Yet another "extremely hard book " to put down thriller and yet again kept me captivated throughout.
Keep them coming. Excellent!

I received this book for an honest review.

Jon receives a text message from Martha the F.B.I. Assistant Director who has helped him and he has helped her and her team. She states she would like to try a relationship outside of their working together. Jon is thinking about it and then is shocked when the boat that she is supposed to be on then explodes and he needs to find out what has happened. He then recruits his daughter Lauren who has just graduated from Quantico and also with the help of a hacker named Trevell Willams. What really is the plot is that someone is really after Jon and will stop at nothing to get to Jon. The story is action-packed and fast-paced and a good story that keeps you attached to the pages. A very good book with good characters.

There's something about J B Turner's books about Jon Reznick that simply promises action, heart and determination from beginning to end. Those promises are fulfilled in this book totally. Clearly Jon is gathering a team of his own...including his daughter, computer hacker Trevelle Williams and now, hopefully David McCafferty. Having a team shows Reznick is healing the long years of the loss of his wife and Delta Team. Excellent Read!!

Great story, fabulous author with brilliant writing and plot. Highly recommend to others, and cannot wait for more by this author.

There were definitely moments of intense suspense throughout this book, but I struggled a bit with it feeling too far fetched. The story line was interesting, making it a fast read, but a few too many times I felt there was no basis in reality. I was unaware while reading that this was the 9th book in a series. With that in mind, the story was well written to allow new readers to come on board at any time.

I've read several books by this author and have always enjoyed everything I've read, so I was looking forward to reading this book. I must say it didn't disappoint. This book was easy to read and fast paced and kept me wanting to read more. I highly recommend this book.

Evidently this is part of a successful series about the hero, Jon. Not having read anything before, I was surprised to see that not only were some of the standard killer spy protocols skipped, it seemed even amateurish. It also seemed that there were few former special agent cliches that were missed.
I kept wanting to put the book down, but did want to find out who did it and why the originating explosion got such a reaction from Jon. So I stuck it out to the end.
Sorry to say, I wasn't overwhelmed with this book.

All I can say is that my heart can’t take all this drama going on in this series. I was gobsmacked by the start of this story and when Irealised that for Jon this was now super personal I felt sorry for whatever character would be on the receiving end of his fury! As Jon travels to Spain he has no clue what has happened and why. It soon becomes clear this is personal and as we get the killers side of the story it makes for a very intense read. Now that Jon cannot call on Martha for help he turns to Trevelle, his hacker friend. I love Trevelle and wish we saw more of him, but at leasthe makes an appearance as does Jon’s daughter Lauren.

This latest installment had everything you could want in this type of book and more! Packed to the rafters with intense action, a fabulous lead character, an interesting storyline and a book that had me mesmerised. I thoroughly loved this latest book, only now I have to wait for feels like an eternity for the next one! A series I would highly reccomend.

Hard Vengeance is the ninth book in the Jon Reznick series, and it isn’t holding any punches anymore. As expected with this series – this one is a hard hitting and takes off almost immediately. This time the threat is much more real to Reznick and his immediate family than ever before.

Turner’s storytelling is top notch and you’ll likely have to remind yourself to breath as you’re listening to this one. His pacing is super fast and around every corner feels like there’s another part of the story. Reznick as a character is both brutal but also likeable. His love for the people he holds close is unmatched and his ability to find out what is going on, even when it’s too close to him personally is amazing.

Overall, I really enjoyed Hard Vengeance and I’m glad that I picked it up. I finished it in a couple of sittings and wish I’d had more time to listen to it. If I could have started and finished it in one day I would have.

I really enjoyed this book! It had so many things that I love: There was action, suspense, and drama with a little hint of romance thrown in. The writing was excellent and I could visualize the story.. As a bonus, it was told from multiple points of view, which is my favorite type of writing. This time we had the good guy and the bad guy. I thought this really helped flesh out the story and build the suspense.

This was the latest in a series, but can stand alone. Very excited that I found a new series to enjoy!

Thank you to the author, the publisher and #netgalley for the ARC, which did not impact my review. Now I am off to download the other books in the series.

Thanks to NetGalley for the chance to read the next instalment of Jon Reznick's adventures. This one is set on the island of Mallorca and I have to say I did miss the buzz of the US settings. The story line was OK, a bit gritty and a bit gruesome in places but I didn't think it was 100% up to Mr Turner's usual standard. Nevertheless, am already eagerly awaiting the next book to arrive !

Heart pounding thriller! So much action, interesting characters and of course Jon. What a great character. I enjoyed the book, the action and the thrills.

Uneven thriller, ninth in an ongoing series, HARD VENGEANCE, is my first book by author J.B. Turner. There is something a little too formulaic about the plot and the cut-out protagonist. It’s not difficult to piece together the motivation or the background for any of the characters or subplots. I just prefer my thrillers to be more complex and varied; I’m not that keen on tropes. Having said that, there is nothing disturbing about the book, it delivers what it promises: a fast-paced, hard-charging thrill. I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

THRILLING fast-paced police procedural, with lots of action & crime drama. Great characters that keep you on your toes throughout. First time reading this author, but will definitely not be my last. RECOMMEND this well written suspenseful novel. Thanks to NetGalley & Thomas & Mercer for this ARC in return for my honest review.

A really good continuation of the Jon Reznick story. Reznick and Assistant FBI director Martha Meyerstein are finally dipping their toes into the romance pool until tragedy befalls Meyerstein in an attempt to draw out Reznick in a long term play. There was a lot of action in this book and I liked that it took place outside of the US which added some new twists to the story.. I don't want to spoil the plot but if you liked the past books of this series, this one is a must read. I enjoyed this book a lot and read it over the course of two days. I look forward to continuing this series in the future.
Thank you J. B. Turner, Amazon Publishing UK, and Thomas & Mercer for the ARC for my honest review.

This book was boring, repetitive...I skimmed to the end. Not worth reading. I felt it just went on & on.

First time reading the Jon Reznick series and I must say I want to go back and start at the beginning, I always seem to find myself starting books mid way through a series!!!

Jon reserves some deverstating news Martha deputy director of the FBI and his love interest has died. They are told it was a gas leak on the yacht that she is holidaying on with her friend. But Martha's father contacts Jon and tells him he doesn't think it was an accident he thinks it was murder. He makes Jon promise to find out the truth and sends him to Spain to seek revenge.

I really was hooked with this novel from the first chapter it was all go and I love it when a novel grips you from the beginning. I loved that we are introduced to the bad guy from the start, although his motives are unbeknown to us.

Jon clearly has issues and I feel that if I had read the first 8 books I would of understood Jon a bit more but as I continued through this book alot became clear. I really loved Jon and his personality he is not your average "hero" and I found that endearing!

The book is fast paced and although there are not to many characters it was a tad confusing for me at times. I found that because so much was going on it did help to keep my interests on the story.

In all honesty it's hard to write an indepth review without flooding it with spoilers. There were a couple of twist one of which I saw coming others I did not. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to go back to the first in the series. I am rating 3 stats only because the big plot twist I found to obvious so that let it down a tad but other than that I enjoyed everything else.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and the author for the digital advanced copy in exchange for my fair and honest review.
