I loved this book from start to finish and really didn’t want to put the book down. Such a feel good read. Worth recommending to add on to your summer reads.

I really enjoyed this book, it is my first Phillipa Ashley story, It is based on a young lady who finds herself heading to a small Cornish village to find the man who saved her life.
I love the detail in this story of the location and the characters, I was able to picture myself being there looking out at the view of the community from rose’s window. It is a lovely story of hope and friendship. I will definitely be looking out for more Philippa Ashley books. If you haven’t read it I would definitely recommend it, it is a lovely summer read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Charming and heart-warming, An Endless Cornish Summer is the perfect summer read!

This story follows Rose, a young woman recovering from a life-threatening condition and hoping to get her life back on track. Determined to make the most of her second chance at life, Rose seizes the opportunity to move to Cornwall for a summer position. Of course, the fact that her life-saving donor may or may not be Cornish has nothing to do with her decision...

Rose soon settles into the rhythm of village life, becoming a familiar face around the small town where she's based. Rose's summer becomes much more interesting than she'd planned, with new friends and a sizzling love triangle in store!

Rose is a brilliant main character. She's likeable, down-to-earth, and I could easily see myself in certain facets of her personality. The rest of the characters are also great, breathing life into the story. From quirky Oriel to the mysterious Morvah brothers, there are plenty of strong characters in this book. There's also a healthy dose of humour at the expense of the universally disliked Nige!

Myths and legends are another strong theme in the book. Cornwall is known for its folklore, and some of these ancient tales and historical sites are brought to life in the pages of this book.

An Endless Cornish Summer is a delight and it was over far too soon. It's immersive, well written, and will instantly transport you to the beautiful Cornish coast!

This is a nice summer read, the first half seems very drawn out , it’s not taxing and the characters are quite easy to read, one of my pet hates is lots of over thinking and questions not being asked and this book is full of them, if you just want an easy read round the pool this is the book for you

I absolutely loved everything about this book! Rose Vernon has survived a life threatening illness with a bone marrow transplant.

After a loss she decides to contact the donor and after some clues from the stationary she travels to Cornwall to a small town to get close to them. She also is an archaeologist and has a dig nearby as to not look like a creeper.

She has narrowed it down to two men in town. This town is small and after finding a place to let she is swept up in the small town life and gets really close to everyone.

I love these small town, romantic summer stories! There was a bit of a love triangle, there was boat making, a King Arthur dig, a fun astrology shop, storms, so much! I had so much fun in this book!

I really loved Finn but everyone wants Joey. We all know those brothers.

I am thinking of getting this for my cousin who reads my posts I think lol. Her beautiful daughter had a liver transplant when she was two and everyday is a miracle of life. And writing the donor's family was a bittersweet endeavour since their loved ones' life was lost tragically young. This story is about a living donor which is an awesome gift! PSA consider signing up to be a donor esp for blood I think there's a shortage right now but def for organ or bone marrow.

After a bereavement and a tough few years health wise, Rose travels to Cornwall for the summer. She's not only working but she is trying to discover the identity of the person who donated Bone Marrow that helped her to overcome cancer.

Finn and Joey are brothers with a lot of differences, as well as a lot in common. Is one of them Rose's donor? And is romance on the cards?

A lovely read from Philippa Ashley with evocative descriptions of the wonderful North Cornish coast.

An Endless Cornish Summer by Phillipa Ashley is a romance but with so much more to recommend it. Rose had had a tough few years. She had been diagnosed with aplastic anemia with her only chance for survival a bone marrow transplant. Her mother and grandmother were too old to donate and she had no other close relative so she had to resort to the registry, where, thank God, she found a match. She was health and well, with not residual effects except for a daily dose of anti-biotic. Now her grandmother, the woman who had raised her and loved her, had left her a letter, in which, despite what she had said in the past, she told her to get in touch with her donor and thank him. With that in mind, she applied for a got a grant to explore an archeological site, near where she believed he lived. There she met many people who were to become good friends, starting with Oriel who was to become her landlady. From the window of her apartment she could she the boatyard of the Morvah Boat Builders, where she could see Dorinda, the boys' mother, and Finn and Joey, the boat builders. She was immediately warned against Joey, as he was a bit of a womanizer, but she found him charming and he was going to teach her to pilot a boat, so that was good. Finn was the one she was drawn to but her seemed to have no interest in her.

This was a lovely little story, of course, rife with miscommunication, or lack if it all together. The characters were interesting, all with their problems but eminently human and lovable. As Rose became part of the community she became part of the fabric of the relationships between all these small town people who had not desire to be anywhere but this lovely small town on the beach. It was an enticingly written novel with enough twists and turns to keep the reader, all the while aiming for the conclusion, which was destined from the beginning. In a romance, the ending is pretty well assured early on so it is the journey and this was an enjoyable journey with tidbits of local legends, archeology, sailing, and woodworking, thrown in for fun. I found it very entertaining. Read it for yourself.

The first in a gorgeous new series “A Perfect Cornish Summer” by Phillipa Ashley. I am glad I decided to try a Women's Fiction for a change from mysteries as it was a very entertaining, easy read.

Rose Vernon is headed to a quiet Cornish village – to find the man who saved her life.

I visited Cornwall 4 years ago the way this is written I was transported back and could picture it in full colour. The author was good at describing the every day life in a Cornish harbour town. Learning about boat building and Cornish myths and legends was fascinating as well.

I found the characters to be well developed, and multi-dimensional. There were lots of twists and turns and multiple sub-plots to keep you engaged and interested in the outcome. I will definitely read other books by this author.

I throughly enjoyed my Cornish summer escape and I didn't want to leave. It just sounded idyllic. This is a heartwarming story with romance. A perfect summer read.

The setting was just stunning. I found the boat building and cornish myths and legends fascinating. There were so many fabulous characters. As friendships develop Rose finds herself drawn into the community, making it more and more difficult to tell the residents why she is really there.

This is a poignant and moving story. It's also thought provoking, raising awareness of the importance of stem cell donation. Everyone on the register makes a difference.

Rose Vernon has gotten a new lease on her life thanks to an anonymous donor, she now strives to live to her fullest. Rose decides it's time to find and thank the person who saved her life, which also coincides with an archaeological dig Rose has been accepted for. She has narrowed her search down, however she doesn't know which of the Morvah brothers it is. In an attempt to get close to each of the brother, Rose is right at the centre of a small town of Falford.
This book has all the vibes of a small Cornish fishing town. We see the close knit community and how everyone looks out for each other. There are events of the past which have everyone keeping a closer eye on Rose as she's interacting with both Finn and Joey. The Morvah's build customised boats, and are obviously experience in sailing, that we see their strenghts and even when Rose is learning to sail as well.
Rose is a professor of Archeology and her field work has gotten her to the town. I loved ht she spoke about her work, and there is definitely more charm when a town has so much tangible history to witness.
The town people were so unique, having their own roles on a daily basis but also while putting together events. Dorinda is such a powerful character and one can see how everyone admires her.
An Endless Cornish Summer was such an experience. It was a fun and quick read with elements of serious and real issues.

This book begins with Rose visiting Cornwall on a quest to find her anonymous bone marrow donor who saved her life. It is lovely to see her taking a chance and living her life to the full.
The location of Falford, in Cornwall was described in a lot of detail. When I read some of the details I could imagine it perfectly. For example the description of the view from Rose's window was so vivid that I felt like I was standing at the window looking out too.
I loved the characters in this book, apart from Nigel, although I think that there could have been a bit more of his villainy, as he was certainly entertaining.
This is lighthearted Summer escapism. It was an easy and enjoyable read. Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

This is a quick easy read, a nice romance set in gorgeous Cornwall. A story about mostly nice people, with a happy ending. Not much more to say really. Nice.

The reader is introduced to the main character Rose whose life was saved by a bone marrow donor. As a result she is able to pursue her career of becoming an archaeologist. We follow Rose on her journey of discovery - to find the person who saved her life as well as a new romance. A great page turner. Thanks once again to net galley

A delightful light summer read, set in an idyllic community where everyone gets on and looks after each other which really feels appealing after 15 months of pandemic isolation. Bringing in archaeology, plenty of Cornish myths and folklore and a love of sailing and the joy of being in or near water, this is a fascinating and engaging book. I enjoyed the story arc of Rose, enjoyed the way she supported Oriele both with her business efforts and also with her relationship with Naomi, the way she was enthusiastic about her job and also the way she processed getting to know both Joey and Finn. It was also fun to see her adjust to life in a small community and quickly find her place, I think this is what Phillipa Ashley does best, she creates wonderful communities and shows how to integrate yourself and how that can give a sense of belonging.

This One Checks All of the Boxes!
This is a marvelous book. I learned so much about the Cornwall area that it has climbed into the top 10 of my bucket list. I learned more about sailing and sailboats that I may have to take some lessons this summer. I also really enjoy the fact that this story is based around a person who is alive due to the generosity of strangers. We should all be willing to give bone marrow and plasma to those in need. The life story of all of the characters was so realistic. Small towns everywhere have the same group of gossips, organizers, know-it-alls, and skilled tradesmen. This was a neat book to read and it begs to be read again. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.

Another heatwarming summer read from Phillipa Ashley set in such a beautiful location. With her descriptive writing I could almost feel as though I was there. Pure escapism from the worries of real life right now.

The main character Rose has recovered from a serious illness thanks to a stem cell donor. She now thinks she has located the donor and goes off in search of him in Cornwall. Here she meets the Morvah brothers and friendships blossom. Rose soon feels at home with village life as she settles in nicely in a flat above a quirky gift shop and also learns to sail.

The story also deals with topics such as sailing, archaeology and stem cell treatment. This appears to have been researched really well so I was impressed with the author’s knowledge.

If you haven’t read anything by Phillipa before then I would highly recommend her books. I can’t wait for more in the Cornish series.

This is an inspirational book which shows how important it is to live life to the full and make the most of any opportunities. Rose Vernon’s life was saved by a bone marrow donor and she has the possible chance to thank them when she goes to work as an archaeologist in Cornwall. She’s followed all the clues she can find and it seems the donor lives in the seaside village of Falford, not far from the dig she’ll be working on. She suspects he is one of the Morvah brothers, but is uncertain which one . . . . An unexpected encounter enables Rose to actually stay in the village where she makes new friends and becomes involved in the local community and events. Will she identify her donor? What other surprises will this summer bring?

What a delightful read this proved to be. It is a moving story, dealing beautifully with some sensitive issues. The amount of research the author must have done on so many different aspects is impressive and shows through so many of the engaging but informative scenarios in the story. It is a lovely story to escape into, one which is centred on a delightful, coastal community where the author’s love of all things Cornish shines through. There are so many great characters, including one to dislike and others who win you over. There’s historic finds, sailing, boatbuilding, tasty treats, a regatta and so much more in this story that leaves you with a huge smile on your face and happy memories of all that happens in it. I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending it and look forward to reading more by this skilled author in future.

An Endless Cornish Summer is a lovely chilled out read. It would be perfect for a beach holiday (if we were allowed to go on one!) The premise is a unique one, with the main character Rose trying to find her hero stem cell donor. She's comes across the fabulous Morvah brothers, could one of them be her saviour?

Phillipa has done it again with this fantastic novel, her writing gets better with every book she writes. Make sure you get a copy of this and enjoy every word that it contains, you won't want to put it down but will be sad when it ends as you just want to read more. 5 stars and I recommend this.

With a unique plot, interesting characters and just the right amount of drama, emotion and romance. Rose is a delightful protagonist with a deep, thoughtful, kind personality.
This is a charming love story set in Cornwall.
The descriptions of the sea, the estuary, and the regatta are portrayed superbly. It was lovely to get to know the locals and be immersed in the passion, gossip, and goings-on within the small village of Falford.
I really enjoyed this story and am happy to recommend it—one to add to your reading list.
