Wow. I never thought in a million years that I would enjoy this book as much as I did.
Kidnapping, sex, drugs, love and the Sicilian Mob is a overwhelming combination that has left my mind in a state of emotional chaos.
When I started this book I honestly assumed that it would go the way of most books this “style”. Well, I was wrong for a couple of reasons. First, it’s not the “style” that o assumed and it went completely a different route than I expected. Also, i not only fell in love with two amazing leads, but two amazing secondary characters!
Now, I’m going to need the second book translated STAT! That ending was a HUGE cliffhanger! I’m stunned and I need the rest of the story.
Thank you so much to Atria/Emily and Netgalley Bestler Books for an early copy! It was an unexpected great read! 3.5 stars!
Gracious! if you are like, have seen the movie, found it like a terrible train wreck (when it's horrible but you can't look away) wait till you read the book. I'm not sure the author did not write it as a pamphlet, on a dare or something. It's ... wow. What I did find refreshing was that the story went quite a way from the unwritten (but literally shouted everywhere on forums and social media) rules of romance - the ones where if the hero ever so much as looks at another woman he's a horrible human being, that relationship is doomed and the book ought to be burned in the public square for promoting infidelity. I must say I was also partial to Massimo because the actor playing him on Netflix is really hot. For that, and for the fact that this story does not claim to be anything else than a slightly exaggerated wet dream, I'll give it 3 stars.
I watched the movie, listened to the audio and just finished the book. The movie was a little different than the book. The story goes that Massimo has been having reoccurring visions of a girl that he will meet. He’s sees the girl in Sicily and makes a plan to kidnap and have her fall in love with him. Danger, intrigue and love are the plot lines. Looking forward to book two.
I really enjoyed the movie and the book did not disappoint. I found Laura to be annoying at times, but the details and plot made this book very enjoyable.
I guess I was hoping for this to be different than the movie which I saw first and didn’t really like, unfortunately, it’s not. The movie follows the book pretty religiously except for a few insubstantial things and the ending was quite a bit different.
I still loved Massimo, but still hated Laura. I just don’t get why she’s so hot and cold. She freaks out over dumb things and is always slapping Massimo. I was hoping that her internal monologue might give a bit more insight to her behavior, but I was sorely disappointed.
Massimo is a strong alpha-hole who only wants love from Laura, his dream woman and changes to become a doting, loving, sexy guy.
Laura is defiant which is understandable given Massimo abducts her, but there wasn’t much depth to her character for me. I wanted to like this book more, but Laura’s character really made it hard for me to do so.
Those that loved the movie will love the book even more, those that didn’t like the movie, don’t bother with this one.
I received an arc from Netgalley for my honest opinion.
Curiosity is what made me want to read this book. Many people have recommended that you read the book first before seeing the movie, I couldn’t wait to see what was so tempting. Netflix did not disappoint, but the book is so much more. I highly recommend you explore Messimo & Laura’s story first by reading then enjoy their movie. You must be warned though that this does have a cliffhanger…
I've seen the movie, so wanted to see how the book compared. Holy hotness.... Wow. Would definitely recommend.
The added content and back story that we did not get in the movie was greatly appreciated in the book. I truly love Massimo and Laura’s story and I can not wait for book 2 to see how this continues to play out. Their chemistry is on FIRE! I honestly felt bad for Martin in the book.
The potential was high with this book, but I was ultimately let down. The translation did not do this book justice, or at least that is what I am blaming it on. The overuse of Man in Black…. OMG, it is listed on every other page. I feel that should have been changed or eliminated. I am bit heartbroken that I did not read “Are you lost, baby girl?”. That is the line that, I assume, had every American woman swooning over Massimo. I know that is what lead to my fascination.
I watched the movie and fell in love with Massimo and Laura. The actors were cast perfectly. Had they spent more time on the movie with would have been AMAZING.
After seeing the movie, and being a huge fan of books I wanted to read this. I enjoyed all the little extra details that I knew the movie wouldn't provide. Massimo is seriously one of the best characters. I think if your a fan you should definitely read this. I'm excited for book 2, can't wait to see what's going to happen next.
Of course, like so many others, I was curious about this book once the film debuted on Netflix. And for the most part, I still enjoyed the premise and the main characters of Laura and Massimo. Although I feel as if the translation from Polish to English suffered a bit imo, the gist was still there and it's one wild ride.
Massimo even with all his uber alpha ways is downright irresistible! The man knows women in and out of the bedroom and his use of force only made his sexy scenes with Laura that much more erotic. He's a bastard through and through and won't stop until he gets what he wants but in a weird way, it was almost 'refreshing' reading about a man who is as determined as he is.
Laura felt like she wasn't quite what Massimo needed but with time I came to appreciate her role in this intense story. He wanted her, wouldn't stop until he had her and she learned to somewhat embrace that.
Although I went into this book more out of curiosity than anything else, I'm glad I gave it a go and can understand why it has done so well for the author. Would I read more? Maybe. Time will tell.
3 stars.
Oh my goodness! Even better than the movie, well of course it was because it was the book that inspired the movie! I definitely need the second book ASAP! I have to find out what happens next.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Having been a long follower of this story, not so patiently waiting the translation to English I have to say I am not disappointed in the least. This story was worth the wait. The film does the story justice but it is not a replacement to reading the details in these pages.
Massimo will steal your heart as he steals Laura. I really enjoyed getting to know Massimo in a different light through Laura's eyes and observations. There is so much torment between the two but what really shined for me what his desires to be something worthy for her. Laura in turn really struggles with fully finding herself and what she desires to be worthy of..
The details of this story are simple fantastic. I cannot wait for more, I hope it won't be too long.

Thanks for providing this precious arc in regards to the publisher and author!
What. The. Fvck. It was so bad, worse than the film.
Very rarely do I like the movie more than the book but this was one of those times. It was okay. I’d probably still read book 2 if they make an English version. But the writing style was a bit lacking. I like the story and characters though.
It took me two chapters to get into this book. It was a bit slow at first but that was mainly due to having to established who everyone was. After that it picked up and kept the pace going.
Having heard all the movie hype, I was curious about this supposedly erotic and controversial book. While having slightly more plot than other “blockbusters” of a similar vein, this still read like fan fiction. I’m afraid I don’t enjoy reading about spoiled, obnoxious, shallow and unlikeable characters engaging in binge drinking, high-end shopping sprees, and ridiculous sex.

365 Days is book 1 in the 365 Days Series. I enjoyed 365 Days. I loved Laura and Massimo. 365 Days was the first book by Blanka Lipinska and it won't be the last.
I really hated this book. It had everything you can think of that's not good! Abuse, cheating, drugs and a main character that's so unlikable that I couldn't even get to the 50 percent mark. I wouldn't recommend this or any of the following. Just a really horrible book and I don't know why it got rave reviews. If I could give no stars - it would get it.
I saw the movie first and the book was still good.
This is a very dark romance, almost a bully one is some ways or a stockholm syndrome, but definitely messes with the main heroine's mind. The two main characters Massimo and Laura are well done, the world building is there, the characters get a little lost in translation. Laura is not a strong female character and that is why I think of it more of a stockholm situation. She is slowly getting there, but don't come in thinking she is going to be standing up to Massimo really that much. I'm invested in these characters and looking forward to the translation of the second book in the series.
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow. Laura definitely has a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome. This book was a little too aggressive for me and I think something was lost in translation between the original and the English version. However, I am invested in the characters now and will probably read the sequel when it is released in English.
