Sarah is a successful lawyer and Adam is an author in a lull. When his mistress ends up murdered in Sarah and Adam’s lake house, Sarah is Adam’s best chance at being acquitted. I’m not typically a fan of fiction audiobooks, but this book kept me hooked from the start. The plot moves along and kept me engaged throughout the story and of course ends with a twist. If you’re a fan of thrillers, this is a must read.

What a ride, the perfect marriage has many twists and turns and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just when I thought I had it figured out the ending took my breathe away. I enjoyed the story but LOVED the ending.

I kept seeing this one pop up EVERYWHERE and knew I had to read it. This book was like a game of clue. You think you know who did it. But then you think it might be this other person. And then you think it could be someone else. I loved how it was told from two different points of view. I can’t wait to see this one turned into a movie or mini series.

Thoroughly enjoyed this suspenseful book! The narration was well done with great character development and a twisty plot that kept my attention until the very end.

In a year of amazing female debut authors, Jeneva Rose joins the ranks of one of the best. The Perfect Marriage is a thriller lover’s dream. It’s twisty, it’s edgy, and it has a jaw-dropping finale that I promise you that you won’t see coming.

I was totally captivated by Jeneva’s strategy of telling the story in alternating chapters, one in the voice of Sarah Morgan, a badass defense attorney, and then one in the voice of her husband Adam, a lying, cheating, down-on-his-luck writer. So often in a book like this, the narrative is from one character’s point of view, and I felt the contrast in the stories gave the book a substance and dimension that left me feeling completely satisfied as a reader.

The narrators, Neil Hellagers and Teri Schnaubelt are amazing, and they definitely added to my enjoyment of this already thoroughly entertaining novel!

Wow! What a strong start to my 2021 reading! I was hooked right from the very start and I just HAD to finish this book. I could not put it down. It’s a great whodunnit storyline. The characters were great and my guesses changed throughout the book. I was a little disappointed with the ending but I still loved the reading experience throughout the book. I had a very hard time with thrillers in 2020 so I was very excited to finally read a good one to kick off the New Year! Very well done. I highly recommend checking this one out.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a free advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the Audio ARC of The Perfect Marriage.

WOW! It was so hard to pause this audiobook. I had theories early on and I was hoping that my theories were wrong so I was pleasantly surprised that as the story develops, I was more and more confused and everyone starts to become a suspect. The author's writing really helped me keep everyone straight because at first when everyone is being introduced, it's a little daunting and I was wondering if I could keep up. But, luckily there are very few scenes with a ton of characters so as I listened it was easy to remember who everyone was. All the way till the very end I was stumped! I'll be recommending this thriller read a lot.

Fast moving thriller. There were definitely some flaws along the way (the carefree way they approached the murder charges was a bit annoying ) but it was so much fun, I didn’t care. I flew through this one because I couldn’t wait to see how it would play out. The ending left me a little disappointed though, but I still recommend it. I’m excited to read another one by this author. Far fetched, but entertaining. A solid 4 stars most of the way, but the ending dropped it down to 3 1/2.

I liked this book, didn’t LOVE it. I’m trying to get more into audiobooks but in this case it just really made it that much more dramatic. Lots of twists and turns. The ending surprised me for sure but seemed pretty far fetched.

This was a solid thriller with unlikeable characters and an unpredictable ending. The storytelling alternates between Adam and Sarah, revealing the problems in their marriage and Adam’s stalled career. There are several suspicious characters along the way who keep you questioning who is at fault. I would have liked the legal proceedings portion to be drawn out a bit more at the end, but overall it’s a twisted domestic thriller.

If you need a quick and suspenseful thriller that will shock you, I recommend picking up The Perfect Marriage! The audiobook was especially easy to listen to with great narration.

Adam Morgan, a struggling writer, is feeling neglected in his marriage with Sarah, a successful defense attorney. When his mistress is found stabbed to death, Adam becomes the number one suspect. Sarah has to face the challenge of tackling her toughest case yet of defending her husband, while trying to save her marriage to a man she hardly recognizes.

Listened to this one with my fiancé on our twelve-hour drive and it kept us entertained for most of the ride. He had more issues with it than I did, especially with the legal jargon and scenarios whereas I found the twist at the end satisfying, albeit insane. It was the perfect audiobook for a long drive because almost every chapter left us placing our bets on whodunnit.

We finished it and talked about it for about one minute and then moved on with the trip 😅. That pretty much sums it up. Entertaining and does its job as a psychological thriller. Would recommend the audiobook because I love quick thrillers to listen to and the narrators were great! Thank you @netgalley and @dreamscapemedia for this engrossing thriller!

It has been a couple if says since I finished this book and I am still thinking about it. The twists and turns of the roller coaster kept me thinking I had figured it out, but I was wrong. I never reread books, but I want to reread it and see if I missed obvious details because I was focused on other characters.

I know I'm in the minority, but I did not love this book. I accidentally downloaded the audio version, and to be fair, this was my first time listening to an audiobook. I am sure I would have liked it a lot better if I was able to read it, since I get distracted and like to go back and reference sections. The narrators' voices didn't fit what I had in my head, and I actually flinched every time the woman narrating Sarah (the wife) read a man's voice, especially the southern drawl of the Sheriff. I also felt the dialogue was a little cliché in parts, and that the narrator for the husband (Alex) withheld in reading the angry parts. The story was pretty flat throughout, but I did add points for the action and twist at the end.

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced reader's copy for review.

This book, especially as an audioboook, was absolutely fantastic. I typically take pride in being able to guess the ending of a mystery or thriller, but I did NOT see that coming. Seriously, if you are looking for something fresh that will keep you in suspense the entire time, I would highly recommend checking out The Perfect Marriage. The audiobook was also very enjoyable and would definitely listen to something from the narrators again.

This was the perfect book to start the new year! Wow! Loved this domestic thriller and its twists and turns. This was a stellar “who done it” mystery just teeming with suspense. I sped through this audiobook in a day. The audio performance was brilliant with two different narrators representing the two main characters Adam and Sara. The plot alternates between Adam, Sara’s husband suspected of killing his mistress, and Sara, a top notch lawyer representing her husband Adam. Unreliable characters combined with a dynamic plot and layers of deceit made this story a fun and riveting read. A gracious thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for an advanced audio version in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for my audiobook. A Perfect Marriage is a twisty domestic thriller that will keep you in suspense until the final twist. Is Adam guilty, or is someone else responsible for the murder? This is one of many questions dominating this puzzling whodunnit. The narration added a level of enjoyment and propelled the story to the breathtaking conclusion. Deception, betrayal and suspicion are perfectly executed as the mystery starts to unravel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book. Didn't work for me at all. Not one likeable or redeemable character, unrealistic story and use of legal procedures.

This superior absolutely engrossing book The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose deserves a perfect five stars! Though the story may be your typical domestic thriller. Husband cheats on wife. Husband's mistress is found dead. Husband is the main suspect. Wife defends husband. The wife's job as a defense attorney is taking off while the husband's writing career plummets. Meet the couple Sarah and Adam Morgan. From the outside, it may look like everything seems perfect in the marriage, but from the inside, ugly secrets fester. Their quiet life was disturbed when Adam's lover, Kelly Summers, was found stabbed to death in their second home, a lake house in Virginia. Is Adam capable of killing the woman he is having an affair with whom he claims she loves? Sarah has decided to defend her philandering husband, find out the truth, and possibly, help set him free.

I know, if you were like me, my first reaction is WTF? Why would she do that? I've read so many mystery, thriller, and suspense novels, particularly domestic and psychological thrillers, to know that Sarah has a motive why she decided to defend the husband who cheated on her and destroyed their marriage. I was able to deduce from the beginning who killed Kelly Summers. While some of you might no longer enjoy the book because you easily found that out, in my case, that made me all the more interested in the book. Because for me, it's no longer the whodunit that satisfies me (believe me with all the books, TV shows, and podcasts I've read, listened to, and watched) but the unfolding of the story. It's the HOW and WHY that makes these types of novels interesting. Jeneva Rose did a solid job with how the story unfolded. Each and every scene is important to the events following. Every character has played an important role in the impact of the main and supporting characters on the roles that they play and on how the story progresses and eventually ends.

The book is told through two voices: Sarah and Adam. I appreciated that for the audiobook, the creators had chosen two narrators for a male and female character. Both Teri Schnaubelt and Neil Hellegers have brought Sarah and Adam to life. Their voice matches the characters' persona. Their pronunciation clear. The recording clear. There is not a single moment that I have lost interest while I was listening. I also enjoyed and appreciated immensely how the author had narrated the story and brilliantly chosen whose voice is going to narrate it. There is one chapter where Sarah is doing most of the action but it was Adam's thoughts I am listening to. This is very interesting how the author has written it this way. To me, this is very brilliant and intelligent of the author to do. I guess this is the author's writing signature.

Are you a fan of domestic psychological thriller? Do you enjoy observing or studying human behavior? The interesting relationship between a doting mother and her son? The friendship between women at work. The relationship between the mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law. A husband having an affair and he is in love with the woman he is having an affair with. I guarantee you will devour this book in a day or two. I just started a new career and I'm still in training. I have a lot of modules to learn and study. Despite all of that, I was still able to finish the book in just a couple of days. It's that good. What a great way to start 2021 with a brilliantly written domestic psychological thriller novel!

My sincerest gratitude to NetGalley, publisher Dreamscape Media, and author Jeneva Rose for providing me an advance digital copy of the audiobook. All reviews are voluntary, honest, and my own.

Thank you Jeneva Rose, Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the #gifted copy of this audiobook.

Sarah and Adam have a perfect marriage... or do they? Adam’s mistress Kelly turns up dead in their lake home and he’s the last one to see her alive; his only hope at freedom is his top notch criminal defense attorney wife Sarah. Can they figure out who really killed Kelly and set Adam free?

If you’re looking for a thriller that will have you guessing up until the very end, this is an amazing option!! There are some great twists along the way, which will have you scratching you head and trying to solve this case alongside Sarah & Adam. And don’t worry... this isn’t a story you’re likely to solve along the way!

The story is told from the POV of both Sarah & Adam, letting us see into the depth of their feelings and also into the case as it unfolds. This is a fast paced read and will have you hanging on the edge of your seat. Expect the unexpected with this one, especially the fourth into the book you get!!!

𝙰𝚞𝚍𝚒𝚘𝚋𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚃𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚜: Since this book is told from the POV of both Sarah & Adam, I appreciated that there were two narrators for this story. Each narrator had a clear and easy to listen to voice, which really help bring the personalities of their characters out in the reading of this story.

No, no, nopety, no.

First, I am no pearl clutcher but this book is vulgar. Like cringy vulgar.

And second, it was interesting enough but it has more plot holes than Nana's afghan.

I thank the publisher for gifting me a copy but this one wasn't for me.
