If you’re looking for a cowboy romance, this one is for you. The story was sweet and romantic and very well described the setting and characters, in my opinion. It was quite a fun and enjoyable read.

Cowboy's Convenient Marriage is a stand-alone book written by Mary Sue Jackson. The blurb gives up a pretty good idea of what the story is about, so I am going to do expand on that. It also covers about 20% if not more of the book. Emmett took his sweet time before he decided to marry Charlie and I would have liked these pages to be dedicated to some angst and not be a setup for the story. Emmett is a proud man, so the decision was not an easy one for him and I get that. If it wasn't for his mother, I bet he would have given Charlie the boot. The book was everything I expected to read from this author. Well, almost everything because I wanted a little more angst for our characters. Charlie's brother is a pos, but Emmett's cousin, Zadie, was probably the best character in the book and I would love to read her story.

I really like Leslie North. Her characters have lots of depth and are believable. This book was no different. We meet Charlotte when she has found out that her father has left the company to her, but then finds out that she is not a US citizen because of where she was born and could be in jeopardy of losing everything. She finds this out from her “loving” brother. Some brother! What is she to do? Enter Emmett, a former classmate. Charlotte decides that she needs a husband. Emmett needs finances. At first he balks at the suggestion. Then things happen (don’t want to spoil it) and he decides this will be a good deal. What could go wrong?? To find out how this all turns out read this quick read.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this story.

Leslie North consistently brings great characters and passionate romance to life. As a big fan North's, her name provokes an automatic one-click from me. I am always entertained. And new to me author is an added bonus.

Such a sweet and funny romance by a great author. I felt like I was in the book with the description of the farm. A marriage of convenience turns into so much more. I love a good cowboy romance.

One of my favorite tropes in romance is a marriage of convenience, so when I read the blurb of Cowboy’s Convenient Marriage by Mary Sue Jackson, I was just itching to read it. Who can resist a sexy cowboy rancher entering into a fake marriage arrangement? I know I certainly can’t!

So, I got myself real comfy and settled in to read all through the night. While I enjoyed the story for the most part, I don’t think I ever really connected to the characters which made me in turn not really care about their happily-ever-after. I liked the characters, don’t get me wrong, but I just felt their love story was just okay. I wouldn’t necessarily say it was insta-love, but their falling in love really didn’t have enough roadblocks or enough angst where they try to fight off their attraction. It is probably just me and maybe I just didn’t really connect with the story. It never really became deeper than just surface level for me.

I guess I am just middle of the road here. I am sure though that many others will enjoy the story way more than I have.

This was a great marriage of convenience story. I always love how these turn out. It was also neat since it was also a friend's to lovers.

The part that was a little much was the added surprise baby trope. I think the story would have worked better without that.

But overall a cute, fast read.

I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This was a beautiful romance. I've recently been really enjoying this trope and this was no different. I have read quite a few novels by Leslie North now but I have never read anything by Mary Sue Jackson and I did notice a little difference in the writing style. I didn't think it was any worse or better than the typical writing, however.
Normally this trope relies on a lot of sexual tension that implodes and ruins the agreement. And while this was present in the story I enjoyed this more as their relationship was built on a friendship and sweet gestures between them before it jumped to sex. I felt this made me enjoy it more because it felt like a more fluid and developed relationship.
I loved the whole plot with Christian and the court. Emmet's mum was an adorable character and I wish we had more of her and less of Zadie because I just didn't take to her in the same way. The characterization was nice to read and I liked that they developed the backstory more than I expected as it isn't always something that's touched on in romance novels such as these.
Overall, I'd recommend this book. It was a nice and fun read, great pick-me-up.

I always enjoy a good Leslie North book and "The Cowboy's Convenient Marriage" didn't disappoint. The book starts off with businesswoman Charlotte inheriting her father's company after his death. Her brother was NOT happy at all - but her brother doesn't have the same work ethic Charlotte does, so I imagine her father knew best. But her brother isn't giving up without a fight - he found out that Charlotte was born on a yacht just off shore in international waters before her Irish parents became American citizens. So technically she isn't a citizen, but an illegal alien. Her brother threatens to expose her unless she turns over the family business to him. Charlotte brainstorms and realizes if she can find a husband real quick, she can earn her citizenship status and the company will remain hers. But in doing that, will her priorities change and will she want to remain all business and no fun?

This was a cute book that I enjoyed reading - it can easily be read in one day.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

A fun read, lighthearted and simple but enjoyable.
The cover picture is helpful as it does enable the potential reader to gain an impression of what genre the book is.
I like to read something which is romantic as it is a good escapist activity which is always beneficial to well being.

This is one of those books where the lead female character is being blacked mailed by her brother after their father died. Christian the brother of Charlotte has gone up to her after the reading of their father’s will. He tells her she is not here in this country legally for when she was born, she was in the Atlantic, and their parents were coming from Ireland, so she is not a citizen. He will not go to the authorities if she signs over the company to him in a week. Trying to find a way to work around this dilemma. Her best friend Becca reminds her of Emmet asking her to marry him in high school and it also hit the internet. She goes to his ranch and tells Emmet that she accepts his proposal.
Though Emmet still thinks that Charlotte is attractive he really does not want to take her up on this idea of hers but he also is thinking of the place he just moves his mother to and is wanting to move her back to the care facility she had to leave.
You find yourself hoping for these too when Charlotte sees where his mother is at and gets her moved that day. He is able to help her with a problem she was having with her business. It is not until she becomes pregnant that she decides that their time is up and she needs to get back to being a businesswoman. He comes to her help when she overdoes it here as well. See how this all plays out and how you end up with a very good story.

The Cowboy's Convenient Marriage
by Mary Sue Jackson and Leslie North

Charlotte is a prominent wealth & successful business woman who needs a husband for a green card . Whilst Emmett's farm needs financial assistance . As they have known each other since they were young the marriage seems easy.

Lovely easy read with a few twists and turns thrown in for good measure.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Ok, I found this to be pretty unbelievable. Charlotte never got a passport? Pretty irresponsible. I enjoyed the dynamics of Charlotte and Emmett's relationship, it was the premise that failed. As usual a quick read. 3 stars

Nice, breezy read on a Christmas afternoon. Some parts are a little repetitive, but overall an enjoyable read.
I did get a little annoyed at the problems being caused purely by a lack of communication between the 2 main characters, but I understand the reasoning for the point of the story!

Charlotte and Emmet marry for convenience. She needs someone so she can become a resident, he needs help with his mother's care. Sparks fly, and head towards a HEA. Not a bad story, but easy to skim as well. Would recommend if you want a quick and easy romance story.
