This is a lovely book that kids ( and adults ) will love. It is written in rhyme and displays delightful illustrations starring an adorable little dragon who has impeccable behaviour and manners. Mostly dragons are portrayed as fearsome and scary but this little darling is refined and very loveable.

The book highlights: sharing, being polite, and using table manners which are wonderful attributes to teach to little ones. The illustrations are colourful and sweet and the positive message is that dragons do make wonderful houseguests so come on in. I highly recommend this book.

"When a Dragon Comes to Stay" by Caryl Hart was a cute picture book about manners. Using a "dragon" as an example, it covers lessons like sharing, attitude, and manners when eating in a fun rhyming text. The illustrations were very sweet as well. This is one I wouldn't mind to have in my collection.

This is a cute, short story about a little dragon who comes to stay, play, and who always has the best manners. It's not very deep, but the drawings are cute.

Caryl Hart did a wonderful job creating a book to help younger readers learn manners. I loved how dragon came and showed lots of ways to be polite when visiting someone's house. The dragon was always kind and modeled to the little readers how to wait your turn, eat politely, and show calm manners when playing. The illustrations were soft and adorable. They fit the story perfectly.

This was a cute book for children helping them understand manners by showing the things the dragon shouldn't do! The illustrations were fun, and included small details that was fun to look at and talk about with my daughter. It came out last week, so if you have any little ones in your life, keep an eye out for this one!

A very charming book teaching kids about having good manners through the sneaky guise of telling you how lovely dragons are and what good manners they have. The illustrations are also darling.

When A Dragon Comes to Stay is such a charming storybook. Rhymes are practically a must for me when it comes to picture books and Caryl Hart weaves delightful ones as she shares this story of manners. Much like dinosaurs, dragons are thought to be fearsome creatures and instantly make everything better. It's fun to see a book share just how polite they are while teaching young ones by their marvelous example. The illustrations by Rosalind Beardshaw are so gorgeous and endearing. I would highly recommend this book

I loved this book for my 4 year old! It is honestly the cutest book about manners and it is not over his head. Just basic manners with the cutest dragon. And if a dragon can do it so can you! I will be adding this to our personal collection as well as our libraries collection.

A cute little book that describes what and how a dragon should act. Of course the child is meant to take the leap that they are the same as the dragon and should or should act the way the dragon does. Or perhaps it’s also the leap of how to act when a friend comes to visit. Honestly, if I can’t determine the difference between the two and read between the lines to know what message the book is trying to teach, I’m not certain that a young child would. But the illustrations are adorable and the book is cute.

This is by far one of the best, most engaging picture books I've seen this year. I was having so much fun reading it that I actually started reading it aloud to my boyfriend with my best Playschool-esque voice. It is fantastically age appropriate, the art is so sweet and bright, and I'm always a softie for a good rhyme. In fact, I'm so impressed by this book that I've decided to get it for a friend's daughter whose second birthday is on the way.

For anyone wondering just what a dragon might be doing in your home, this story demonstrates that they are excellent house guests, and their good behaviour may in turn influence one's children to behave just as well. 10/10 will read again.

OH! what a sweet story! I think littles will enjoy this tale of a well behaved little dragon. It's a bedtime story that isn't too long, but a satisfying length with wonderful accompanying illustrations. Who doesn't love a story with a draqon? And it rhymes- good time to explain poetry. Great story, Caryl Hart!
