I liked this one!

The whodunit was always in the back of my mind. Who was torturing Allie? I knew why, but I wasn't sure who.

Allie Ross was living a suburban life. Her husband Mark, an attorney, has started a new job and they have moved to DC. Her six-year-old son is in a good school and Allie is moving in the right direction as a photographer with the hope of starting her own studio in the near future.

Allie and her husband are invited to a neighborhood party where Allie flirts a little with a man until he calls her by a nickname (Lexie) that she hasn't heard in many years. Then the same man follows her up into a bathroom and tries to have sex with her. She is shocked and is able to escape him but not without her husband noticing something was not right. After taking a shower, Allie only wants to forget the weird encounter.

The next morning, the neighborhood is uproar. A man has been found dead. The man is none other than the same man that accosted Allie in the bathroom. Then, detectives come on knocking and they want to know more about her Tinder app. An app she never downloaded herself despite showing up on her phone.

The more confusing and damaging her life becomes, the more Allie questions who is behind this vendetta and why?

Quite entertaining from beginning to end. I couldn't stop reading it!

Allie was likable and I could feel how desperate she was becoming. I wasn't really happy with the way her husband Mark took things and his lack of support when she needed it but I guess it worked in isolating her even further.

I Don't Forgive You had me guessing to the end which is my favorite type of book.

I know that when Aggie Blum Thompson writes another novel, I won't hesitate to read it.

Cliffhanger: No

4/5 Fangs

I Don't Forgive You is a great domestic suspense thriller! I was kept guessing throughout, and even when I thought I had things all worked out I was thrown for another loop. That's what I love in a book, that "wow" factor that keeps your interest going!

Suspense. Mystery. Drama. I find the Allie's actions quite understandable considering the past that she has. The supporting characters, the community, sad to say but it's believable the people would react when Allie was in hot troubled waters. The culprit, though. They could use a bit more involvement. It kind of seemed like instances happened just to deliberately prevent the reader from pointing out who was behind all of it. All in all, this was a good one. Very creepy!

A few years ago the trope that all thrillers followed was the unreliable narrator. The most recent trend is spouses who don't talk about their pasts. It's hard sometimes to not feel frustrated when the entire plot revolves around not having a conversation with your life partner.

Allie is struggling to fit in with the other wives in the upscale DC neighbourhood her family just moved into. Always seemingly left out she's thrilled to have a flirty conversation with a dad who lives down the street. It's all pretty harmless until it isn't. Sexy Lexie, a name she hasn't heard since high school. A name no one here should know. Flustered she runs to the bathroom only to be followed by him where he assaults her. She grabs her husband and runs home, but doesn't tell him about what happened.

Bad move, since the next day he turns up dead.

Now pictures of the two of them flirting show up on the community message board. Then the cops find a Tinder profile that Allie swears she never made. As she reveals the attempted assault to her close friends, it just builds up evidence that she is to blame.

But who is framing Allie, and what is the secret from her past that she's unwilling to tell even if it proves her innocence.

Ultimately a story about how easy it is to catfish and clone someone's identity and manipulate it online. It also at it's roots is a story about the power of sharing important information about your life with the person you're married to.

SPOILER TIME: I really hated that this woman framed Allie because she was taken advantage of, when she was a child, by her husband. Allie didn't ruin your life, your child abusing husband ruined your life.

Allie and her husband and son recently moved to their new neighborhood. At a neighbor’s party, Allie meets a man who seems to know her. When he is found dead the next day, Allie is a suspect. The catch is, Allie doesn’t know the man. As she tries to clear her name, she realizes someone from her past is out to get her.

I Don’t Forgive You has an intriguing plot. Allie is a suspect in a murder for a man she claims she doesn’t know. However, there are social media accounts that show otherwise. Allie tries to prove the accounts are fakes, but it’s not easy to do. Between being a murder suspect, cyberbullying, and local gossip, Allie’s life is slowly unraveling.

A gripping psychological thriller. I Don’t Forgive You is a fantastic debut novel, and I look forward to reading more by Aggie Blum Thompson. Atmospheric and creepy.

First, let me start off by saying this was a really good domestic suspense novel: it kept me guessing the whole time, it was a page-turner, I didn’t see the twist at the end coming, but it just wasn’t for me.
This book STRESSED me out. When I read and can relate to a character, I then become that character. Everything that happened to Allie happened to me. And it was A LOT. Like it just kept coming. My flight or fight response kept wanting to kick in. I wanted Allie to just go off the grid, or start getting angry at everyone around her. Because someone was out to get her and destroy her life. I think this just goes to show how real the author made everything seem.
My other issue was that it felt like it was just dragging out at times. At over 340 pages it’s on the longer side and I felt myself skimming at times, just trying to get through so I could find out what was actually happening instead of having to watch Allie deal with the latest life destroying ploy.
If you’re looking for edge of you seat domestic suspense this is for you. Perfect for fans of B.A. Paris.

I absolutely loved how real the main character, Allie Ross was in this book. The author portrayed her struggles as a mom in the most perfect way. I really related and felt for Allie at times because it is a struggle as a mom sometimes to make friends, especially when you’re in a new state, and especially when you’re surrounded by nosy neighbors. I really thought I knew who the killer was towards the end of the book, but I was wrong! There was a major twist at the end that left me blown away. I really enjoyed this debut thriller by Aggie Blum Thompson mainly because it took place in the Bethesda/DC area, which I grew up in and just moved back to from Texas! She also mentioned my uncle’s band (Fugazi) in the book, which was crazy to see!
Such a great thriller! It’s a must read!!

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan-Tor/Forge for this e-reader ARC!

This was a gripping thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. I though I knew who the killer was early on but there were so many twists and turns that I could not keep up. The book was nicely written with an amazing ending.

Couldnt stop reading this one. I loved the plot, the pace it kept me on my toes. A topic that is so relative to todays society. Social Media. This book is big on relationships.

Absolutely riveting and thrilling. Allie, a new to the neighborhood finds herself in the middle of a murder inquiry and she realizes someone has hacked her online profile. Clever and compelling.

This was a really twisty and really mysterious thriller that kept me reading and guessing. This is one of a few books I've read recently that make me really wonder how well I know my neighbors and those around me. Allie's identity was essentially stolen as someone impersonated her on multiple social media accounts. The police and even her husband begin to suspect that she is not telling the truth. This kind of situation absolutely terrifies me! I was concerned about the direction of the story at times, but the author brought it back every time. While my anxiety was extremely high throughout this book, I did enjoy how the story unfolded. I will for sure be watching for more books by this author!

I thought I was going to like this one more than I did, but I guess I am in the minority. I struggled with the main character and her constant keeping of secrets. That just never made sense why she wouldn't tell her husband about her past and such. And the innocent accused device is my least favorite to read. The good thing is the accused is always vindicated in the end and this one did not disappoint with a strong ending.

Allie is a photographer now faced with her worst nightmare. The police show up at her home and arrest her for a murder she did not commit. The evidence they have against her is mounting up. The police have found an entire dating profile and history with the victim that she has never known. She has been hacked but no way to prove it

A thriller in the suburbs is a must-read that I’ll always enjoy. Allie Ross is a photographer and devoted mother to her child, who with her husband, have recently moved to the D.C. suburbs. But after a party where Allie finds herself with a man who calls her by a past nickname, she freaks out and the next day, this same man is found dead.

It is a whirlwind of a case, the whole neighborhood is quite the gossip mill and no one knows the whole story, much less about Allie’s past. We slowly start getting bits and pieces about it, something she has tried to keep hidden in her new life. But this type of secrets don’t always stay in the dark.

Like a good thriller, we suspect everyone and no one, at one point I even started having my doubts about Allie herself, but mostly because we as readers are still getting this bits and pieces of her past and don’t get the whole picture. I do not consider myself a big fan of thrillers, specially because I have this bad habit of staying up until I finish it haha but in this case, the story flowed quite nicely, and in part of how tired I was from work, I didn’t stay up late reading but I did finish it quite fast.

The story is very cookie-cutter thriller, and I even managed to have a teenager as a suspect! It is well written and though we do have a very big group of suspects, I didn’t have problems knowing who was who, except for some of those PTA neighborhood moms, but nothing that wasn’t fixed at a turn of a page.

An incredible mystery that sucks you in from page one. This is a smart, chilling story with a deeply relatable and sympathetic main character and fantastic twists and turns. Read it in one sitting! I'll be picking up everything Aggie Blum Thompson writes in the future.

Read this over a weekend. Tightly plotted, with rich characterisation. Lots of ancillary characters, but they all add depth to the storyline. Dramatic ending. Highly recommended.

Aggie Blum Thompson's I Don't Forgive You opens at a neighborhood party where Allie Ross's husband Mark has encouraged her to make 'mommy friends'.

At the party, a man flirts with Allie, calls her Lexi, a name from her past, and accosts her. She discovers he's been following her on Instagram. The next day, he's found poisoned and Allie becomes the prime suspect.

The novel moves back in time to show the development of Lexi's teen relationship with a teacher and its consequences.

In the present, readers share Allie's despair as the community judges her, and even Mark and his family doubt her.

Allie is a successful photographer, happily married living a seemingly good life in upscale Washington, D.C., when she attends a party among the snooty neighborhood set and her life is turned upside down after a local dad hits on her and calls her by a name she never though she would hear again. Not knowing who this man is and if they were ever acquainted things are further complicated when the man is later found dead.

This was a suspenseful and intriguing read with twists and turns along the way.
