I enjoyed this book. It was a fun, light read and, although I'm not really into sports romance, I did enjoy the plot.
I did enjoy the level of steaminess from this book - you normally don't see it in chick-lit books like this! This made the whole book get an extra star in my rating.
The One-Night Stand by Elizabeth Hayley is an easy going, flawless sports romance that I couldn't put it down.
Whatever you need in a good story it has all the elements like Secrets, romance, lies and emotions. It's a very well written story which I Highly Recommend.
The One-Night Stand has been on my TBR for several years. I've tried to get into it, but it just isn't for me. I'm sorry! I'm sure others will love it.
Such a great story. Was very easy to fall in love with and the story line was amazing. I love Elizabeth Hayley!
A funny, sweetly sexy and engaging romantic journey that is filled with witty banter, heart pounding action and undeniable passion.... The charters are interesting, engaging and relatable. An edge of your seat emotional roller coaster from beginning to end.
At this time, as I am guessing is obvious by the publication date that was literally years ago, I have decided not to review this title.
Technically, I made this decision a while ago, but was not as prompt with sending feedback as I should have been. My apologies for the delay, as well as clogging up your inbox with this very late review response.
As always, while incredibly late, I thank you for the opportunity to read and review one of your titles.

This was a fun romance, I had so much fun with these characters and watching their growth and affection over time. This was a solid romance read!
I really loved this book and the chaos that it held. I found myself not ready to put it up and do other things. Definitely a one-sitting type of book!
I really like this book it was pretty good easy read definitely recommend
The book grabbed me from the the beginning to the end
The One-Night Stand is an easy-to-read sports romance. It has the drama, secrets, and lies that I don't always get in a sports romance. Always enjoy reading this fun writing duo.
Gabriel is a recently retired MLB player and looking to move on from that career. And he does that quite quickly when he takes over the exclusive Players Club. He is used to being in the limelight but this is something different. He gets wrapped up in scandal and drama. He needs something or someone to get his mind off some of his troubles. And he finds that in an old friend named Rachel.
Rachel is an investigative sports journalist. She is waiting for her one big break and hopes that it comes soon. When she sees Gabe again at a party, the sparks are still there. Their chemistry is fiery and hard to resist. A one-night stand might be the best thing for both of them right now.
But that one-night stand turns into many more. They both go into this relationship with ulterior motives so you can expect things to get tricky after they start to catch feelings.
I give The One-Night Stand 4 stars. It's a cute sports romance that had just the right amount of drama and intrigue. Elizabeth Hayley bring the sexy and witty banter that is their signature.
It's a cute story after the betrayal. But who can really get over any betrayal? You will have to learn to forgive and let go of the past. And sometimes, it will still stick with you no matter how much you try.
I love Elizabeth Hayley and their writing can do no wrong in my eyes!

I don’t usually like to leave reviews for books that I DNF , but here goes.
This one just felt like it was droning on forever in the beginning and I just COULD NOT get through the first half.
I may pick it up in a different t season and give it another shot.
This was a meh for me. It's a cute story after the betrayal. But who can really get over any betrayal? It's a hard swallow. You will have to learn to forgive and let go of the past. And sometimes, it will still stick with you no matter how much you try.
Second chance at romance are a fun genre to read. You get to see the characters in the past and today. We get to watch them evolve and truly come to understand who they are and what went wrong with the romance the first time.
This was a sweet second chance romance and a sports romance as well. I'm not personally a big fan of second chance romances, they don't always work for me. This one was kind of in the middle for me. I didn't totally love it, but I didn't totally hate it either.
This novel follows Gabe and Rachel, on their journey to finding love again. Gabe was such a sweet character, I loved him so much. I loved how much he loved Rachel. Rachel, on the other hand, is a reporter She came back to their town, set on a mission, which really didn't sit well with me. As much as I loved Gabe, I really couldn't stand Rachel.
I had some issues with the characters in general and the overall story, which ruined the fun for me. I still think it's a nice, fresh read, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a sports romance that's not a new adult novel.
A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a free copy of the ebook in exchange for an honest review.

The One-Night Stand was a nice second chance at love kind of book. In it, you will meet Gabe and Rachel. He lives in the sports world and she just happens to be a reporter. It also doesn't hurt that they used to date in college. So when they run into one another, well, sparks were bound to fly.
Now I'll admit that they had chemistry but I wasn't a huge fan of them at the same time. Don't get me wrong. I loved Gabe. He was super sweet and just a genuine personal overall. The reason why he had to step back form the game was very interesting and he was really happy/excited to get Rachel back into his life.
As for Rachel, hmm.. I didn't like some of the decisions that she made. It just ended up rubbing me the wrong way. She was a nice girl on her own but being a reported made it seem like she crossed the line too many times. Plus basing a relationship on a lie didn't seem right either. It wasn't like they were fake dating or anything. No, it was just a lie in general.
In the end, it was a cute book that was easy to fly through.

Enjoyed this second chance romance from Author Elizabeth Hayley.
Gabe and Rachel's story was sweet and fun.
I liked this romance story that has some surprising twists and turns on getting to the HEA.
Omg this was so good. Not sure what I expected but I went in blind to and I'm so glad I did. So enjoyed it.
Thanks for this Arc. Can't wait to read more form this author.
Thank you to netgalley, the author and the publisher for the review copy.
The One Night Stand was a quick and easy read with a little steam and a pretty cover to go with it. The premise was interesting, a second chance romance filled with lies and deceit but I found that the only likeable character (for me) was Gabe. I found some parts of the writing to be quite flat with some of the descriptions being very basic and one dimensional. There are some witty lines and decent banter but some of the jokes, particularly those pertaining to the lgbt characters were awkward, uncomfortable and inappropriate in my opinion. Overall an okay read for something quick and easy to get lost in.
