Full review on the complete book which I had accepted before the other parts were released. Was a fun summery read.
I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.
Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.
However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x
So late in reviewing this as my kindle seemed to hide it away from me!
As ever with this author, you are sucked in to the story straight away! You feel like you are there with the characters, wanting to intervene. This is part one of the story and it grabs you enough to want to read the rest and just see what happens with the characters.
I love the way it is written, the fun that comes through, the romance, the relationships between characters.
You won’t be disappointed.
If you’re looking for a romantic and feel-good read, then The Promise of Summer: Part One – With this Ring... is just the thing! In this first instalment, we meet Ruby, a woman with a bad track record when it comes to love, but determined to make the most of her latest trip. When an extravagant proposal plan and a dazzling diamond turn up on the train, she sets out to return it to its rightful owner, along with the help of an unexpected friend. Bella Osborne’s creative output will take you on a rollercoaster of emotion and have you on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what will happen next.
I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. Love the cover! Great feel good women's fiction romance novel. Lighthearted.
This was so adorable and so easy to get addicted and sucked into this world, I loved the characters and the story. I wanted to read more as soon as I’d finished, this series is so good
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
Oh, I am so happy I read this! And totally looking forward to how the story unravels (as this was only Part one out of four!).
We are following a woman who is heading to London for an important meeting which we do not know the nature of until much later. She is a florist with a gift in writing greeting cards :)
On the train to London she meets two men who will make that day in London certainly unforgettable to say the least.
Funny, unexpected, refreshing plot and two characters that are like night and day but somehow work well together despite first or even fifth appearances :D
I picked this one up after I read *The Library* by Bella Osborne and I definitely love her writing, her characters, and the wholesomeness that comes out of experiencing her writing. I am genuinely happy to have discovered a new beloved author to me and warmly recommend you to read one of her works if you wish for your heart to warm up, especially when the world might seem grim at times.
Thank you to Netgalley and Avon Books UK for this e-copy of 'The Promise of Summer - Part One'. I am very grateful for it!
This was a very enticing teaser, with a peculiar and enthralling premise. I am definitely intrigued to finish and see what happens.
A quick and enjoyable read. Will be looking out for the next part.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.
For those of you who are not familiar with this…this is not a whole book. It is part one (it seems like the whole book was separated but it is available to purchase as an entire book).
That being said it was a quick read with interesting characters with their own quirks (some which are frustrating, who doesn’t know their phone number? Cant you call the shop you work at and ask them? But I digress.) I don’t think I will be seeking out the remaining parts of this book (though based on other reviews it is good!)
I totally loved the first part to this series I went on to buy the rest. Bella is one of my favourite authors and her books don't disappoint.
This was a brilliant read and is being featured on my blog for my quick star reviews feature, which I have created on my blog so I can catch up with all the books I have read and therefore review.

I truly enjoy most Bella Osborne books. I would call this a novella. Nice story, I know it is part of a series and wish it was all combined. I will pick up the next book.
I loved Ruby and felt a big connection to her as someone who has also had a lot of relationship struggles.
I loved the slow burn friends to lovers relationship in this book. Ruby was feisty and fun, and someone I would love to be friends with were she a real character.
I loved this story. It is a lovely mix of laugh out loud funny, and sad. Ruby has not had much success in her romantic life, she has chosen badly, and since her mother died she is very aware that the clock ticking. But she has a plan … ! She works for Kim in a small flower shop. Kim’s husband died and she realises that she is very lonely. She also has a thorn in her side that needs to be sorted out, and she has been avoiding it.
Ruby takes a day off to go to London and put her plan into effect. The train journey events are extremely funny, and add far more events to her day than she could possibly have imagined! She meets a man called Curtis, a brilliant businessman but seemingly totally useless in social interactions. But as the story progresses he does rather grow on you. There is a fourth character who has a small part in this part of the story, but you know you are going to hear more about him in the rest of the series.
So part one contains all the hooks to draw you in, and I have purchased the complete book of four parts. I couldn’t bear to not know what happens to these lovely people. I am not a fan of books that are split up like this into parts as a rule, but this one is a good story.
Yay! Another Bella Osborne series!!!! I was so excited to read this first back of "The promise of summer" and oh I loved it! This book is a page-turner! It's so much fun! When this first part is over you only want to read the rest of the series right away!!!!! I love it when this is happening!
Such a good start to a book, got me hooked and wanting to read more, which is exactly how it should be!
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
This is a delightful feel-good romance full of many twists and turns. I didn't realise till afterwards that it was also a four-parter. The book flowed really well and I was fixated by Ruby's quest to reunite the mystery passenger with his ring. It was a great read and brightens the world up a bit giving us all a bit of hope. I loved the character of Ruby she was delightfully written and very likeable.
I loved this book! It positively just fizzes with energy and romance. This is not your bog standard one stranded story. There’s so much going on that you just have to know how it all ends! I’m sad to finish those as I love all the main characters (human and doggy). I could not out this down. Heart warming, tear jerking, laugh out loud - it has it all!
Thank you Netgalley
I have posted my review for the book in its entirety and I am sharing it here too:
This book was initially released as four separate parts and I had already read part 1 before I got the chance to read the book in its entirety. I absolutely LOVED every minute of it!! It was an entertaining and delightful book with interesting, entertaining and delightful characters plus a hyperactive and adorable dog called Boomerang. The story was very original and I could not quite figure out how it would all end. The phrase 'opposites attract' worked wonders for our two main potential couples in making, Ruby/Curtis and Kim/Adrian. Funny, heartwarming and lovable, I had a smile and a chuckle ready for the entire length of the book.
The Promise of Summer lived up to its promise.
My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher Avon Books UK, and the author Bella Osborne for the e-Arc of the book. This is the first book I have read by the author and I now want to read more of her works.
