Oh I thought this was good! I loved the brothers and the horse races. This was definitely a feel good read that had the regency charm I love to see. Phoebe was a strong heroine with a sweet and fierce loyalty to those she loves. And I couldn’t get enough of Franklin. He was handsome and everything I love to see in an honorable man. I enjoyed the writing and all of the side characters. I will definitely recommend this one.

Phoebe, her brothers, and Mr. Everly are all easy to like in this sweet Regency romance. They share a fun camaraderie whether riding, shooting, dancing, or just visiting. The love triangle didn't make much sense to me since Mr. Mason was not likeable, and didn't treat Phoebe well, but she persisted in holding onto her longtime crush. It seemed a bit out of character for her to accept that kind of treatment. Her swift friendship with Franklin and their budding romance was a pleasure to read, and the kidnapping of local young women provided a bit of suspense. Overall the elements of the story were a bit disjointed, but I enjoyed the characters and their interactions as Franklin established himself at his estate and in the neighborhood.

I apologize for my delayed response in reading. But thank you NetGalley and Covenant Communications for the eARC!

I love a good regency romance and this book had it's own unique twists and turns. I enjoyed having the mystery of a the "Bride Snatcher". Phoebe was a spunky heroine and when the time came, was also willing to acknowledge how much she appreciated being desired and protected. Franklin was a wonderful hero to the story. Really, he was quite heroic at many points in the story. But I will say, there was so much focus on how small and petite Phoebe was. At one point when I believe it was that Franklin lifted Phoebe onto her horse the book said "She weighed no more than a spring breeze." What exactly does a spring breeze even weigh? It was absolutely ridiculous. And there were so many times that the men admired how small her figure was in a specific dress. Doesn't she have any other traits other than how small she is? Franklin did admire and love her red hair, but honestly this was all overshadowed by how many times Phoebe was referenced as small. It was especially disappointing when I feel like we live in an age where books are more progressive. This book could have mentioned that Phoebe was short or petite once, rather than the many many times. Anyway, rant over. The storyline was a delightful escape to regency romance, but it lacked the complex characters that I've come to expect in books.

Beautifully written, this is a wonderful story to pick up and enjoy. I have been delighted in each of Chalon Linton's stories that I have read!

I did enjoy this sweet historical romance. My rating 4.5.

Red-haired Phoebe has three older brothers, so she tends to be a bit bolder than most young ladies her age. She does have interest in one long-time neighbor although he doesn’t seem to see her yet as anything other than as his friend’s younger sister whom he can correct on decorum issues.

Franklin Everly is a new neighbor taking over the management of a nearby estate. He seeks assistance from the men at Primly Park and discovers that he is interested in their fiery sister, Phoebe. He begins to develop a friendship and soon seeks a more significant relationship.

Meanwhile, Phoebe is a little concerned that her eldest brother may be leading on her best friend. This violates the pact the brothers made not to become involved with Phoebe’s closest friends.

While life moves on for these young people, there is concern and danger in the area. Several young women have gone missing and there is a hunt out for the “Bride Snatcher”. The brothers and Franklin think they can keep Phoebe safe but her independent spirit may defeat their best efforts.

This is a gentle romance that focuses on the characters and their life interactions. I enjoyed the slowly developed romance which carried most of the story. The author reveals Phoebe’s natural confusion between her interest in one man and the sweet pursuit by another. I kept anticipating the danger from the kidnapper. It was well done although it did not occur until late in the book.

I would be glad to read more by Ms. Linton. I recommend this easy reading, sweet historical romance to those who enjoy the genre.

This book was so much fun to read. Phoebe was feisty, smart and capable. Her brothers were adorable with her- they protected her but still gave her the freedom to think for herself.
I loved that Franklin loved everything about her even the things not considered ladylike and he never tried to change her or squelch her personality.
This book was well written and had plenty of humor. The ending wrapped everything up nicely too. I hope there will be some books written for Phoebes brothers too!

Forever Phoebe is a delightful story that chronicles the relationship of Phoebe and Franklin. While she is distracted by someone else, Franklin charms his way into Phoebe's life. She has 3 older brothers that are overprotective which adds a fun dynamic.

While this is a historical romance, this is also a mystery to be solved. There is a kidnapper afoot and this causes an air of caution over the area. Phoebe's brothers are realistically competitive and this story is a happy escape for the reader. Chalon Linton does a marvelous job taking introducing us to another member of the Everly family introduced to us in Escape to Everly Manor. While these books are connected, they can distinctly stand on their own.

I read this book through an early copy received through NetGalley and then listened to the audiobook of it as well. This is a delightful, light tale with just a touch of suspense. I found the characters realistic and honest. What a refreshing story

This book was so fun and exciting! I loved that Franklin had his own story! I loved Phoebe's personality, spunky and cute with her brothers! I thought the plot was well thought-out and drew you in from the beginning! I loved the brothers and hope that we get some books for them! Yay for family stories!

I got this book from NetGalley and thought it was delightful!

This book unfortunately missed the mark with me. While I appreciated the twist that Ms Linton put on the regency trope with a mysterious kidnapper (something new that I had never encountered before!), I ultimately just couldn’t lose myself in the book. Perhaps it was Ms Linton’s writing style, perhaps it was the insta-love, perhaps it was my own impatience and high-standards. Nevertheless, this book was just “meh” for me. Not my favorite, but a nice way to pass the time. 3.5 stars

I loved the characters in this book. Phoebe Jamison is a delightful young woman. She’s intelligent and cares deeply about her friends and family. Phoebe has all the romantic hopes a young woman of that age would have about falling in love with an eligible, handsome young man.
Phoebe thinks she has her life planned out, and has her eye on the man she thinks would be her perfect match. However, Franklin Everly steps into her life, and as Phoebe observes his good nature and compassion, she begins to realize that her plans may need to change.

I also loved the interaction with Phoebe and her three brothers. They were protective of her, but they also loved to tease her. It’s fun watching Phoebe and Franklin’s friendship grow. There’s also a mystery all through this story that adds intrigue and a little bit of danger to the story.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This is a sweet romance with our Phoebe leading the way! She is fun, she is funny, she is bright and she knows what she wants! She has such amazing brothers and a wonderful bond with them. Their new neighbor Franklin is mesmerized by her and his efforts to gain her attention achieve a slow burn romance that is so sweet.

I loved this book! It has all of my favorite things: mystery, suspense, regency era romance, and a strong heroine. Pheobe is not one to keep quiet, and it seem to get her in trouble with the marriage market but she isn’t willing to change who she is just to please others.
This is a keep you on the edge of your seat, don’t want to put it down kind of book. I definitely recommend it!

I wasn't sure about Forever Phoebe mostly because I was unfamiliar with the author, but also, because I don't always want to read mysteries. Sometimes I'm in the mood for mysteries but not always. But I picked it up when I did due to the publication date, and I ended up reading it mostly in one day.

I have to admit that I fell in love with the entire Jamison family. Phoebe is much like the description states. She's used to being included with her brothers whether that be racing horses, shooting pistols, or teasing each other mercilessly. She has always wanted her brother Peter's close friend William Mason to show her particular attention, but Mason seems to only offer "constructive criticism" rather than compliments.

Peter is the closest brother in age to Phoebe. He seems to be the biggest joker of the brothers. Abraham is the fashionable one, but I think he got the least amount of page time being the middle brother. And then her oldest brother was often just referred to as Jamison. I can't remember his first name off the top of my head. But he was perhaps the most serious given he's the oldest and the responsible one while their parents are traveling. He also has a bit of a romance develop throughout the book.

Franklin moves to the neighborhood because he has inherited Ravenhouse from his uncle. He had intentions to put off his inheritance but after his older brother marries he sees the need for his brother and his new wife to have some time alone. Once in the neighborhood, he meets the Jamison siblings and quickly begins to see traits within Phoebe that he admires. Unlike Mason who is only ever critical, Franklin appreciates Phoebe for who she is. And he seeks to begin winning her favor. They had a sweet love story, and I enjoyed every page of it.

The mystery...well that felt a little unnecessary to me. It wasn't really a focal point of the book until the ending and major conflict for the climax of the story. Yet at the same time, I wasn't put off by it as I sometimes find. I think I would have enjoyed the story just the same without this part, but including it didn't lessen my enjoyment of Forever Phoebe either.

Overall, Forever Phoebe gets 4 Stars from me. I loved the romance and the side characters. I would love future books about the other Jamison brothers. And the mystery neither added to nor took away from the rest of the story for me. Have you read Forever Phoebe ? What did you think? Let me know!

Forever Phoebe is a charming story. I liked Phoebe's spunk and spirit. I liked that she had great relationships with her family and best friend. The kidnapping subplot was exciting and didn't go the way I predicted, which made reading about it more fun. I had a hard time putting this book down!

In the beginning Phoebe Jamison reminded me a little of Scarlett O’Hare (in Gone with the Wind) in how she pinned after Ashley, no matter who was trying to charm her. Scarlett could not get Ashley out of her mind.

Phoebe could not get William Mason out of her mind. He was close friends with her brothers. The story opens in Somerset, England, May 1814. Miss Jamison is at a dance. She is upset. “Phoebe huffed and folded her arms. Would William Mason every see her as more than the younger sister of her brother Peter? …while she’d danced with William at several dinners and the annual ball in the Assembly Rooms, he’d spent the entirety of this particular dance chastising her for allowing Mr. Baldwin to hold her too closely during the previous set.” No romance there.

Phoebe was a feisty one. She had to be. She was the youngest in her family of four brothers. Unlike Scarlott O’Hare who does not realize true love until she’s lost it. Phoebe starts to look at things differently after an incident that has her head spinning in more ways than one. Phoebe takes a good hard look at what love is all about. It is turns out not to be what she expected.

I also liked how the author weaves in a mystery of bandits who steal women and sell them into the plot. I enjoyed hanging out with this fun cast of characters, I was entertained by head strong yet compassionate Phoebe, her fun brothers, and Mr. Franklin Everly as he seeks to restore his family home to its original beauty. This was fun to read curled up by the fire. It is a delight escape.

Phoebe was a wonderful character! I loved that she didn't conform to what society wanted her to be. She made the box she was in suit her. Franklin was a great compliment to her character. I don't know if I could let events happen the way they did if I were in his shoes, but I praise him for knowing Phoebe well enough to trust. Wonderful novel!!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review. These opinions are my own.

Romance, clean, period; series, but stand alone read
Phoebe and Franklin's story was a genuine, sweet, reflective, and fun story. There is a bit of drama in one of the back stories, but I loved the family setting, where they were more 'relaxed' than in society. This felt like a story of neighbors and friends.
Franklin's home, the restoration, finding staff, and his family backstory made for a great character, and nice setting for parts of the novel. His introspection about what happened in the first book of the series, along with his current situation, made for a natural, genuine character and perfect for his highlight in this novel. Loved his love for his horse, and his partnership with his animal, and the fun part that the racing played. Franklin and Phoebe were nice foils for each other. Franklin who sees Phoebe's genuine, fresh, lighthearted personality that she displays when in her families company, and with her friends appeals to his sensibilities and his heart.
Phoebe's young heart, trying to find her way in her local society, and figure out if her past romantic notions are 'real', disappointed in the other interest she has, is pleasantly surprised and genuinely admiring of Franklin as he joins their family on occasion, seeks help and advice, and they naturally see each other. Strong side characters, and beautiful settings, genuine, honest main characters, and a beautiful attraction for each other made for a lovely read. I found the other side back story of the kidnappings a bit over the top, but the rest of the story was so sweet, and genuine, it didn't matter. A nice addition to this series, and my favorite of the two of them. Lovely read.

I loved this book! It was fast paced, witty, sweet and well written. I look forward to reading more from this wonderful author in the future.

In Chalon Linton’s Forever Phoebe, Phoebe Jamison is described as peppery and I loved that description. Chalon’s descriptions of people and settings was detailed and unique. I was impressed with her writing technique and descriptions.
Phoebe is written as fiery, but I felt it was her relationships to others that made her strong. Chalon wrote fantastic character banter and engaging relationship dynamics between both her bothers and Hannah. I loved how she wrote the family relationships and their open communication.
There was so much that I enjoyed about this book, I must admit however that her attachment to Mr. Mason pulled me out of the story a time or two. It felt shallow and lacking depth, so the fact that it continued to pull her way from Franklin to whom she admits to feeling attracted and having a more deep connection to was harder for me to imagine. I almost enjoyed the relationship between the oldest Jamison brother and Hannah more than Phoebe’s for this reason.
The pacing of the book was well done and I loved the tension of the final scenes. They really portrayed the strength Phoebe had in her relationships with both Hannah and her brothers. These moments really made the book beautiful.

A new to me author who penned a delightful clean romance tale. Phoebe is the youngest sibling with all older brothers. She may be the youngest, and a woman, but she sure knows what she wants, and she is not afraid to express her opinions. Thankfully, Franklin is not put off or intimidated by this fact. The siblings create a wonderful dynamic that is full of fun, banter and wit. There is mystery, discovery and plenty of charm. I will be reading Chalon’s backlist and all books going forward.
