Chloe and Robert make for an incredible story. It is interesting and mysterious.
The mystery is of trechery and traitors to the crown.
It is interesting to a fault.
Elizabeth Keysian has done an incredible job of creating a tale worth reading over and over again.
I received a complimentary copy of this tale from Netgalley and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Chloe Emmerson has discovered that she's not an orphan as her aunt and uncle had led her to believe. With her mother's address in her mind Chloe dresses as a boy to go and find her, and maybe discover who her father is. Our brave heroine will find a lot more than she bargained for on her dangerous journey.
Robert Mallory is a spy in service to Queen Elizabeth. This job makes him suspicious of just about everyone he meets. There are enemies everywhere and he's on important business.
This is an exciting historical romance set in Tudor England. There is danger, intrigue, fights and laughs. Just about everything you could wish for in a very enjoyable story.
I loved it.

Thanks NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The premise of this drew my attention immediately, but I expected the story to go in a complete other direction than it did. I expected a fast paced - heavy on the romance book, at least thats what the synopsis lead me to believe. Though in reality the romance was nowhere near as much as I thought it would be and the first smutty scene was at 92% and was very simple. Not that there is anything wrong with that its simply not what I saw coming.

I very much enjoyed this despite the pace, the plot was intriguing, the characters entertaining and I was eager to see their tale unfold. The language confused me a little. I always thought the word "wench" was derogatory so hearing women referred to as wenches often kinda made me cringe lol. Also there's a scene where Chloes father calls her a "saucy wench", right after he meets her for the very first time, which simply makes no sense to me.

In the end I was satisfied with the ending and It is a nice book when you want a quick read or a break from a heavier story.
