Allie Ross wants to make a good impression in her new upscale neighborhood. While she and her husband Mark are attending a cocktail party, she is feeling uncomfortable and out of place when one of the dads sees that she is uncomfortable and states he is sure she rather be someplace else. They start to chat. She tells him she is a photographer and gives him her Instagram account. As he leaved he calls her ‘Lexie’ a nickname from her past. (Allie’s maiden name is Alexis Healy but used the nickname Lexi senior year in Overton Academy high school ~ is Rob someone from her past?)
He attacks her in the bathroom and calls her “Sexy Lexi; she escapes before he is able to rape her. As she rushes out of the bathroom she runs into her husband ~ just as Rob goes by calling her nasty names. Her husband is a lawyer and immediately states we need to report this to the police. She assures him that nothing happened; he was drunk as were most of the participants. She just wants to go home. They decide to walk and leave the car as the fresh air will do some good.
The next morning Robert ‘Rob’ Avery is found dead and believed to have been murdered.
The party participants are questioned and several pictures show Allie and Rob very close together. Additionally it appears Rob has been viewing her Instagram account. Additionally there are message on Tinder between the two of them.
Yep Allie is soon blamed!
Allie knows she has been framed but by whom?
• A jealous mom
• The reclusive teen who lives across the street
• Someone from her past or
• Perhaps her husband (it appears after they walked home from the party, he got up around 3:00am returned to the party to retrieve their car.)

Story kept me interested.
As a big psychological thriller fan, I know ~
Suspect everyone.
Expect twists and turns ~
True at times the suspects seem to be all over the place but this story delivers!
The social media identity theft certainly was scary

Aggie Blum Thompson is a debut fiction author but isn’t new to crime stories. She covered real life crime as a reporter.
Although this is her first fiction, I am sure we are going to hear from her!

Throughout this book I kept asking myself “why don’t I like this?” I read a lot of domestic thrillers and usually love a neighborhood/housewives or social-media-gone-wrong story. But something about the character and POV kept me from really enjoying it.
The plot kept me guessing who did it, but the overall mystery was pretty obvious from the beginning. I kept reading, but didn’t love the writing.

Clunky, a little repetitive and just not-quite-right (for me).

I Don’t Forgive You… Wow. WOW. And did I mention… wow?! A gripping psychological thriller from beginning to end! Think Netflix’s Dead to Me mixed with a little Scooby Doo catch-them-in-the-end action and you’ve got yourself a winner! My hopes were high for this one and Agnes Blum Thompson did not disappoint! Five solid stars!

Allie Ross and her husband Mark moved with their young son Cole to an upscale suburban neighborhood in Washington, D.C. Once there, they must settle into their new lives. When an old nickname from Allie’s past rears its ugly head and the man she was talking to at a neighborhood party winds up dead, it sends her life into a tailspin. Fake social media accounts begin cropping up using Allie’s name and making wildly inappropriate posts, which cause chaos in her new tightknit community, her photography career, and her marriage. Those she thought she could trust begin to turn on her, and she turns to an unlikely ally to help her figure out who is ruining her life. In the end, Allie must dig up her past, as ugly and traumatic as it was, to get her life back to normal.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. The pace was intense and I was on the edge of my seat the entire way through! Just when I thought I had it figured out, a piece of vital information would come to light and I would have to start all over again. One thing after another would happen and I felt bad for Allie. When it rains, it pours! I will definitely be recommending this book to my friends and family!

I love suburban thrillers, and thi sone was no exception. Twisty and turny, this is a fast, breathless read.

Wow… what a great debut novel!

This is one of the best thriller/suspense novels I’ve read in a while. The problems I usually have with this genre are that 1) I can usually figure out pretty early on what’s going to happen or 2) the ending is not as climatic as I think it could’ve been… this turned out NOT to be one of those novels. The pace was a whirlwind and as hard as I tried I could not figure out how it was going to end. There were a few minor ‘hiccups’ but, overall, it was really, really good. Think this maybe the ‘it’ thriller of the summer & I really look forward to reading more by Thompson. 4 strong stars.

Her husband doesn't know what to believe. Her mother in a nursing home is having problems. Is she being stalked too? Great story. You will think you know and then a twist. Wow this was a really great read! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Loved the plot and the characters. I did not see the ending at all. I’ll recommend this to everyone.

Not bringing the little square hamburger buns for the sliders, which you supposedly signed up to bring, doesn’t earn you points.

A picture of you, snapped at that same neighborhood gathering, where your head is awfully close to a neighborhood Dad, over glasses of wine, doesn’t help either.

Especially when you exit the party quickly after an altercation-and that same Dad is found murdered the next day, texts between the two of you on Tinder, linking you to the dead man..

But Allie has never been on Tinder, and she soon discovers that her identity has been hacked, and someone is impersonating her online. Just one of the eighteen million fake FB accounts according to Google...

But why?!

It is amazing how many people believe whatever they read on a Facebook page.

Or that people believe videos and pictures posted, even though everything can be doctored nowadays.

And, to think that I have sat in a Starbucks and logged on to public wi-fi! 😳
Terrifying!

DEBUT author Aggie Blum Thompson was a true crime reporter in the D.C area, and she NAILED a life spiraling out of control because of identity theft! The tension was palpable.

Allie doesn’t know who she can trust, and I didn’t either, as there is plenty of misdirection, and plenty of possible suspects-many who are guilty of something...

But who is guilty of this?

What really makes a book for me is when I find the characters and their daily lives and conversations authentic, and this one fits the bill, capturing the dynamics of relationships perfectly -Marriage, Siblings, Parents and Parenting and the delicate balance of female friendships too!

Plus-it kept me guessing to the end!

At the beginning of "I Don't Forgive You," Allie was at a neighborhood party. So many many characters in the first chapter, I was afraid I wouldn't remember who was who. But at the end of the first chapter, I got hooked. This book kept me absorbed throughout, and I couldn't put it down. Several suspects......

A quote I liked: "They say forgiveness is giving up hope on having had a better past. I'm ready."

I thought it would be a 5 star book, but the ending made me drop it to 3.5 stars, which I've rounded up to 4.

I finished I Don't Forgive You earlier this week, and let me tell you, this book is a crazy ride!

I don't usually read this genre, but when I do I always get sucked in by the whodoneit aspect. And this was no different! I had so much fun trying to figure out which of these suburbanites was framing the main character... Because she was being framed, right?

I was literally guessing until the night I found out who it was. And then... Jaw meet floor.

The First book by Aggie that I have read and a great start.. I shall be looking for other books by her. I spent the entire story thinking is it him is it her, and the twist at the end was a surprise. A real page turner

Please note: I am adding Aggie Blum Thompson to my favorite author list. Unfortunately, this is the only book by Ms. Thompson. This was a very clever book and good gracious did this chick have a hard time. Another book that shows yet another pitfall of the online dating world. There were several characters I really cheered for. Highly recommend. Possible this book will be a top 10 for me this year.

An invitation to a local party should be a good way to meet people, but Allie finds the women not very friendly. She finds herself talking to a friendly man, mildly flirting with him, but when he calls her by a nickname she hasn't used since high school, she feels a chill running down her spine as she recalls past secrets that have remained buried with that name.

The following day Allie is shocked to learn that the man she was talking to has been found murdered in his home. She is even more shocked when she discovers fake social media accounts have been set up in her name with inappropriate photos and comments leading to her not only fast becoming a topic for local gossip and cyberbullying but also being framed for murder.

This is a suspenseful psychological thriller that ramps up the tension as Allie's world unravels, affecting her reputation, her marriage and her career. It's difficult not to feel sympathy for her as she feels boxed in by everything is happening to her, with little support from her husband who doesn't know what to believe and blames her paranoia on her increasing alcohol consumption. As well as trying to work out who is doing this to her, Allie has her mother struggling in a nursing home, an irresponsible sister, and Mark’s disapproving family to deal with. With a good twisty plot that will keep you guessing, this makes for an engrossing, page-turning read.

Terror, mystery, twists and turns are all on board with this thrilling thrill ride of a thriller. Grab a beverage, put on something comfy and prepare for intrigue. Aggie Blum Thompson spins a tale for a book club to enjoy.

Allie is a suburban mom who's worked hard to put her sordid past behind her and work on her career and her family. Everything is going well until the night she finds herself at a neighbourhood party where one of the dads tries to assault her and also calls her by a long buried nickname from her teen days.. The next day, the man is found dead in his home, having being poisoned.

Allie finds her life spiralling out of control as evidence begins to pile up against her and her neighbours begin to turn against her.

In a desperate quest for answers, can Allie unravel the truth before it is too late?

This was quite an intriguing novel for me that left me guessing as to the identity of the villain upto the very end.

This book definitely left me guessing! Just when I thought I had everything figured out, another twist was thrown into the mix. Thompson did a wonderful job with tension from the get-go and just kept tightening the screws and raising the stakes until I wasn't sure who was behind what or how it would all come together.

I liked too that there was an emotional core to the story--Allie and her family, and Allie and her own insecurities as she reexamines her role in her past--that had me invested in the outcome beyond just the question of who did what.

I will definitely recommend to friends!

If you like your stories twisty then I Don’t Forgive You is for you. It certainly kept me guessing right until the end and pointing my finger at everyone. The main character Allie is not overly likeable but I did feel sorry for her at times. It is a page turner and an easy read.

Allie is a photographer and has just moved into a new community with her husband and young son. But she has a past that she’s has not even told her husband about. SO how does a random man at a neighbourhood party know about Sexy Lexi? and then that same man is found dead the next day, all eyes are in Allie. But she is being set up and hacked on line. She is finding it increasingly hard to prove her innocence.
