This one was just ok for me. I didn't realize it would be part of a series either. I'll probably check out the next one to see what happens. Not a super exciting thriller but a decent domestic drama.

Mix together 3 wives and a busy lifestyle and what happens? Add in a mystery and some suspense and you have a very good read.

Shelly Ellis writes a compelling "who-dun-it" coupled with a story of a man with three wives..

This is not just "another multiple wife" book. Here we see the groundwork for a super quick and delightful read.

Try it!

Many Thanks to Kensington Books and NetGalley for a good, quick read.

I have read several books by Shelly Ellis; the last book was “The Final Play. I love her books. In “Three Mrs. Greys, there is mystery, deceitfulness, secrets, lies just too much too much. There’s great word building, action packed and most definitely a page-turner.

Cyrus’s lifestyle made it easy for him to have 3 wives he travelled all the time. There are three Mrs. Greys, Noelle who is a model and is wife # 3, Diamond who is wife # 2, a drug addict, lady of the evening who Cyrus saves from her pimp and she wants a baby and then there’s Vanessa who is wife # 1 and she and Cyrus have three children; and she is having an affair with her son’s coach because she is lonely and Cyrus isn’t spending very time with her. How could he with 2 other wives. Messy, messy. Each, woman thinks she’s the only wife. It’s a mystery how Cyrus was able to pull it off. I was hooked from page one and could not put it down. But I needed sleep.

Cyrus and wife # 3 are together and he gets shot and is rushed to the hospital. Now all of the drama begins and the next of kin who is Vanessa is called to the hospital and Cyrus’s business partner Tariq calls Noelle; now all three Mrs. Greys are at the hospital.

This is oh so good and I hope that it comes out on audiobooks and I will be able to hear all of the drama with all of the characters. Shelly, hurry up and write book # 2, why a cliff hanger?

Thank you Netgalley and Dafina Kensington Books for giving me an ARC. I’m voluntarily leaving my review.

The Three Mrs. Greys was a fast-paced read full of secrets, drama, and lies. It was a juicy story! What happens when a wealthy businessman thinks he can have it all? What happens when the lives of three women are turned upside down in the blink of an eye? Who can be trusted?

While I did not find the storyline to be the most original, there was definitely enough spice and adventure to keep the reader engaged all the way through. This was a fun one.

Cyrus Grey is a very busy man. Just ask his three wives: Noelle, Diamond and Vanessa. That is right. Mr. Grey has three different “families.” So he is spending a lot of time, and money, trying to keep all of these people happy. And you and I both know that there is more to this story than meets the eye. After all, the wives all “discover” each other because Cyrus is shot….by somebody. So, who do you think did it? Was it one of the wives? Somebody that Cyrus does business with. Or was this a random shooting? Inquiring minds would like to know. This is an awesome read, and I enjoyed this story immensely. It was a toss up between reading as much as I could and trying not to read too fast because I did not want it to end. If you are looking for a really good book that is a page-turner, this is the one for you. And since there is a cliff-hanger at the end, I cannot wait to see what happens next! Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to read this book!

What do you get when you cross one man, three wives and an unknown gunman?

Cyrus Grey is a successful businessman, father and husband x 3. As our story begins Cyrus is shot outside of wife #3's home. Wife #1 rushes to the hospital after being notified of her husband's accident only to learn there's another woman waiting who also claims to be Mrs. Grey.

As the story progresses we follow the women in the days after the shooting as they try to figure out who wanted Cyrus dead and why.

I quickly realized who was responsible for the attack and their motivation. Once it was confirmed I was annoyed by the simplicity of it all. The detectives investigating the shooting seem to have no clue what is going on and seem to only exist for the purpose of harassing and scaring the wives. They are rude, unprofessional and just plain dumb.

Unfortunately, most of the characters are unlikable. Quite honestly it was hard to care about 3/4 of them. They are not well developed and it's difficult to care about their fates. The plot could benefit from more time and attention if not in this book perhaps in the next installment. Too bad I won't get any closure, but I do not care enough for these characters to stick around and find out.

This book was effing crazy from start to finish and I could not put it down!! Cyrus is married to three different women who are all unaware of each other's existence. Cyrus is shot and all the wives are frantic. Vanessa is having a fling and the fling becomes obsessed with her and said she will pay. Diamond has a dark, shady past. Noelle wants a baby with Cyrus, who is unwilling because he has other children unbeknownst to Noelle. There is also a seedy business partner. Who really shot him?

This book has so many twists and turns and so glad I subscribe to Netgalley emails, this book was recommended as one of the early great thrillers of 2o21. Highly recommended and not predictable. I had not heard of Shelly Ellis before this but I am aware now and look forward to more of her books if they are as good as this one, Buying this at publishing date.

All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks to Netgalley, Shelly Ellis, and Kensington Books Dafnia for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Fast-paced story that keeps the reader guessing. This is a classic Whodunnit? Was it one of the three women married to the same man, or was it one of their “friends” or one of his associates?
The writing was done so well! I enjoyed this book alot.

I thought this was a fun book, but the idea lacked originality to me. It was ultimately predictable and filled with all of the most common tropes in this genre. I think if I'd read it in 2010, I would have thought it was really good - but these ideas are played out.
I might recommend this to someone who wants to explore thrillers as a new genre for them, but definitely not for more seasoned readers.

This was an interesting read. Three wives and one scheming husband with a shady business partner.

I didn't find this book very enjoyable and I was surprised that it's going to be a series. How much further can you take it? I'll post my final review closer to pub day.

Alexa, why are men?

Seriously… reading the men in this book makes you wonder if we should do without them. Okay, okay…I know not all men are like this, but in this book? Holy crap!

I guess this could best be described as an urban domestic thriller filled with so many trashy people. Out of all our main characters, I liked two: wife #3 and wife #2 (in that order). The rest – well, you know what you do with trash!

The story moves very quickly and the author does a good job of getting us thoroughly involved in their hot messes. Expect sharp dialogue, edgy situations and a lot of sex!

The book does end on a cliff-hanger, but it didn’t leave me irritated. It did leave me wanting book 2!

A good read.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book Cyrus was shot and is recovering in the hospital. He is currently married to Noelle,Diamond and Vanessa. None of them know that Cyrus had other wives. This book kept me interested from the start.

I find stories about people who live a double life fascinating. In the case of Cyrus Grey, he is living three different lives.
The first live seems to be the most normal. He has been married to Vanessa for around 10-11 years and they have three kids. Vanessa seems to be the only one who knows something is up since Cyrus doesn't really pay her much attention which leads her to have an affair with her son's coach.
Then we have Noelle, who is sort of unstable but wants to have kids, which is something Cyrus doesn't appear to want. They have been married for four years.
His most recent wife Diamond, well the name really tells you all you need to know. They have been married a year. Out of all of them, she comes with the most baggage that we are led to believe cost him his life. She's a recovered drug addict and an ex prostitute
So when Cyrus is shot while out with Diamond, the three wives come together at the hospital. The story is a story of Who Done it? Did one of the wives manage to do this or was it some of Cyrus's shady associates? All in all it was a great thriller who kept you guessing and invested throughout the whole book.
Thank you so much to #Netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

I received an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review

This is exactly the kind of book you want to read in a Severe Weather Emergency lockdown. Trust me. It’s soapy in a good way but suspenseful enough to keep you turn in pages. Perfect escapism.

Received this book as an ARC from Net Galley. This was my 1st read by this author but won’t be my last. From the very 1st chapter I was captivated by the characters. This book was full of lies, secrets and suspense. I can’t wait to read the next installment.

After watching Sister Wives and then reading The Wives, polygamists fascinate me. Obviously in Sister Wives they know about each other. I was looking forward to another book about a man who was juggling spouses that didn't know about each other. It is hard to imagine, but I'm sure it does happen. This was a fast paced book that kept me guessing until the very end. I really enjoyed it!

Great book! I liked that the author didn’t wait a long time to introduce us to the 3 main women - that way the action could start right away! Throughout the book I sympathized with each of the women - a difficult feat to do being that they were all at first against each other. Enjoyed this read, and look forward to more books from this author!
