Stronger Everyday by Janell Rardon takes explains the author’s Hearlift Method as a way to deal with emotional traumas. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed in this book. I didn’t feel like I got much of anything out of it and felt like she was constantly pushing you to go to an external resource.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion.

In Stronger Every Day, Janell Rardon shares her tools that help the reader to repair the broken parts of their lives. In the book, Janell Rardon's passion for working with brokenness is apparent and she shares good insight and ideas for how to work with all that brokenness. There were good parts to this book, like speaking of God and prayers provided in the chapters. However, this book wasn't for me. I just did not relate with the writing style and the terms used in this book.

I enjoyed the tone and vibe of this book through the author's voice. She speaks as both a therapist and friend, with words that are full of hope, encouragement, and assurance. She believes in you and knows you can do it. Something unusual that I haven't encountered in other nonfiction books is the prayer guidance she provides. It feels like she is praying with and for the reader, offering specific phrases and thoughts to bring your prayers to a deeper level. The tools in the book are pertinent and will develop a strong foundation for healing and building. The metaphors for life that the author expounds upon are easy to relate to, for me especially the ones centered around home renovation and gardens. This book is a wonderful resource for anyone, but especially those looking to heal, grow, improve, or make changes.

This book is so timely ! A source of inspiration and practice tips for any woman Desiring healing. I love that this book has biblical/spiritual techniques and psychological tip, because we need both.
.
This book is very empowering and encouraging . After each chapter You are left feeling motivated and strengthen to not only face your struggles head on but to face the enemy and his tactics. I love the biblical stories that are intertwined throughout , the author gives you a fresh look at these moments and how the same work Jesus did back then he is still doing it today.
.
This is the refreshing that I need, to take me back to that place where I first met Jesus, to actively pursue a relationship with him. Just as the woman at the well, I want that life giving water , that no one but Jesus can give.
.
Thank to the publisher for the free copy of this boom. All opinions are my own.

This book was definitely different than I expected it to be. It was a thought out guideline to healing and spiritual growth that my spirit has been craving and needing. The author's insight and experience helped put perspective to things we probably all experience in some way or another while walking you through how to change our thinking and adding inspirational heartfelt prayers to draw us closer to God and healing.

Stronger Every Day is a great source of inspiring and practical tools for the Christian woman in search of healing and restoration. I thoroughly enjoyed the unique blend of scriptural insights and psychological techniques to help identify our emotional shortcomings and work to improve our emotional health. This book leaves you feeling empowered and capable of implementing the author's suggestions into your own story.
I especially enjoyed following the narrative of the Samaritan woman and her life-changing experience with Jesus. I gained new insight on how this Sunday school favorite can apply to my life and the burdens I carry. Although I was saved several years ago, I found myself craving that living, transforming water again.
I feel this is a book you will come back to many times. Don't forget to highlight the parts that speak to you the most--I know I have quite a few!
Be prepared to be honest with yourself and to commit to changing your thought processes. A healthier emotional state is in your future!
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectation of a positive review. All opinions are my own.

From the cover to the final page, Stronger Every Day shares the message that we can heal even though we are broken in mind, body, and spirit. Life coach, speaker, podcaster, and author Janell Rardon provides nine tools in the framework of Envision, Educate, and Establish to help Christians heal from emotional trauma. After the past 12 months, I think most of us could benefit from some emotional restoration.

In her writing, the author is incredibly vulnerable, sharing deeply personal experiences that are effective in illustrating her messages. This book is well researched with extensive footnotes available for further reading. I appreciated that several sources I respect were cited including Brene Brown, Ian Morgan Cron, Bessel van der Kolk, Richard Rohr, the Enneagram, and most importantly, the Bible.

Reading a non-fiction book of this type via ebook makes it difficult to make notes and fully appreciate charts and diagrams, so I recommend reading a paper copy. While I appreciated the concepts, I found it challenging to resonate with some of the terminology used consistently throughout the text.

Janell Rardon's passion for helping people and families live richer, fuller lives is genuine on every page. Readers who seek healing from emotional trauma will be well served by the practical principles and exercises in Stronger Every Day.

Bringing together her professional experience and personal stories, woven together with quotes and resources (chief among them, the Bible), author Janell Rardon shares nine tools - and the various practices around them - that have proven helpful in building emotional strength for her and her clients. With an overarching concept of what she terms a “heartlift,” Rardon lays out the basis for these tools, with an emphasis on faith and taking both the soul and practicalities into consideration.

While the ideas around these tools for emotional strength are interesting – and could such a book be more timely? – they sometimes felt overwhelmed by stories and other sources being quoted. This is a book to sit with, to examine and work out how to personally apply these tools for emotional strength. Recommended with the suggestion to seek out a sample to read and determine if the writing and the approach suit you and your situation.
