Having made mistakes earlier in life, Cam is trying to move on and live a better life. She starts dating an awesome man, Orion, and life is looking good. Then she finds out her ex is Orion’s cousin. The ex caused vast amounts of pain and anguish and seems intent on picking up where they left off. Problem is that Orion wants to see the good in him and Cam is not happy with his decisions.
Opinion
I thought this book was mild for an MC book, which is not a bad thing, just different. There was a lot of back and forth between Orion and Cam. There was also drama with their families. I think overall, the minor problems were more exemplary of regular life than normal.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by author)...
This is Cam’s story; if you read Custom Built, you know Cam suffered the death of her girlfriend, Billy, who was Bronte’s friend.
I absolutely loved this book and I enjoyed it so much more more than Custom Built. Cam is totally hardcore, she changed her whole life around for the better and just kept thriving. It has been 3 years since Billy’s death and Cam is still recovering from the loss, but she is ready to move forward.
The night that Cam meets Ben, I mean Orion, was totally hot and the connection was instant. I loved that Orion was trying to find Cam after their night together and the man never gave up. Did he make a no-no? Big time! Was it hilarious that Cam left him her number with a digit missing? Yes it was! Orion is known to be a player and Cam wasn’t down for that, so Orion really had to put in the work.
I just loved them as a couple and how they had complete honesty right from the beginning. Of course, it wasn’t all great because Cam’s past returns in the form of her abusive ex-boyfriend, Bjorn. Also, Orion and his family are dealt a devastating betrayal that breaks up his family. I’m not saying was what it was but his father was butt barnacle and I wished some kicked him in his soft place.
I loved Orion’s family, his mother and sisters were just awesome and loved Cam from the start. But my favorite, is how the MC cared and loved Cam like she was their little sister.
My favorite part about this book is how Cam always fought for herself; there are times in the book where I felt Orion was slacking on his responsibilities towards her and she let him know she didn’t like it. I like that although she truly loved him, she wasn’t going to compromise her life or sanity to help Orion keep his illusion alive.
Again we suffer another tragic loss (which seems to happen a lot now) and I felt for our girl, Cam, but she pulled through again like a bada**.
I didn’t want this book to end! I wonder if Chains and Victoria are next ;)
Orien & Cam
This one is Custom Written to make you love the story and not put it down.
She loved her job. Her family--not by blood--by caring. The people she works for and with and the MC who has accepted her and made her a part of their family. For the past, she has worked hard to overcome, she isn't close to her mother. A talented artist she is a big part of their repair and custom design motorcycle and auto shop. It's been a long time since she's gone out and even longer since she let a man play any part of that life.
On a night out with the girls enter Orien. It turns into a long exciting night. And a surprising morning later. Oh yeah, the big customer they were expecting is very familiar! Now what? There's more you will learn along with Cam.
I love that Cam is upfront and open not hiding once a relationship looks possible. Truth. Trust. Family. All good and important until her darker past becomes a part of the present. For him, family is all-important. Cam is not like the other women he's known. She's special and he wants her.
Their journey is fun, touching, spicy hot, and painful. I was unable to put it down after page one until those sad words THE END. I love the books and series and am ready for more. I love the MC guys and gals as well as the families. Great characters. Wonderful stories by an author I always know will be giving the reader a great story.

So much complexity rolled into one amazing book! With the second book in her Fast & Fury series Chantal Fernando brings us Cam’s story in CUSTOM MADE, and it was so much more than I expected. She’s living the dream, but her past comes back to haunt her when the man of her dreams ends up connected to a demon from her past. The storyline was addictive and fast paced and left me super excited for the series to continue!
Cameron is a doll. She’s tough and self-assured, but has that soft inner heart that can’t forgive herself for the past. Watching her fall hard for a man was so much fun.
Orion is high-powered and tough, but when it comes to Cam he’s a total teddy bear right from the start. I adored him, even if he did let me down a few times throughout the book.
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a close knit group of friends and coworkers who will give their heart and soul to help one of their own if need be. Watching them pair off into their forever love match is really satisfying.
Cam's book <3
This can be read as a standalone but we met Cam in the first book of the series.
This is her love story with Orion, a rich guy whom she has a one night stand with and who wants more. Turns out he has some connection with her past that makes their relationship shaky.
Except the villain there is really nothing un-likeable about this book. Orion is great, though indeed he doesn't understand the magnitude of the situation. The whole crew is just awesome, they are such a tight knit family who care and support each other, it's great to read about them again. And Cam is just the kind of heroine that even you can't relate much to - you can totally appreciate. I loved how empathetic and mature she communicated her situation, trying to fight for her love but always careful when the line between her not being valued would be crossed. To me this was the highlight of this book: Cam's strong confidence and willingness not to fall back to the same errors of not being safe and valued.
There is drama in this book, some heated scenes, at times it feels fast paced, at the right times it feels slow, all in all it's a nice read. Can't wait to read more from these series!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Custom Made is the second book in the Fast & Fury series by Chantal Fernando. A steamy romance that is full of drama and heated chemistry. The characters are well-written with intriguing backstories that make the story an intriguing read. The author writes with so much intensity, and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Once I started reading, I could not put this one down. If you have always wanted to read an MC romance but haven't picked one up, this is the series for you!
Custom Made is book two in the series. Cam and Orion meet when they have a one night stand-until she sees him again and finds out he's her new vip customer at the bike shop! It was a good read. I wish it was a little more steamy and they had more chemistry but I did love them together!
4 Stars for this hot romance!
I loved how Cam wasn't a girly girl and followed her dreams of pimping out motorcycles which is normally a male dominated line of work. And Orion ... what a hunk who's rich and has a heart of gold ... the trifecta for a boyfriend! The chemistry between Cam and Orion is off the charts. Then there's Cam's ex-boyfriend ... what a tool! I just wanted to give him a swift kick. A great addition to the series.
After Cam gets out of prison (for something her ex-boyfriend made her do), she moves to the city to start a new life. Fast & Furious hires her to work on motorcycles and eventually she designs the bikes. When she has a one-night stand, she never expects him to be the new VIP client of the shop. Orion didn't think he'd see the beautiful Cam again, but is extremely happy when he sees her at Fast & Furious and he's not going to let her get away this time.
I received an early copy courtesy of Harlequin - Carina Press through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
I believe I have read everything Chantal has written and while I really enjoyed reading this story, I think it is drifting towards too nice. Even though the Fast & Fury is a shop owned by the MC, the MC really plays a very minimal part in the story. What I did really like was the communication (of course after their first encounter) and I thought, YES, a couple that knows how to communicate until the end when I said “what went wrong”. These are super nice people. I want grittier from Chantal which I know she can deliver on. If you want a read that is very quick and enjoyable, kind of low on angst, then this story is for you.
Such a fun story! I loved Cameron. She made a mistake, suffered the consequences, and turned her life around. The way she goes after what she wants is fabulous and seeing her with her friends is a delight. The MC that she's connected to gives strong found family vibes.
Orion is a little tougher to connect with. He's hot as hell and their chemistry leaps off the page, but it took me a little to like him. Once he redeems himself, it's fun to watch as Cam and him fall for each other. When Cam's past comes back to haunt them I was a little disappointed with Orion's actions, but he learns from his mistake.
Overall a sexy, fun read that pulls you easily into the story and keeps you reading until you are done!
I'll now go back and read CUSTOM BUILT;).
Custom Made is a great addition to the Fast & Fury series.
I have been all about this MC and now the spin off series. While this wasn't my favorite I'm happy for Cam in getting her HEA.
When a one night stand shows up at the shop Cam can't get away from Orion. The sparks fly between these two right away but past experiences have her putting on the brakes. The story that unfolds from there kept me turning the pages! Family means everything to these two and you'll want to read to see how it all plays out for them!
Sexy, feminine and rocking, Cameron Davies overcomes the mistakes of her youth. Cameron aka Cam is now the creative designer for the bike shop owned by bikers, Fast & Fury. She's been burned before by bad choices with "bad boys". Even if these biker guys are nice to her and she's grown to adore them, she doesn't want to get mixed up with them for good reason. When a VIP customer strolls on in, she isn't ready for his level of complication.
I have been reading Ms. Fernando on and off. Her books focus on the biker culture and the women who fall for these guys. This specific one is less about the biker lifestyle and maybe why I like it the best. I liked Cam. She is a healthy blend of feminine in a masculine job. She is a mechanic who blends what she loves into her job. The way she's described in her designs and custom paint jobs, I'm in love with her work. She is also a tall leggy blonde with big boobs and tattoos. She sounds like biker Barbie and I want to play with her. I'm not even into blondes! The fact that Cam is also bisexual makes her even more attractive.
What I enjoyed about this story is the character development. I liked how Cam's past interferes with her current relationship. There are no perfect people in this story. The flaws make them more interesting and human. Cam's attitude of moving forward is also admirable. Her obvious embarrassment of her past mistakes do not overshadow who she is now. She's stronger and better for it. The different conflicts and heartbreaks in this story make it more realistic. I liked how her love interest Orion makes mistakes and owns them. His ability to be forgiving yet holding grudges seems contradictory. For me it isn't because one of the betrayals is so close to his heart that it makes sense he can't see reason and is coldly unforgiving of a family member. All these little relationship nuances makes for a multi-layered romance I thoroughly enjoyed. I am liking this new series from the talented Ms. Fernando and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
This erotic romance is recommended for readers who love bad boys and the fast girls who keep up with them.
One thing that is great about this group is the loyalty and how protective the men are. It's simply a family. Which comes in handy for Cam's peace of mind. She sees a new beginning as an option when she meets Orion and starts experiencing amazing chemistry for the first time. Not to mention, this is finally a good guy for someone with bad luck choosing men. And OMG Orion is so committed! Pays attention to every detail and is willing to put in the work to have a worthy relationship with great communication. But trouble from her past gets closer to home than she would like and we can feel the tension waiting for the other shoe to drop through every page. And that makes this love story entertaining and worth the fight for Cam and Orion.
Custom Made is book two in the Fast and Fury series and is Cam and Orion's story. This book was so good. After the events if the previous book, my heart hurt so much for Cam and she certainly deserved her HEA. We also get a more in-depth look into who Cam is and it makes me love her more. I can't wait to read more from this series.
Cam and Orion were sexy, thrilling and engaging. I loved this second installment in the Fast & Fury series and was so obsessed with their connection. This was a fantastic read and another favorite from Chantal Fernando! 4 stars! ~Ratula
I liked Custom Built but I LOVE Custom Made! Cameron and Orion, I just thought we such a great match, and their chemistry just exploded right off the pages. Made was an improvement for me from the storyline in Built. Maybe it was that I sort of knew the characters and could connect with them better this time around? I am not sure but whatever it was it worked so well for me.
I thought it was particularly endearing that Orion was so close with his family and they would just show up unannounced and barge right in on Orion and Cam. I did get the giggles a few times when this happened. Also, the Knights were present and interwoven into the dynamic of Cameron and their need to look out for her, she was one of their own. I enjoyed that Orion didn't hide the fact that he had "questionable" business practices. That was refreshing, two characters being honest with one another.
The plot twist, I did not see that coming... one could even say "the double plot twist." It was written really smart where it wasn't this overbearing subject that was not on every page. It was a crazy and twisted change in direction of the story, but it worked so well.
What I enjoyed most was the fact that the author did not diminish the importance of Cameron's job and how she was a BOSS! Her work in a male-dominated field was never treated like she "slept her way up" or that she was there just because "she is pretty." Her skill was always on display in the words written and I beautifully crafted so that we understood that Cameron was definitely one of the team.
It should also be noted her success never came between them and caused problems, it was actually celebrated. That would have been such a disservice to these characters if that would have happened.
I seriously enjoyed Custom Made and can not wait for the next one!!!
Heat Factor: It’s not not sexy
Character Chemistry: I confess I’m not sold
Plot: Lots of expectation re honesty and owed information
Overall: I just...what even...I don’t know
Book 1 in this series, Custom Built totally did not work for me, so I really waffled about picking up this book… But also I have really been wanting to read about bad boys this month and maybe this book would be better than the last? So I grabbed it.
It was better... But also I was extremely conflicted about pretty much every single thing that was going on. And also confused as to what the deal was with Nadia-the-PI. And I don’t understand what Fernando has against contractions in dialogue.
Cam went to prison for helping her then boyfriend steal cars. She moved to the city to start over and began working as a mechanic and creative designer at the Fast & Fury custom bike shop. She is all about not messing up her life again and also about being herself.
Orion is an uber wealthy business owner who is mostly uber wealthy because he launders money. He is a Nice Guy™ - you know, the guy who is nice and charming and says all the right things but also doesn’t take no for an answer when you’ve said you’re not interested.
Her primary reason for refusing to date Orion after their one-night stand is because he didn’t call her after and he gave her a different name. ...But she gave him the wrong number and also went into the one-night stand with the same motivation as he did so she acknowledges his reasoning...but still says no. Which is fine, even important if she felt uncomfortable...but this is where they started with the mismatch of expectations vs. reality vs. communication, and it really didn’t get any better as things progressed.
Of course Cam and Orion work out their issues and start dating, so the real issue becomes the relationship that they both have with Cam’s ex. Orion is related to him and feels that family is really important and he needs to be there for his cousin during a rough patch, while Cam thinks the ex is a violent sociopath and doesn’t feel safe.
Cam’s ex was abusive, and she is dealing with feelings of shame about being a victim of abuse. So after the ex re-enters her life because of Orion, she struggles. She told him that her ex was a bad dude, but she doesn’t tell Orion that he was abusive to her, so he never really takes her fear as seriously as she needs him to. He acknowledges her concerns and tells her that he’ll make sure the ex stays away from her, but he doesn’t immediately end the relationship with his relative or take...other action. Meanwhile she does tell her friend and former boss from the Motorcycle Club (MC) that the ex abused her, so the MC goes into hyper protective mode and is basically out for this ex dude’s blood.
And then Cam gets angry that the MC is taking the threat to her more seriously than her boyfriend.
So I was really conflicted because people should believe victims of abuse...But Cam never actually told Orion what the real problem was, so he was not fully aware of how deep her concerns were. And he’s dealing with his own feelings that the MC does not have. They don’t feel responsible for a man who’s been rejected by his entire family but needs help after being released from prison. I felt like Orion’s hesitation to immediately and unequivocally end things there was understandable given his characterization as a caregiver, especially in view of the fact that he didn’t really have the full story about why Cam wanted this dude gone.
On the other hand, I wasn’t totally sure that Cam should have to tell Orion the whole story. I did in some ways understand Cam’s feelings that Orion wasn’t believing her and prioritizing her and their relationship because his actions made her feel like that was the case.
Mostly though, I was confused about the MC vs. Orion angle. Fast & Fury is owned by the MC but Cam’s not really a part of the MC life. And yet they’ve adopted her, so she is? But she has boundaries because she doesn’t want to do stuff that will send her back to prison...but she is KNOWINGLY friends with AND DATING all the criminals. Then she gets really mad at Orion for not permanently ending the ex problem. He does meet with the guy and offers him something in return for the guy getting out of dodge...but that’s a really big problem for her? Because Orion still talked to the guy? So...she didn’t want to go back to prison but she does want someone to kill this dude? And also not go to prison?
Other readers may very well feel like all of this is consistent and understandable, but I, um, did not. Especially because I had in the back of my mind that while one expects misogynistic toxic masculinity and paternalistic behavior in an MC book, in pretty much any other context, Orion’s behavior is probably really...normal. Like, normal non-criminal guys don’t automatically jump to “I’m going to put surveillance on your house, have men on hand to be menacing to threats, and murder that bad guy” right? So if Cam’s life is not that MC life and she’s trying not to be a criminal anymore...what is her deal?
And because the primary reason for the black moment was Cam feeling like Orion wasn’t prioritizing her, I also didn’t understand or buy into the resolution. But I won't get into more of that here because spoilers.
Such a bizarre blend of maturity and immaturity and I-don’t-even-know-what’s-happening-right-now. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way about a book before.

Custom Made is a wonderful read. You will love the twist and turns when it comes to Cam and Orion. Cam is fabulous. I love how she does not hold back and knows what she wants. You get why she is a little guarded when it comes to her past. Orion will sweep you off your feet just a little. He is just so sweet with Cam. I love how she makes Orion work for a chance with her. I was glued to the pages from the very beginning and couldn't put this one down. I really enjoyed this one and fell in love with Cam and Orion from the very start. You need to experience this one and enjoy the little added twists thrown in.
Ok
I liked Cam and Orion and the journey they took to their HEA. The story felt long and some parts mundane. It was great to see characters from the first book and how they are doing.
I voluntarily read an advanced copy.
After reading (and enjoying) custom Built, I was very happy to be granted an arc of the second part of the Fast & Fury series of Chantal. Because I was very curious to see how the rest of the garage crew would be doing after the brutal murder of Cam's girlfriend. And yay! The crew is doing pretty well. The are able to get a very big order from a vip customer. And Cam will be the head designer for all three bikes. To celebrate, the crew heads out to a club, where Cam hooks up with a very hot and sexy guy. The very next day, however, she is in for a big surprise... her hot one-nightstand is no other then her vip client.
Orion usually doesn't tell girls his real name, because then they mostly follow him for his money. When Cam totally shuts him out, because of his lie, he regrets not being honest with her. But since she will be designing his bikes, they will still be seeing each other. So Orion is determined to win cam over. Having been in an abusive relationship, Cam doesn't want anything to do with guys who lie. But Orion is relentless and she can feel the mutual attraction. Will she give in to temptation? When Cam's past is catching up with her, can she trust orion to save her? Find out for yourself in this wonderful read. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
