This book is a family drama encompassing multiple dysfunctional characters: a married couple, the mother in law, the best friend turned lover, add some pills, amnesia and some bizarre twists.
It always amazes me how the narrators of an audiobook have such a big influence on how much or how little I like a book. It is in situations like this, that I regret not having selected the written copy of the story, perhaps my rating would be higher on printed media. At the minimum, I would have gone through it in a shorter time.
The voices in this audiobook were overdone, the story has many twists but develops slowly and al the final drama is a bit too much. None of the characters were likeable. This book was described as a psychological thriller, but I think it would be more accurately portrayed as a family drama.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC and the opportunity to listen to this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I don’t know, maybe I am not as observant as I thought but I did not see the ending coming. Talk about twists! Holy Hannah! So Diana was in a horrible car crash in her beloved red camero. The car was totaled and Diana was left with amnesia and injured. She is being cared for by her mother-in-law while her husband is having an affair with her best friend. What happened before the accident? What happened before the accident? Was it really an accident?
I listened to this story through NetGalley.
At first I was turned off by the passiveness of Diana’s character and the voice inflictions but then she grew on me. I didn’t feel like she was constantly asking a question by the end of the story.
I thought that this was a good story, I enjoyed the characters and I did not foresee the ending like I do with many others stories. Thank you to Netgalley for the copy of this story.

Overall this was a decent book, especially the ending because I did not see it coming til the end like I can in a lot of books. A few things that I didn't like was that it was pretty slow for most of the book then all of a sudden it really picked up, so the ending definitely felt rushed.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this in return for my honest opinion.

LOved it all the way! I listen and read a lot of thrillers and mystery books so it is not easy to satisfy me. However, this book did it. I would say it is more of a mystery with an unreliable naraitor.

This was a highly entertaining, suspenseful read from Mina Hardy. I listened to the audio version and loved that there were multiple narrators for the different characters and they all did a fabulous job. The storyline takes on the themes of amnesia, extramarital affairs, and mental illness. The whole story had an excellent, well-polished glow and the ending was completely unpredictable.

Diana Sparrow cannot remember what happened, but her broken bones tell the tale of the terrible car accident she had one night while she was driving. However, she has a huge blank spot in her mind of the 5 months before the accident and even presently she is forgetting things like how much wine she has had to drink. She thinks things are one way, but then she will be told by someone like her mother-in-law that they are another way and it is enough to make her think she is losing her mind. On top of this, she is having nightmares ever night about having buried a body by a tree, but she has been assured over and over that no other person was hurt the night of the accident. If this is true though, why the constant dreams? Then there is the fact that her best friend Val and her husband are having an affair. Thankfully she has her mother-in-law to take care of her while she is on the mend, or she would be totally alone. Nothing is what it seems in this psychological thriller.
Although, for this listener, it was indeed how it seemed as most of it was easy to figure out early on in the novel. As a result, a lot of what happened in the book seemed like a no brainer, and then it felt like it dragged on for way too long as the story unfolded to let the listener know what this listener already knew. In fact, I was so disenchanted with the story that on a number of occasions I almost stopped listening. Also, was the narrator for the mother in law purposefully done so she sounded incredibly annoying? She became a character who was easy to dislike, and some of that was just the tone of voice used to read her part. I did not have a lot of sympathy for Diana's plight, as she also seemed to be missing the boat so much of the time, that I could not feel anything but irritated.
Not one of my favorite books of 2021, but just because I did not love it, doesn't mean you won't feel differently!

Thrilling audio experience that will keep you guessing to the very end. Intriguing spin on trauma and memory loss trope. The story is told from multiple points of view seamlessly and effectively; impressed that the audio included multiple narrators. It is very easy to get invested in the characters and immersed in the story. The writing is well done with good pacing. This audiobook kept me engaged from start to finish

I gotta say, I'm really disappointed with this one. It was soooo slooow for 95% of the book. Nearly everything was super predictable. I feel like the author didn't even really try to hide the twists? Except that very last chapter when things got so absurd I started laughing out loud, full on cackling to the point that my fiancé looked at me like I was crazy. Needless to say, although this book has a beautiful cover and an interesting premise, it just wasn't very good and I'm glad to be done with it.
Thank you NetGalley, author, and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed listening to the audio book. The narrators did an excellent job conveying the emotions and kept me engaged with the story throughout. I loved the suspense and wondering who, if anyone, was behind all of the mysterious happenings in Diana's life. Great suspense thriller!

Um.... Wow!!
What a ride this was..My jaw literally dropped at the end. I was absorbed by every bat shit crazy moment.
Diana is badly injured in an accident and cannot remember anything. She knows two things: She is missing 5 months of memory and her friend is having an affair with her husband.
The boom is broken up into three points of view: Diana, Valerie ( her best friend) and Cole. i would of loved to hear Diana’s husband point of view. This fast paces thriller was so addictive. I was listening to the audio book and feel that the narrators did an excellent job. There was so much emotion in their voices. I was finding every excuse to listen to it.
I liked how the author dropped clues along the way. It was almost like bread crumbs for the reader. These twisted charcoal had many secrets. Diana was surrounded by so much chaos that she was constantly trying to figure out is she was paranoid or being screwed. The ending just left me speechless.
4.5 ⭐️

A car accident. Two broken clavicles. Memory loss. An alienated best friend. An attentive mother-in-law. An unfaithful husband.
You won’t believe how these puzzle pieces fit together!
Thanks to #NetGalley, I listened to this Audiobook and it was so good! I hadn’t heard of this title before but thrillers are right up my alley and the premise of the story looked good.
The narrators do a great job of representing the characters. The voice of Diana can get a little annoying at times but once I sped up the narration, it was just fine.
The story moves along at a good pace, and pieces of information unfold in each chapter that expand the reader’s understanding of events.
There was a bit of a lull in the middle of the story that seemed a bit repetitive to me. Same issues occurring again and again. I wasn’t sure if the author was trying to really get her point across of the character’s feelings and concerns or if she was trying to hit a certain word count (this often feels like the case to me when books have repetitive sections in them). Other than those couple of chapters, the rest of the book had me completely in tune with the story and waiting to find out what we would learn next.
And then there is the ending! I hate spoilers and don’t worry, I haven’t added any here. Just make sure you stick with the story so you can get to the ending!! You won’t regret it.
Overall, a great thriller, a good audiobook with well done narration. 4 stars!
Thank you to #DreamscapeMedia and #NetGalley for making this book available for review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I enjoyed the plot of this story. It was entertaining and a little twisty, the characters worked well together and it was good on audio!

This is one crazy, twisted story set in a small town.
Diana has a car accident that leaves her with amnesia. In addition to all the pain in her body, she suffers emotional trauma, psychological trauma and a recurring nightmare.. Her husband, Jonathan is having an affair with her best friend, Val. The more she tries to remember, the more shocking her discoveries.
I could not have seen the end coming. And for me, it was a very twisted and unsettling end. And when one of the characters said ‘this is sick...’, I shared their exact sentiment.

I listened to this as an audio book so it took me a little bit longer to get through. I was a little confused at times when Cole was thrown in to thr mix but I did enjoy the mystery! That twist at the end though!!!! I had a feeling that Diana's MIL was behind the drugging (and a little confused why Diana wasn't more concerned about it) but WOW, I did not expect that! Overall, I enjoyed this very much. It was a little slow at the beginning but it definitely had me guessing along the way!!! Definitely recommend!

This book has it all, an unreliable narrator, unfaithful husband and a mother-in-law who is too involved. After a terrible car accident Diana is struggling both physically and mentally. She can’t remember the time leading up to her accident and she is desperate to gain back her independence.
Unfortunately Diana’s recovery is going slowly, but she’s lucky that her mother-in-law is always there to help her… Or is she?
This is a great book for lovers of suspense in mystery. While the characters are not all that likable, there is a good twist ending.

After All I’ve Done by Mina Hardy
First, I’d like to give a huge thanks to NetGalley for giving me a free copy of this book. I have been trying to get into different genres of books and this was a perfect book to do that! I could categorize it as a mystery thriller and man did it throw me for a whorl.
The story has three different point of views, all telling pieces of a huge story that no one really knows the truth about. Diana is our main character who was in a car accident that leaves her body in shambles and a large part of her memory gone. After she awakes, she soon finds that her husband, Jonathan, is having an affair with her best friend, Val. Now she is stuck living in a home with a husband that unaware she knows about his “late work nights” and only her mother-in-law to take care of her during her recovery process. We are soon introduced to Cole, Diana’s new lover right before the accident who she can not remember. Diana soon realizes that everything she thought and everyone she knew isn’t what she remembered. Is she making these memories up? Is she losing her mind? How can she convince herself what is really happening when she cannot even remember what happened to her?
Again, this is not a normal read for me. Last month a read a book that was similar where you were trying to figure out what the hell was going on just to find out she made it all up in her head. My entire book club was not a fan so I was worried I wouldn’t like this either. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed this book. I wish we had learned a little bit more about Val’s personality and maybe more about Cole. The flash backs were very helpful to see how their friendship grew and became what it was, but it also made me sad that after all those years of loving each other as sisters, that ended when Val fell in love with Jonathan. I was blown away by the ending and even though some of what I thought came true, I was very surprised with it as a whole.
I did pick up on a few things before the ending. Mostly what the mother-in-law was doing. I felt that it was pretty obvious, although we had no idea as to why she was doing it. I also thought it was odd that after everything these girls had been through together, that their friendship would end over some pathetic man. That definitely made me a little upset. The girl’s friendship was not just them painting their nails and gossiping, but true trauma that they had helped each other with during their childhood and into their 40’s. And then after everything that happened… the apologue made me even more sad.
Over all I really enjoyed this book. The few things that I did not “love” were minor and in the end I was still surprised. It was a very odd ending but it also makes sense on why. If you like suspenseful books where the main character doesn’t know if she is mentally ok, this book is for you. I really enjoyed it because it made me re think every single thing that was happening. Thank you again NetGalley!

Cover love, cover love, cover love! Here’s another book I requested on NetGalley based solely on the cover! Absolutely beautiful, don’t you think? After All I’ve Done by Mina Hardy had me HOOKED! My gosh, I was immediately sucked in by the narration. It was on point. I didn’t trust any of the characters in this novel at all. They were all a little sketchy and extremely unreliable. I questioned each and every single one of them. They were all up to no good, but I just couldn’t figure out who was the most sketchiest of all! I didn’t get my answer until the very end, and OH MY, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor! Probably one of the most freakiest and shocking endings I’ve come across in a very long time. It gave me the heebie-jeebies! Overall, this is a solid psychological thriller with a crazy ending that you won’t see coming. After All I’ve Done receives 3.5/5 stars from me!

I went into this story not really knowing anything about the book. I thought the cover was pretty and a thriller audiobook is always on my radar. While I didn't love this story, I also didn't hate it. Val and Diana have a falling out that Diana cannot remember due to losing her memory in a bad car accident, not remembering that she and Val had a plan for Val to seduce Diana's husband Jonathan, to get her out of her marriage with him breaking the prenup. But what is going on with Jonathan's overbearing mother, Harriett, and why does she care so much about Diana's recovery and well being?
There were definitely a few twists in this story that I didn't really see coming, especially the last one. The story took a twisted turn that I did not expect listening to the first half of the book. The narrators did a fabulous job, and kept me interested in the audiobook even when my interest in the story faltered.
A twisted story of deception, seduction, lies, missing memories, and the power of a mothers love, I would definitely say if domestic thrillers are your jam, to pick this one up. I give After All I've Done a 7/10 bubble baths!

Ladies and gentlemen here is another thriller that will keep you in the edge of your seat! Throughout the book I thought I knew what was about to happen but I was wrong every time!
Diana Sparrow had a horrible car accident that left her with memory loss for the past few months. She started having nightmares about the night of her accident. These dreams left her questioning everything she has been told. Diana has no one to turn to. Her best friend Val has been sleeping with Jonathan Diana’s husband. She meets Cole after a art class, but Diana soon realizes Cole knows more than he is telling her. Thank you so much to NetGalley for this audiobook! I would definitely give this book 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️stars’s

This audiobook kept me glued to my earphones as I literally couldn't put it down. Packed with suspense, emotion and trust issues, After All I've Done is something different in the thriller genre.
The novel is about Diana Sparrow and her traumatic memory loss after being badly injured from an accident - or was it an accident? Diana has spent months in recovery, but her injury prevents her from functioning as before. In addition, more pieces of her memory are disappearing, and if it wasn't enough, Diana can't get any proper support from her cheating husband. She makes friends with charming Cole Pelham, but something about him makes Diana question his intentions.
What happened on the day of the accident?
I thought the exploration of memory and memory loss was an incredibly well-written aspect of this novel. I could feel the frustration through the pages, the lack of any actual power Diana had in understanding what happened or in getting better. As I listened to this book an audio, I would highly recommend this format to fellow readers for an extra emotional and creep effect.
