Secrets of the Gros Ventre by John Hansen is a slowly meandering story of a young deputy sheriff and the cases he has to solve, with good guys and bad guys and a love interest all making this a very enjoyable tale.

I received this from Netgalley.com.

"The year is 1943. The place is the Gros Ventre river valley of central Montana."

Good story! It reads like 'a day in the life of ...' It's not an overly complicated story and I was very interested how Andy would deal with each problem as it cropped up. The author has excellent story-telling methods and I want to read more of his books. A truly enjoyable read.
