Love Me Dead is the third Book in the In the Lilah Love series, Lilah is such a fantastic, dynamic strong chacter. She is now in New York an in a relationship with Kane Mendez.

A request has been put out for Lilah to do a profile on a NYPD case. This book was fantastic with several twists and turns.

I love this series and hope it continues.

In the third instalment of the Lilah Love series, Lilah is now based in New York and despite her misgivings, in a relationship with Kane Mendez, the love of her life. Before she can settle down to domestic bliss a new killer calls her out to play. In Love Me Dead an official request has been made, supposedly by her former mentor, for Lilah to do a profile on an NYPD case but as in the previous books nothing is what it seems and she’s soon up to her neck in another case where the body count is rising and the killer’s end came is Lilah Love herself.

I absolutely love this character. She steals every scene she’s in. She’s a complete bitch and doesn’t care who knows it – if anything she considers it a badge of honour. She doesn’t suffer fools and expects the people around her especially those in law enforcement to do their jobs by the book even though she threw that book away herself a long time ago. The plot which would probably be best described as dark romantic suspense is fast paced and doesn’t let up for second. It’s full of twists and turns and like Lilah I was second guessing everyone’s motives. The romance element with Kane adds some relief from the tension. They are the perfect match for each other. Each preventing the other from letting the darkness overwhelm them.

This book does end on a cliffhanger but after reading the first duet I was expecting this and have already downloaded the next book.

I love Jones's writing. I hate her cliffhangers. They're just cruel to the reader :-). I read the first two books in this series when they were published but never got to this one until now. I was left wondering what came next for Lilah and Kane. I love them both. Lilah's edginess seems like such a refreshing way to live. She doesn't sit around wondering what people think of her or worrying that she's too aggressive. And Kane loves her for it not despite it. He's his own kind of edgy, the depths of which we don't know and may never.

Though I love Lilah's character at times I got a bit overwhelmed and tired of her crankiness. Just because I admire her, doesn't mean she can't get on my nerves. Man I love Kane. I love his love for Lilah and his ability to take care of her when she's not one to let anyone take care of her.

As always though, Jones left us hanging and it's torture to wait for the next story.

Third in this series. I have a love/dislike relationship with Agent Lilah Love and this book slides more to the “dislike” end of the spectrum. And it ends on a stinking cliffhanger. The story and I mean the good guy/bad guy, mystery, is excellent. I find the constant tough girl complex gets old. I have not decided whether to continue the series. Know this ends on a complete non ending.

Love Me Dead is the third book in Lisa Renee Jones Lilah Love series and while my dislike of Just cliff hangers is well documented, I have continued to read Ms Jones as she is a talented author but finding out that this third instalment does not conclude the story was frustrating. Don’t get me wrong, the book is good and has plenty of suspense and intrigue to keep the reader interested, but how long can you drag one story out before it becomes mundane? I’m not impressed this story is unfinished as previous books were written as trilogies and I expected all loose ends to be tied up by now. Thoroughly disappointed.

Love Lisa Renee Jones. Have read her in the past. These titles were wonderful, but all ended on a cliff-hanger. There was no resolution and I will have to keep reading and keep reading and keep reading. That's not a bad thing and I enjoy seeing a continuation of characters from title to title, but I don't like books that leave you mid-scene or mid-conversation for a "to be continued" kinda vibe. If it weren't for that, I'd be a huge fan of this new series.

This is the third book by the Author that features Lila Love - but it forms the 1st part of a duet .... by this I mean that the next book will be the one to fully resolve the cases ????. The book continues the arc covering the mysterious Society - a group of rich men conducting criminal acts .

In this book we see the emergence of the Umbrella man , a serial killer who also has his sights set on Lila .
With the help of her lover Kane , Lila continues in her quest to solve the murders ........ the banter between the two one of the highlights of the book .

However I find it difficult to read a series of books that do not resolve/reach a conclusive point , and therefore will not be continuing with the series . Very Disappointed !

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the beginning of a new case. This is one of the most creepiest serial killer cases I've read, the only one that tops it is Shiloh Walkers' trilogy. I'm glad that Lilah finally figured out where she stood with Kane, he would do anything for her and she deserves that. Kane is a good guy. The scene in the restaurant across from the crime scene was funny, most people aren't sure how to take Lilah but this waitress gave as good as she got.

This was another Lilah win and I would recommend this book. Cant wait to get started on the final book for this case. So good!

This is the third book in the Lila Love series and it is the first of a duet. As with the prior duet, this book begins that mystery and hopefully it will be resolved in the next book. There is also an ongoing story arc about the Society (a group of rich men who are doing something nefarious- the books slowly uncover more and more about this mysterious group).

In this book, we are introduced to the Umbrella Man who is a serial killer who is killing multiple people but also targeting Lila Love. The cast is expansive and include many of the same players as the last two books but it's really great that the author starts with kind of a cast of characters so I think you could probably read this without reading the first 2 books in the series with very little trouble. The mystery is very detailed and interesting. Lila and her love, Kane, continue to steam things up and banter, which is also a fun aspect. I wish that the mysteries were all resolved in 1 book and sometimes I feel like things drag a little bit (I felt like the first duet could have been one book with minimal loss of content). Otherwise, though, I'm interested to see how everything resolves! Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book.

Ok, THREE books in and still no conclusion. WTH???
Lilah is as bitchy as ever.
The series ends here for me.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for my honest review.

Sorry story ends here for me, too many wasted hours for just another cliff hanger ending. Will we ever get a conclusion ?

Exciting and fast paced, yes; but did the story actually move on much really? It ended on a cliffhanger and I certainly don't feel any closer to an overall resolution than I did before. Lilah is exhausting and abrasive as ever, I remain team Kane, I'm still not sure about her boss ...

I think the journey ends for me here.
