I want to cook just about every recipe in this book! I love the colorful and appetizing pictures of each dish and the creative titles of each section. Antoni's recipes are simple enough to make but packed full of flavor and I enjoy how he sprinkles his Polish heritage throughout. Brilliant to include a chapter for Cold & Rainy Nights comfort foods as well as favorites categories like Salads, but Make it Dinner, Break an Egg (egg dishes), Carb Comas (pasta), and The Swim Team (seafood). He puts vegetables and fresh proteins front and center and makes it all look delicious!

There are some awesome recipes in this book and it feels like it has even more photos than his previous book. I tried a few recipes and they were not only delicious but very well explained and easy to make. I recommend it!

I was only able to flip through the book before it was taken off of my kindle. It would be helpful for cookbooks to be available until the publishing date in order to fully review. The photos and recipes looked good.

Beautiful photos and very creative recipes using a variety of different ingredients. This would be a great recipe book for a queer eye fan!

Having used Antoni in the Kitchen as a bible in the last year or so I was over the moon to be offered an ARC of his new book "Let's Do Dinner" via Netgalley ahead of its publication in September.
Now I am one of those people who not only enjoys cooking but will quite happily sit down and flick through a cookbook as a hobby - and Let's Do Dinner is most definitely the perfect book to do that with! The pictures and thoughtful introduction are simply beautiful and Antoni's 10 Fast Favourites are certainly going to become MY 10 Fast Favourites!
This book has elevated the humble weeknight dinner into a thing of simply yet elegant beauty and I am LOVING exploring the recipes. Some family favourites include (unbelievably) the Cononut Cauliflower Korma - which is high praise coming from a carnivore 10 year old who is not a huge fan of vegetables and the Slow Cooker Coq au Riesling and Pork Carnitas - because lets be honest who doesn't love a convenient slow cooker recipe!
I love the font and layout of the book, it is easy to read and follow and the pictures are honestly so stunning - I will be rushing out to buy this book when it hits the shelf because I simply must have it in my collection! I cannot recommend it highly enough.

First, let me preface this by saying it's always hard to review cookbooks in a virtual format - because the design and layout of a cookbook adds so much to the experience or ease of use.
With that, these recipes look delicious! They are recipes I could see making on a weekday, for dinner, and they've be different and fun, without being too stressful or requiring too many special ingredients.
Throughout the book, the authors add small notes - both about ingredients, the recipe or about cooking, in general. I thought these added to the cookbook, by allowing us to understand their thought process of highlighting an ingredient or adding a recipe.
Definitely can't wait to see the final copy of this cookbook!

I enjoyed this cookbook, it wanders a good path between familiar recipes with a twist and dishes that are a bit out there. While I normally love looking at the latter kind of recipes I tend to not actually try them when as they require fancy ingredients I'd probably would need to hunt down in speciality stores and then never know how to use in another meal ever again. This cookbook however relies on a lot of everyday staples I tend to have at home and the more fancy ingredients need to be bought fresh/or in smaller quantities.
The pictures of the individual dishes are shot in a way I really like for a cook book. They look pretty and yet realistic, as if I could reasonably achieve a dish of similar looks.

It is safe to say that Antoni eats differently than I do. His recipes just seem fancier than my typical meals. I think this would be a great recipe book when you're in the mood to try something different or maybe impress someone, but it would not be an every night kind of cookbook for me. It is not filled with recipes that would become regulars in my home.
I was a little surprised at the variety of recipes. Some would make a great breakfast or lunch, so even though the book is titled "Let's Do Dinner" you are offered recipes that could be enjoyed any time of day. So, if you're more of a morning person and don't have time to make extravagant dinners, there may be a recipe included that you'd like to try in the morning.
There are several recipes in this book that look interesting and delicious, but unfortunately due to my personal dietary restrictions most of them are not recipes I will be able to eat. So, it doesn't seem there is too much included that I will be rushing to try. I am most looking forward to a quick and easy looking fish & asparagus meal. Antoni offers 4 different butter toppings to go with it. I think I'll go with the Lemon-Tarragon... or maybe the Miso-Scallion. I also think the Sheet Pan Chicken with Rosemary and Grapes looks interesting and I'll give that a try soon. I've never cooked with grapes. I've added them to a salad, but a sheet pan with chicken? Never thought of it.
I enjoyed this cookbook and Antoni's commentary throughout. I like that he offered some suggestions for substitutes to make the recipes more flexible. It's worth a look if you want a recipe to get you out of a dinner rut or you're just in the mood to try something different.

Wonderfully fun and easy recipes by sexy chef Antoni Porowski. This is an easy and fun book that will make your life as a host much easier. Bravo.

This is a cookbook for Antoni fans. I know who he is but I haven't watched his show, so this was not really for me. However, it is a gorgeous book. The food photography is beautiful. If you love Antoni and his friends, there are lots (yeah, lots) of photos throughout the book. There were a few recipes I would have preferred seeing a photo of, even if it meant fewer 2-page photo spreads.
And now, the food. There are some interesting takes on common recipes, but I don't know that everyone will find something to love here. I appreciate that, as a whole, the recipes use more common ingredients and are not overly complicated. But a piece of puff pastry on top of a creamy vegetable filling does not make a pot pie. That had me waiting for the pea guacamole or some such ridiculousness. Thankfully, there were Polish mussels to save the day. I've had something similar at a local restaurant and it's a good way to go, even if I won't be making it here in the Arizona desert.
I have way too many cookbooks, so I was most of the way through this one before I found anything I would consider making. The best section is the snacks and sides. That's some good looking comfort food. 3.5 stars.

Antoni: Let's Do Dinner is an inspired cookbook that is perfect for someone who wants fresh globally inspired cuisine that is not hard to master. The book takes a casual approach to food that will wow your palate with fresh, bold flavors, proving that sometimes the simplest, freshest ingredients are the most inspiring and delicious. There are many standout recipes and photos within the book. I recommend it!

Nice cookbook that has quite a few dishes I would like to try. Also lots of good photos of food, could use a little less of Antoni. The chapter on desserts is missing however.

As much as I ADORE the ‘Lazy Pierogies’ and ‘Croque Signore’, the rest of the recipes wasn’t so special/unique that it needed to be published in a cookbook (in my opinion, of course). Too many of them felt a lot to me like those fusion/Pan-Asian restaurant dishes.
This cookbook is a perfect gift for people who don’t really cook – and/or on some kind of ‘healthy’/veggie diet (but have room for ‘cheat days’). I love Antoni Porowski, but sadly this was just wasn’t my kind of cookbook. Perhaps I had too high of an expectation; I swear I was screaming on the inside when I received the advance reading copy. Oh, but the photographs were absolutely stunning. Ah, I prefer his other cookbook, Antoni in the Kitchen.

So, let’s be honest.... did I pick up this cookbook because it had a gorgeous man on the cover? Of course not. Well...I mean, that wasn’t the ONLY reason. I also needed a cookbook. But it definitely didn’t hurt.
This book has a great array of recipes, from the simple (omelette, pasta) to the ones I will never be able to execute (puff pastry). It also has a fabulous variety of food types with a healthy amount of Italian (a favorite of mine). It’s not particularly concerned with being anything but what it is: a sophisticated and somewhat decadent book of recipes, yet clearly explained enough and simple enough for home cooks to try. Excellent!
I see that a couple of reviewers have pointed out the plethora of pictures inside of Antoni looking gorgeous and well-coiffed. Listen, some of us ladies and gentlemen need a little extra motivation to cook AND be fabulous at the same time, and this book has figured that out. To Antoni and the editors I say, kudos! In all seriousness, the book is great and the pictures of the food are gorgeous and make me want to make almost every recipe. I really enjoyed this cookbook.
With thanks to the author, NetGalley and the publisher for this beautiful advance copy!

This is a fabulous cookbook. I definitely want a copy for my cookbook collection. Antoni is a true artist in the kitchen, and the recipes all look delicious. The book is filled with beautiful photos and is written in an enjoyable, casual style. I highly recommend this book!

These recipes look great! I love Antoni and own his first cookbook. (This galley is hard to read, however, so I am not able to actually test any of the recipes out.) I look forward to the hard copy!

Maybe this cookbook is just not meant for me. I love to cook and try new recipes, but I could only find maybe one recipe I’d cook in this book. I was a little bummed because I love Antoni from Queer Eye.

This is a solid cookbook for fans of the author. There were some surprising records in the book, and each one was relatively straightforward. This is a good pick for a home cook with some experience, definitely not for beginners. Antoni fans will appreciate the photo spreads and personal anecdotes. Good options for vegans and omnivores alike with an emphasis on whole foods.

I love this book so much. I can't wait to try out these yummy sounding recipes. Antoni is just such a fun person!

I was super excited to know Antoni was writing another cookbook. Thank you for an opportunity to read this.
I have tried the slow-cooker pork carnitas and they were delicious!! I am excited to try chicken nachos, all of the pasta dishes, and some of the soups/salad recipes.
It was easy read and I love all of behind the recipe stories that Antoni has for each recipe. No doubt the main message of this book is food plus friends/family equals happiness :D
I like the organization of recipes in this book, and the little short quotes separating each section.
Another cookbook to add to my bookshelf.
I will add more to this review or the one on Goodreads once I try some more recipes.
