Professor and author Selma Wassermann has set out to provide ideas to enhance critical thinking for parents of K-8 students. Clearly, we are all (parents, students, educators, administrators) struggling this year to met students "where they are." It's a different place for each student and being socially distanced adds to the complexity of the task so Wassermann's ideas should be welcomed. Library Journal says, "This work will prove valuable for teachers and parents with its hands-on activities." Unfortunately, I did not download OPENING MINDS before my access expired and I am therefore giving it a neutral rating of three stars.
