bit distracting story telling at times but an okay read.

A story about second chances in love, “New Banker in Town”, by Susan Payne (Wild Rose Press), features a wounded hero and an independent woman as the romantic couple in this historical novel set in the growing town of Sweetwater, Kansas.
Paul is considerate, attentive and very honest and assertive about his feelings for Colette.
I liked the characters and the setting in this light, straightforward read, but I felt some aspects were too abrupt or should be more elaborated; the dialogue at times didn’t seem authentic and the shifts of point of view within a single scene were a bit distracting.
