This is Harley and Joel's story and is the second book in the The Bridal Shop . We briefly met them in the first book as she works at the Bridal Shop. He is a sailor and her best friends brother. They both have been burned by love but their attraction is so strong. Sorta insta-love and he wants to make her Valentine birthday extra special. This was a cute romance and the book was well written. A short read with a lot of punch packed in. I have received this ARC from NetGalley review and voluntarily chose to review it.

Short story about sailor Joey and seamstress Harley his sisters best friend, he comforts her after she goes through a break up, and they agree to keep contact as he goes back to sea, this filters off due to lack of phone signals, leaving each of them with doubts about how strongly they feel about each other.
On her birthday Joey turns up on her doorstep and a one week romance begins. She asks him if he would ever leave the Navy, but when he goes back to sea and finds his ship is being decommissioned, the way open for a happily ever after.

Be My Valentine was a pretty quick book to fly through. In it, you will meet Harley and Joey. She works at a bridal boutique and he is a sailor who just happens to be her best friends brother. Sparks definitely fly after they run into one another and things get heated up pretty quickly as well. I would probably call this insta-love since they kind of said 'I love you' while being with one another sexually for a day or two. Kind of like what they do in Hallmark movies.

Don't get me wrong, these two were pretty cute and likable. I just kind of found it odd that Harley didn't seem that upset with what happened towards the end of the book. Then again.. she did get a nice surprise after some bad news. So, in a way, I wouldn't have been mad about it either.

In the end, I'm wondering if there's going to be another book. I wouldn't mind watching the two getting married. Just saying.
