Wow. This book was amazing and suspenseful.

A village of people in the mountains of California have gone missing. Fearing the trouble may be supernatural, the FBI calls Charles and Anna for help. They along with a member Bran assigns goes to investigate and bring back information. What they find and who they are dealing with makes the mystery of this book so gripping.

It’s always so exciting to enter back into this universe and this story does not disappoint. We see more of the people we love and some characters we don’t see enough of. We also get a whole lot of insight. There are two specific members in the pack we learn more about. It’s one of those situations where your perception of a character changes and even if you don’t like them you understand and can empathize with them. I never thought I could do that with this character.

With this book you get a full range of emotion and some characters from the Mercy books. We even get to see someone we haven’t seen in a while but not in the way you expect. It’s not a cliffhanger, but it leaves some questions to be answered in Soul Taken and I can’t wait to see the reveals.

This is my favorite Alpha & Omega book so far and I know you guys are going to love it. It is released on March 16th.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for sharing this ARC with me in exchange for my honest review.

Patricia Briggs does it again - I loved this book, and I'm always so happy to revisit this universe. I particularly love the overlap with some familiar faces from the Mercedes Thompson books. Leah's story FINALLY being told was one of my favorite parts, although I do feel like there's still a chunk missing. Leah has always confounded me, and in this book we get a glimpse of why she is the way she is. I love a good complex female character!

If you're a fan of Patricia Briggs, you'll love this book. And if you're not a fan, I don't know what you're waiting for.

The setup of Wild Sign is straightforward: a group of settlers on pack lands disappears. Everything that happens after that is gripping with one fantastic turn after the next.

While Briggs does provide enough context for new readers to understand the action throughout, the full impact of this book comes from having read both the Mercy and Anna series (which I highly recommend anyway!)

As a longtime fan of Briggs's series, I can heartedly say that Wild Sign is the best yet. It is certainly my favorite of the Alpha and Omega series. Especially after the events of Burn Bright, I know that fans will love getting to know Leah a little better.

Thanks to Netgalley and Berkley for providing me with an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I'm going to start with some brutal honesty. I love the Mercy Thompson books, I really do, but Anna's books just seem to have created a mate bond with me. They're something special, for sure, and I pretty much always love them in their entireties. Don't get me wrong, as I said a second ago, I do so adore the Mercy books as well, but whenever a new Alpha & Omega book comes out, I get more excited than for a Mercy book. Even if it's just slightly, there's a definite difference in excitement levels.

I think it's because even though I love Adam and Mercy, we really don't get much insight into Adam's head nearly as often as we get to see into Charles, and we get a much deeper understanding of the bond between Anna and Charles. I love the trust that they have for each other, and how they were both broken in different ways and the other's presence helped them have the safe space to begin to heal.

Many readers don't like Leah, but I have always liked her character. Sometimes it's been a "love to hate" situation, but generally, I've always found her an interesting character to read about and one who had a lot of depth that I thought we would one day get to see more of... and we finally do. We see another dark bit of Bran, which might push some readers (those who hated the tidbit offhand comment in the last book), to an even bigger disliking. But there is good in Leah that we haven't gotten to see much of, and there is pain. So much pain. This book goes a long way to plumbing the depths of Leah's self, and I was thrilled to get to know her better.

Lastly, that epilogue really set some new stories up, and I am totally here for it. GIVE ME THE NEXT ONE NOW. *sigh* I'm sure we will get a Mercy or two before another Alpha & Omega... and maybe that promised Tom & Moira book. We'll see (no blind/Moira pun intended).

[also, that cameo!]

Wild Sign picks right up where the last book ends. I had to go back to the last book and do a quick flip through to refresh my memory.

I love Charles and Anna, they have such a great relationship, but in this world something always threatens that.

In Wild Sign they are tasked with searching for a group of off the grid people who built a settlement on pack land. They have disappeared without a trace and something ancient and evil is to blame. But how can they fight it when they don't even know what it is?

Wild Sign is filled with twists, turns, and revelations. We learn the truth about Bran's mate, Leah, and we almost learn who Sherwood Post really is. I have an idea or two. Waiting to see what is revealed in future books.

Every book is a piece of the puzzle in Brigg's worldbuilding. It's always a treat to see what is revealed.

I do love some Anna and Charles! I really enjoyed this entry in the Alpha & Omega series. We get some backstory into Leah, Bran's prickly and unpleasant mate who has been barely tolerated by anyone in either the A&O or Mercy Thompson series. I'm not sure if I totally buy the redemptive arc of Bran and Leah's relationship, but getting her backstory was interesting but YO super traumatic. Like, CW for many, many things (check The Storygraph reviews, they are great at CWs). The Big Bad in this one was extremely mysterious and extremely creepy, and the featuring of music as weapon was chilling.

Did I cry during the epilogue??? MAYBE. Can't WAIT to see what comes next in the series! 👀

My thanks to NetGalley for making an eARC copy of this book available to me.

Such a pleasure to be back in the storyline of Anna, Charles, Bran, and the rest of their pack. This book is a fine blend of action, suspense, mystery, and relationships. It's great to see Anna growing in to her role in the pack, and to see her become more confident in her relationships. We also get to see more of the backstory of Bran's mate, Leah. There's still plenty of story threads that are left for the next book to pick up on, so we can look forward to the continuing stories in this world.

I never pass up a Patricia Briggs book. Her worlds are so far from normal but her writing makes the world and the story so believable. There was a bit of an info dump at the beginning of this book, maybe because it has been a while since an Alpha and Omega book, but after that the book is hard to put down.

Music, mayhem, magic...the only thing missing was a creepy clown. Or maybe some dolls? Yuck! With nods to throwbacks like old Lovecraft and several horror film classics, this Alpha and Omega fit much more into the horror genre than most of Briggs' novels. The chills began rolling down my spine in the first pages of the book.

I love that we get to see more of Leah. She's always been such a contentious character. A little backstory was fantastic, not only for Leah, but Bran as well. My only gripe is that the ending seemed really fast! All these loose ends referenced but not really tied up. I guess that means I'm definitely in for the next installment. As always, 5 stars for Anna and Charles.

My favorite of the series. I learned a lot about Bran, Leah, and Charles. Mostly about Leah though, but don't let that deter you from reading this amazing book. She, personally, is barely in it. It's a lot about the family's past and there is a lot there. It's insane, but isn't it always?

Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite authors so I was excited to see an ARC of hers on here! And she did not disappoint. This is another great story in the world of Anna and Charles. I love getting to know these characters a little more with each book.

Absolutely amazing. So well written and descriptive I felt like I was there. So intrigued by the story line, we finally get some pieces to Leah's story as well as another crossover character from the Mercy Thomson world. I would have liked a bit more of a complete story from Leah about her past once all was said and done but so good to finally have some insight into her character. Loved, loved, loved, loved how comfortable and the chemistry between Anna and Charles. Also loved getting to see more of Tag and the humor that he brought to the story. Have been raving about the story to friends ever since I read it, this might be my favorite Anna and Charles book after the one set in Seattle. Can't wait to finally own the hardcover

Really enjoyed this entry in the Alpha & Omega series! This book brings you more quality time with Charles & Anna, significant character development for Tag, JUSTICE FOR LEAH, intriguing Sherwood Post developments, and...well, I won't spoil it. But fans should definitely devour this one immediately!

First thanks to Netgalley and Berkley Publishing Group for given me the opportunity to read this book. I love Patricia Briggs books. I started with the Mercy Thompson series not realizing there was the Alpha & Omega series. But I've read all of both series now. I love how they go together.

In this book, I loved how strong Anna was. The book is full of magic and mystery. I didn't want to put it down. Love books like that.

I can't wait for the next book - looks like it will be a good one.

I have enjoyed Brigg's Mercy Thompson series very much. Wild Sign lets us get to know Charles Cornick. Charles has been a shadowy and somewhat frightening figure, mentioned in passing. In this book, Charles and his mate Anna are front and center. All of the adventure and magic are here from another perspective. I highly recommend this book.

Really enjoyed getting Leah's backstory. Hopefully there will be more to come with other mysterious characters.

I love Patricia Briggs' world building and characters. This story shares more of Leah's backstory and hopefully begins her redemption storyline (I've always felt badly at her characterization being so negative). Anna and Charles meet up with some of the Hardesty witches, Coyote makes an appearance, and the ending paragraph brings a cliffhanger of a surprise so I can't wait for the next installment! I'd love it if a future book brings the Alpha Basin Pack to Montana for some adventures. Highly entertaining novel, I devoured it in one sitting.

It feels like it’s been forever since readers were able to spend time with Anna and Charles. I sure did miss them. As much as I enjoy Mercy and Adam, I’m absolutely smitten with Omega wolf Anna and her mate, son of the Marrok and the Pack boogeyman, Charles Cornick.

The last book in the series, Burn Bright, released in March of 2018… which feels like forever ago. I’m really not quite sure how much time has passed since the events in Burn Bright, but there is a scene at the beginning of Wild Sign that features Sage, Leah, and Anna and gives readers hints at which direction this story might be heading. This is really Leah’s book, even though it’s Charles and Anna who have more page time.

When the residents of an off the grid community simply disappear Bran calls on Charles and Anna to investigate. This land has been owned by the Pack for years and years and holds secrets to Leah’s past and her life before she came to be Bran’s mate.

I am used to this author’s dark and twisty plots, but for some reason, Wild Sign felt like it straddled the horror line. The entire storyline revolves around a missing group of white witches and a mysterious presence that seems to take control of people through music, dominating their minds and forcing them to do their will. Anna quickly becomes a victim and I knew right then that my favorite wolves would be in for a terrible time.

While this story felt more sinister than previous installments, there were moments of sweetness between Charles and Anna and light banter with Tag, anther wolf along for the investigation, as well. Readers also get a more inside look into Bran and Leah’s beginnings, events I’ve always wondered about. Leah seems to be getting a redemption arc and I can tell you I am here for it. She may not have been the most likable character, but I think that is because she is secretive and aloof. Now readers get to learn why she is the way she is.

To my great delight, the ending seems to lead to some big, and quite interesting, changes in the Alpha & Omega world. Not only for Charles and Anna but maybe for Bran and Leah as well. Yes, please. Now I’m left wondering how these changes will tie in with the Mercy Thompson series. Hmmmm…

All in all, a nice addition to one of my favorite series. I wait with bated breath in anticipation of what comes next.

Anna and Charles do not disappoint in this latest Alpha and Omega series. Anna and Charles head to the California forest along with Tag to battle a godlike creature who has made an entire small town disappear. The story also give’s Bran’s mate, Leah, quite the backstory, so maybe she and Mercy Thompson can finally get along. The last chapter drops a doozy of a new storyline too! Looking forward to the next one- thanks @Netgalley for the ARC !!

In this, the sixth installment of the series, the relationship between Anna and Charles has progressed to where it isn't the focus of the book, the mystery is, which I loved. When an entire settlement of people disappears, the FBI seeks out help from Charles and Anna. Accompanied by Tag, they set off for the wilds of northern California where something has been asleep, until now. Along the way they find both help and hindrance from humans and members of other magical groups.

The character development from the previous books continues in this installment and we learn more about Bran's mate Leah and her past. I particularly enjoyed that - it's something I have been waiting to learn for a long time through both this series and the Mercy Thompson series.

If you enjoy Briggs' books, then you will love this one, it's more of the same. One of my favorite things about the world Brigg's has created, is that it's so believable. Her characters are so real. The plotting is intricate, even more so now that the two series have begun to overlap, referencing each other in every book with a few characters that appear in both regularly. This is a strong addition to the world of werewolves Brigg's has created and I highly recommend it! 5 stars!

However, if you haven't read the other books, DON'T start with this one!! Start with Moon Called!
