Love the little attitude of Charlotte hope our daughters grow up to be like her.
Great setting and just draws you into the story as it is so wonderfully written.. you feel like you are there
Great all the way to the end..
Including the note by the author at the end.
First for me from this author.
This book was mentioned in a Facebook group and glad it was and to get approved to read an early release of this book.
Thanks to the Author, the publisher and NetGalley for an early release of this book
I really have to begin by thanking Hampton Creek Press and the author, JD Barker, for the opportunity to read an advanced readers copy of A Caller's Game in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
I was first introduced to JD Barker when I came across The Fourth Monkey in my local bookshop. I loved the vivid imagery and the nail-biting twists and turns that the plot took. Every book I have read from this author has instilled the same feelings. I honestly think he just gets better and better.
But, we are not here to talk about any other book but A Caller's Game. To say I was extremely excited to receive an advanced readers copy is putting it mildly.
I was blown away. Yes, I read this book in one sitting. Come on, it's a JD Barker novel! It was necessary, in my brain anyway.
The premise of the story promises so much, and once again, the author has delivered in spades. The plot, the characters, the roller coaster twists and turns make for another gripping read.
Highly recommend this book and this author. I, as one avid fan, am so glad he didn't go into waste management as a career.
