Woman Evolve is a retelling of Eve’s story from a position of empowerment. This reimagining reinforces that what happened in the Garden of Eden was part of God’s plan and provision for humankind. Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts reminds us that passion fuels purpose and no devil in hell can stop God’s purpose for our lives. What are you passionate about? I can almost guarantee you it will be something you want to master or have been given a purpose to correct in this world.

Eve’s passion to correct her seed following her fall fueled her purpose to fulfill the promise God made to her. Eve’s focus on her seed provided her with the grit and grace to move forward despite her mistake.

“Eve eating from the fruit did not change God’s intention- it only changed how he would fulfill that intention” (SJR 8)

When God placed enmity between the woman and her seed he made sure it was a two way street in order to let the serpent know that what happened in the Garden of Eden is just the beginning and not the end. I love this quote from the text:

“I’ve met so many women who became hostile with themselves because of who they are or where they are in life. Hostility [enmity] is not uncommon to the woman’s journey, but that hostility is not being channeled properly. Stop being hostile with your past, body, potential, art and creativity. Take that hostility and start using it to dismantle the narrative of shame, regret, disgust, depression, and disappointment that plagues too many of us. God trusted the woman with hostility. Not so she could beat herself up, but so she could learn to stand up and become hostile with her true opposition” (SJR 70-71).

My takeaway is this: Woman of God, you are not defined by your mistakes. When God has made you a promise he will bring it to completion as long as you keep your focus on your seed. Use your pain to fuel your passion and your passion to birth your purpose. In other words, Woman, Evolve!

Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts had me confronting my real self in stages. I couldn't face me at a go. It was a gradual process of un-layering deep down issues.
Evolving is a process!

This is the first book of Roberts that I have read, but I gained a lot of encouragement from it. She shares real world struggles in a way that feels as if she's talking directly to you. A lot of the points she brought up about moving forward with grace for yourself hit home for me.

As a pastor, I have people who often ask me to suggest books that will encourage and direct them towards growth. I think this one fits the bill! I felt I gleaned a lot myself from Roberts honest way of addressing issues and providing support that doesn't leave excuses, but spurs the reader on to choosing better in order to allow change to happen.

"Woman Evolve" would be a great choice for a book club or a small group deep dive. Roberts has resources available soon that would partner with this book. I think she's done a masterful job at addressing a lot of how we face issues in our lives as women, but leaves the reader with the tools needed for real long term progress.

I was an early reader, thanks to Thomas Nelson Publishers. All opinions are my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Woman Evolve: I did not think it would assist me at this stage in life, but it did. Sarah Jakes Roberts reveals in a deeply personal way how we as women go though things and that even though we did we can make our way out of it into something more, bigger, and better than we ever dreamed.

I received an advanced copy of this book and it is everything I expected and more. The in-depth conversation about Eve will open your eyes to understanding the misconception that although I’ve made mistakes, I’m still worthy of being used.

This book will help women all over the world.

Woman Evolve is a really good read; it's transparent, reflective, relatable (& quite funny)--all while being very inspirational!

There's an interactive "Working It Out" section, following each chapter, that challenges readers to face self as a means of becoming the best version of self. By way of the Author's conversational approach, this book challenges readers to embrace new levels of growth. I believe this book will change lives and propel women towards fulfilling their God-given purpose here on Earth.

The book Woman Evolve throws more light and removes the villiany that has surrounded Eve. Digging deep. Sarah Jakes Roberts shows us more than the mistake she made in the Garden of Eden but how we're reflected in her and how to move forward from it without Shame,Doubt but in fearlessness and Authenticity that Our Father desires for us to Do life. Big and Better.
Woman Evolve is for the woman held back by Shame. It's for the woman seeking to break free from her mundane but doesn't know how to start because of fear. It's also for the woman who's looking to move on from her mistakes.
I really loved this book and I'm sure you'll love it as well.

Sarah has given every single woman a blueprint for her evolution. In fact, Woman Evolve is worth exploring at every single stage of your life. The vulnerability and truth laid out in Woman Evolve makes every single chapter sobering every woman can understand and use on their purpose journey. I love everything about this book.

My most honest feedback for this book associated with with scripture Proverbs 25:2-3 in mind. I found SJR and gladly I am grateful I did. Her book opened up an inner galaxy, myself one 3 different levels - Mind, body, and spirit. The book has help me to assess some areas in my life that I know needs work but I didn't and don't know how to work on them so going on this journey with SJR is helping me approach with courage to give definition to -not so healthy area's in me. Also I love how descriptive her write is. It pixelate the mind.
