Since this was a novels sampler, there isn't a lot to say about the book. I think all the novel samples included in the book looked interesting, as long as you read comic books. I didn't get the impression that you needed to be extremely familiar with the character from the comics to follow the plot, which is good. Having said that, it is important to remember that this was just a sampler. This means that it is not possible for me to say just how much knowledge of the characters is necessary to truly enjoy the books.
Aconyte's Marvel tie-in novels are exciting, zippy fun. Great for comic fans and new readers alike, this series brings Marvel's many epic characters to life in a new format. I absolutely love the series, and I plan to keep reading them as long as they're published.
After watching all Marvel movies I jsut wanted more. And since I am quite new to this universe I just didn't know where to start. This sampler was quite interesting for me, as I got to know a lot more about the universe and especaially about characters I didn't knew of before.
I definetly want to read more and hope I enjoy it as much as this sampler.
These titles were well-received when discussed at my library; Marvel is continually updating their art-style and authors to keep up to date with the needs and wants of readers (and library patrons). The upcoming events are worth a look.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read and review.
These are samplers that contain previews from 5 novels and was plenty of fun.
THANK YOU for letting me read these samplers, just love checking out which titles are coming and which ones I immediately need to preorder! The Marvel titles are especially important to me as I get to share them with my teen too!
If you also feel sad after the end of the MCU movies than these books are for you. This collections give an exerpt from these books: Five astounding tales of action and adventure featuring some of Marvel’s most remarkable heroes and villains. Read the opening chapters for free from the following novels: Domino: Strays by Tristan Palmgren, The Head of Mimir by Richard Lee Byers, Liberty & Justice for All by Carrie Harris, The Harrowing of Doom by David Annandale, and The Sword of Surtur by C L Werner.
I really enjoyed the books set in Asgard since I've always wanted to know more about that world. These books are interesting and the characters are well thought out. Between these five books you'll definitely be able to find one story you'll like with interesting characters and a fun plot. This collections definitely is geared toward middle grade readers but I think it's perfect for anyone who likes superheroes, villains, or adventures.
I’ve seen Marvel novels published but have not had the opportunity to read any of them. This sampler allowed me to read openings selections from five Marvel novels published in 2020. I look for to reading the tales of Asgardian Heimdall and young X-Men Tempus and Triage in particular.
Marvel fans will dig these five superb novels based on their fave Super Heroes. I dug it too!

Thanks to Aconyte Books and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
An excellent look into newly published and soon-to-be released works in the Marvel Universe.
Some setting's are familiar, and other are part of the brilliant expanding universe filled with new stories of diversity and new lore about things and places you might have missed in the movies and comics.
Given just enough to wet the taste buds, this sampler shows real promise for the future of marvels novels.
Overall, this sampler is pretty good! A lot of the books look very interesting and I luckily have the Domino arc to read! The one book that really intrigues me is the Sword Of Surtur (a book based on Thor's elder brother- Tyr) and I cannot wait to get my hands on that.
This sampler is nice because you get to read quite a few chapters of each book to really see if you like the books.
I have given it 3 stars as it is a good selection of samples.
Sort of feels like your typical Marvel novels, so if that’s your thing, then go for it! I might consider picking up a couple of these but I’m not dying to get any specific one. It feels like you really need to know the source material so on the plus side it’s TRUE to the comics. I just wanted something a little different, I guess.
An arrangement of entertaining reads, perfect for expanding knowledge of characters found in comic books. There are several titles that invite further reading in this glimpse of upcoming work.
These upcoming Marvel novels look like a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to reading more.
Many thanks to Aconyte Books and NetGalley for the advance copy.
Marvel Novels Sampler 2020 contains the first five chapters of five different Marvel novels, some of which I've read. So I can already tell what sort of quality the rest of this collection is going to be - and that's enough to make me excited.
Domino: Strays by Tristan Palmgren
Domino: Stays was an amazing read, and even re-reading this little clip again reminded me how powerful the writing for this character is. I sincerely hope this will be the first of many adventures (in novel format, that is) for Domino.
The Head of Mimir by Richard Lee Byers
A Marvel Legends of Asgard Novel! How did I not know that this existed?! Seriously, I'm absolutely picking this up to read the rest of, because Heimdall is one of my all-time favorite Asgardians, and I need more of him in my life.
Liberty & Justice for All by Carrie Harris
Is another Marvel book that I'm ashamed I haven't heard of, but now I have to go read the rest of it. It follows two mutants (Tempus and Triage) and seems like it's going to be a whirlwind of a read.
The Harrowing of Doom by David Annandale
The Harrowing of Doom is the other book in this collection I've read, and I cannot recommend it enough. It shows a different side of Doom (than I'm used to seeing, at any rate), and is really intense. It's great for those out there who have been wanting to see a bit more about the way he thinks and plans, as well as the perspectives of those most loyal to him.
The Sword of Surtur by C L Werner
Marvel and C.L. Werner working together? I've died and gone to heaven! But seriously, this is next up on my TBR list, because it sounds amazing! It's another Legends of Asgard novel, but showcases a member of Thor's family less commonly known (or talked) about.
