I just couldn’t read this. I tried and tried but I just could not keep going. I didn’t realize I have a trigger but here it is. So this is a case of, “it’s not you, it’s me.”
This book is the first in a trilogy. Laura and her boyfriend are on vacation in Sicily. On the second day of their trip, her twenty-ninth birthday, she is kidnapped. Her kidnapper is none other than the head of a powerful Sicilian crime family, the incredibly handsome, young Don Massimo Torricelli, who is determined to possess her at all costs.
He tells Laura that he will make her fall in love with him and asks her to give him one year. If she doesn’t fall in love with him during this time, he will let her go. But if she tries to escape at any point, he will track her down and kill her entire family.
I shouldn’t want this relationship to work but I kinda do. I enjoyed this book (even though I yelled at Laura for being stupid several times ). I recommend it if you are a fan of fifty shades of gray and those type of books.
was a really sexy book. all of the characters were totally believeable. the storyline was good. I was happy that I read the book before I watched the series. Loves this book.
Not going to lie I saw the movie then just had to read the book.
Man oh man did I enjoy this book. Definitely not what I was expecting, even when I watched the movie. Honestly thought I love the book more then I enjoyed the movie I felt like I connected into the story much better.
I definitely need to go in and read the other books now..
Laura Biel and her boyfriend are on a dream vacation in beautiful Sicily. On the second day of their trip, her twenty-ninth birthday, she is kidnapped. Her kidnapper is none other than the head of a powerful Sicilian crime family, the incredibly handsome, young Don Massimo Torricelli, who is determined to possess her at all costs. Massimo has his reasons. During an earlier attempt on his life, a vision appeared before his eyes: a beautiful woman, identical to Laura. After surviving the attack, he vows that he will find the woman in his vision and make her his own. No matter what. This was an intense & exciting read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
Thank you to Atria Books, Atria/Emily Bestler Books and to NetGalley for an ARC of this book.
I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book. I know that it was made into a film but I haven't watched it.
This book was pretty good. I read it all in one sitting. I would recommend this book for fans of 50 shades of Grey or books that are similar to that.
Blanka Lipinska brings us the story of Laura and Massimo. While Laura is vacationing in Italy, Mafia crime boss Massimo catches sight of her. He is determined to have her. Problem is that Laura is vacationing with her boyfriend for her birthday, and Massimo has only seen her in his dreams. Massimo solves the problem by kidnapping Laura and informs her that he is keeping her for the next 365 days. He plans on making her fall in love with him. If he doesn't, he will let her go. If she tries to leave, he will destroy her world. For the next year, Laura and Massimo dance around each other and test their limits. Will Massimo win her heart, or will he end up losing her in the end?
Blanka Lipinska brings us into their world filled with mystery, passion, travel, and the darker side of life. We get to experience what Laura and Massimo are going through as they try to figure each other out. Their actions and reactions keeps us guessing and turning the page until the end to see what happens next. With the surprise announcement at the end, you want to continue their story in the next installment of this series.
I have read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Atria Books, Atria/Emily Bestler Books for this privilege.
I received this book from Net Galley. I did not like this story at all. It sounded interesting and different. Now I just think it was violent, harmful, what to the main female character was horrible and there was nothing romantic about it.
I heard a lot of bloggers raving about this book. I did not like this book at all.. I wasn’t able to finish it. I won’t be reading any further books in the series.
It is interesting and does hit some of my favorite tropes. It is classified as a dark romance and it should come with a content warning.
It is definitely going to be something that I sit with, as a mood reader my ratings and reviews are constantly changing.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
This is a fast-paced story as Laura is on vacation and is kidnapped by the mafia boss, young Don Massimo Torricelli. To say he’s possessed is an understatement, he captures her, rapes her all in the name of possessing her. This is a story that gets the reader thinking about what’s it like to be captured by someone so powerful, who wants to control everything you do, and you end up falling in love with him? Beware there are triggers in this book kidnapping, rape, dark mafia violence. I voluntarily read and reviewed this story.
These books are probably toxic and I probably shouldn't enjoy reading them, but alas, here we are. I recently discovered that I really enjoy the kidnapper/captive relationship trope, so here we are. The whole mafia side of things added another dimension to the already fascinating storyline. I am definitely looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Thank you to the publisher for giving me the chance to read a digital ARC of this book!
Thanks so much to Atria via NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review!
I read this book after watching the movie on Netflix I had to read the book. This was the perfect amount of spice and plot. This book was so good and I read it in one sitting.
Super hot! I loved the movie so I thought I’d try the book! The book did not disappoint! Laura does give me whiplash with her mood swings though. I think the English translation is lacking a little bit, the book felt a little stiff because of it.
I was skeptical of the book due to the other reviews, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. I do like dark romance, but in this book the author was so busy showing the dirty scenes that the characters didn't really get developed. Also, the translation left readers with some really awkward word choices that messed up the flow. Still, I liked the movie and want to know what happens next, so I'll be reading book two. Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book is not my cup of tea. I did not like Massimo. He seemed too harsh of a MC from the get go. I normally prefer more lighthearted books than this one.
This book was honestly a ton of fun to read it was a quick fun story.
It was highly entertaining and I couldn't get enough.
If you loved 50 Shades you'll definitely love 365 Days!
Atria Books,
Thank you for your generosity and gifting a copy of this approved eARC!
This was good. I wasn’t wowed by it but it was definitely sexy and fun to read! I’ll definitely pick up the sequel at some point.
I watched the movie so of course I was intrigued about the book since I've heard really mixed reviews. I thought the movie followed the book pretty well. I did end up skimming alittle of the book because Laura's mood swings were giving me whiplash. Sometimes the book felt alittle stiff but that might just be the translation into English. Surprisingly, I did end up enjoying this one and looking forward to the next one!
So usually the book is better than he movie but in this case it is the total opposite. I loved the movie more than the book. I think it could be due to some words were hard to understand in translation. The story was still three but for some reason I loved seeing it on screen.
