The Wylder West is a series, written by different authors. I'm not entirely sure where Nicole McCaffrey's "The Wylder County Social Club" falls in the sequence but it doesn't really matter because it works fine as a standalone. I loved it. It's a hoot! At 110 pages, it's a short read too. Small but perfectly formed, and now I'm really intrigued to read more of this series. If it was adapted for screen (perhaps starring Dolly Parton as Miss Addie) I would watch the hell out of it!
What happens when a city girl goes to the Wild West to help her mother, after her mother becomes injured? Well let’s just say it’s not a nunnery she ends up visiting. Ohhh and the doctor in that town will even make a city girl swoon!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
I enjoyed this light hearted book. It kept me interested from beginning to end. There was a good mix of characters and an exciting storyline. l will definitely be reading more by this author .
Very cute and charming with the right amount of sass and sexy. Very much enjoyed this story and will be looking for the next in this series. Thank you netgalley and publisher for this arc in exchange of an honest review.
When a prim, proper Easterner meets the wild west, it's bound to be an interesting story. Add in the young woman is on a mission to assist the mother she knows little about, only to find that her Mother's home for wayward girls, the Wylder County Social Club, is actually the town's brothel and her mother the madam and you have the making of a whole series of stories....the Wylder West.
Eliza Jane has spent her life living with an aunt that has told her little of her mother's life in territorial Wyoming. Her shock upon arrival soon turns to a determination to "fix" everything. Along the way, she will meet some very colorful characters who keep the story entertaining and keep Eliza on her toes, including the hunky Dr "Coyote" Sullivan. The story is a unique one and the characters are definitely unique.
Lovely small town western where everyone knows each other’s business. Eliza arrives to help with her mother’s business after she has an accident, Coyote is the local doctor and this is their love story. Great little read which could become a series, featuring the stories of the different characters in the town.
