I am sorry for the lack of a stellar review, but I don’t think these books are the right fit for me at this time. I'm not really a fan of romance mixed with thrillers and would hate to have a preconceived bias toward this story before reading it. I wouldn't want my review to be tainted because of that. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

I didn't enjoy reading Love Me Dead. I am giving the book 1 star.
I found this to be an enjoyable read, keeping me on my toes throughout. The storyline was written well and flowed seamlessly. I look forward to reading more by this author!
I enjoy reading Lilah's stories, however, I hoped that by now the books would not end in cliffhangers. Even so, the story got my attention from the beginning. Some pending questions from the previous books are solved, Lilah and Kane's relationship is still a mystery but there's no doubt he is important in her life. There's also a change in scenery, Lilah now works in New York. Enjoyable and entertaining!
I downloaded a copy of this book through NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
From the get-go, I was hooked on Lilah Love! I ended up reading the entire series - fabulous! Full of intrigue, suspense and hey - you just can't put it down!
Love Me Dead (Lilah Love #3). By Lisa Renee Jones. 2019. Julie Patra Publishing. (eBook ARC).
Two twisted murders put FBI agent Lilah Love on the case of a serial killer she dubs Umbrella Man as her lover, Kane Mendez’s attentions are divided between her, the Society and the Cartel. An entertaining page-turner that ends in a Jones’ trademark cliffhanger. I am getting tired of Lilah pulling her gun numerous times on people that she isn’t going to shoot, though.
Lilah Love is a twenty-eight-year-old FBI profiler working on murder investigations in Los Angeles. A serial killer, known as the Umbrella Man, is targeting people but now he wants to play a game... with Lila herself. As Lila doesn't like to play games, her sort-of-ex Kane Mendez, CEO of Mendez Enterprises, tries to play for her.
Love Me Dead is equally as good as both Murder Notes and Murder Girl. The mystery is an involved and complex one, so I was grateful I had read the other instalments, though the author thoughtfully provides a who's who as an aide-memoire. Reading Love Me Dead, I continued to enjoy the characterisation of Lilah who is certainly a tough cookie with a strong mind.
With its poised balance of intrigue, edginess, and raw emotion, the story concludes leaving the reader anxious for the next instalment. Personally, I can't wait. An enthralling, dark, deeply enjoyable read, well worth five stars.
I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.
Took awhile to get through all 4 books but it was worth the wait. I adore this authors writing style and was not disappointed in these. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
And the story continues. Can Lila Love FBI catch the murderer they are now calling the umbrella man and how does he relate to her, and her handsome hunk of a man, if not necessarily legal man. Can he keep her alive as we as in a job?
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
In this one the killer wants to play but Lilah doesn't. So Kane tries to play in her place. No go for the killer since he is not the player that the killer wants playing. So she does so lives can be saved except one. This will make you turn the pages to see if she wins.
What this book is missing? Well, first and foremost, Ghost! This book lacks my most favourite character while the plot sadly didn't differ much from the first two.
It's not the series, it's me. I usually do not read such soft thrillers as this one and I am sorry for not liking it more but... It's just filled with annoying chatacters who seem to care about their relationships with each other than actually solving the cases they're confronted with.
(Honestly, we're still going after Junior?! And we're not really making any process at all?! Damn, what do these people do all the time? That's right, planning a wedding, being jealous of their fiancé's ex-girlfriend and forming rivalries and ties that are more confusing than the alliances in Game of Thrones!)

Really LRJ? Don’t do this to me again. Where in the world is Kane? That’s all am going to ask..
Also this is another scorcher. Classic Lilah Love... Can’t wait for next book.

This was a suspenseful and enticing read. I have not read anything by Lisa Renee Jones until this one. I like her style and the build up of the story.
I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.
Agent Love is my favorite! She is 💯 real and does not really care what people think of her. She has a past that haunts her, but she is trying to do good for what she did. As she works and profiles killers she begins to truly understand what really happened to her and who was involved and who might have been a part of this. Fantastic series!
I LOVE Agent Love! she is badass and Kane is pretty amazing as well. Need more of these books.
This is part of an ongoing series that focuses on the same main characters: an FBI agent h and a notorious "businessman" with strong connections to the family cartel H. It is not a stand alone, so you really need to read the books before this one to understand the dynamics (especially between the mcs and the h's family), and the mystery is continued. I really like this series, and I am looking forward to picking up where this book left off!
I love books with a strong female protagonist and Lilah Love is that in spades! She is a potty mouth, take no guff, balls to the wall hunter/profiler with the FBI. While this is book 3 in a series, I started with this one and did not feel left out. Characters from the previous books appear and are integral to this story; especially Kane – the dark, on-the-edge-criminal, love interest. The attraction between Lilah and Kane sizzles yet any intimate moments are discreet. This fast paced story does end with a cliff hanger but I’m eager to continue this ride to find out who the Umbrella Man is! I didn’t want to put this book down so I will make sure to clear a weekend to continue with book 4 in this series.
Another favorite by a great author. The plot of the story was very well written. The author really draws the reader in as you read. I felt like I was an unnamed character in the story. Cannot wait for another story.
“When Kane kisses me, he always kisses me like he needs me to save him, while I always kiss him like I’m hoping he’ll destroy me.”
Love me Dead by Lisa Renee Jones tells the ongoing story of FBI agent Lilah Love. In this book she is thrown into new case that seems again to be aiming for her or maybe her boyfriend with mafia ties, Kane Manendez. Lilah has finally accepted that she can’t walk away from Kane and the love they have for each other and even moves back into their apartment they had bought together.
Lilah and Kane together really makes this series for me. I do enjoy following Lilah’s character in general with her dry whit and intense intelligence in case solving. The mysteries are fun too. But the relationship with Kane really makes the story. Lisa Renee Jones just knows how to write relationships I love to read about. I do have a huge problem with most of the books of this series ending on major cliff hangers, where it feels very awkward to end the book there. The characters have helped me to overlook that and I still give this book 4 stars.

This reminds me slightly of series like the Alex cross series where you have to read them in order to understand each villain that sticks around. Or maybe like Jack Daniels? I dunno, either way, the books are a commitment and the romantic element is ongoing as well. This is definitely something she plans on writing for a while. Good thing because i really enjoy these! #netgalley #lovemedead
