I have never heard of a concept like this and I really appreciated this book. It felt all too short. I really liked Lindsey Frydman's writing. It had a nice, easy flow, and was easy to make sense of everything that is going on.
Not a bad read but one that definitely needed a little more ironing out.
“To Whatever End” finds Quinn keeping her distance from the attractive boy in the museum as her curse allows a single touch from another person to give her a vision of their end and when she sees his death she will stop at nothing to save him even if it means breaking her own heart.
The premise for this book is strong however there is very little emphasis on the curse itself outside of the first few chapters and almost felt like an cheaper way to explain how she would know of this upcoming tragedy without having to jump through too many hoops.
The characters were okay I feel like the point was to keep making the wrong choices but the repeated miscommunication cues was a lot and it was pretty obvious who was behind it all which was disappointing. I feel like there was a real attempt to make their chemistry strong with the banter throughout but I was never really able to connect like I feel like I was needed to.
Overall this isn’t bad, it feels watered down but if you’re looking for a ‘You’ type story without any real grit this should work just fine.

This is a great book about a girl that can see the future and realizes she’s predicted someone’s death how could you potentially stop it. If you love a psychological thriller of mixed with mystery next with a little bit of the occult you’re absolutely adore this book. I highly recommend it
Unfortunately, my review/rating is a result of my pre-reading expectations not quite matching up with what this story actually is. The synopsis was totally giving me ‘The Raven Boys’ vibes and this wasn't that.
I think if the story had focused more on Quinn's ‘curse’ and the magical realism aspect of the story, I would have loved it more. But the plot is diverted by a mystery/thriller component that I wasn't quite a fan of.
Regardless, this is a quick, unique read that I'm sure any reader will enjoy.
What if you knew someone was going to die because you could see it? Could you stop it? The main character can see the future but can sing a future help her stop it. I highly recommend this book he kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page.
