Cam meets Orion in a club. And although he is not exactly honest with her, their mutual attraction is out of the charts.
But soon all gets complicated when Cam's past knocks on her door.
This book is OK. I really like it in the beginning. But I was disappointed by some characters' reactions. And there is too much family drama for me.
ARC received in exchange for a honest review via Netgalley
I just love Chantal Fernando' s work. When I saw Cam's book was available I jumped on this..
Cam (Cameron) is fresh out of prison and is heading home.. but when she gets there.. she is no longer wanted by some.. (my heart broke for her here..) so after leaving she lands her self her dream job of building and designing custom motorcycles..
Orion is a local businessman.. and a major powerhouse in the community.. and when he sets his eyes on Cam he is done for..
Cam and Orion meet at a club.. he gives her a fake name and she leaves with him.. when she sneaks out the next morning she leaves her #... but when he never calls.. she is pissed... but when the new client she is designing a few bikes for shows up...everything changes..
Amazing job Chantal - I hope we get more from these boys..
This was my first time reading this author. Its supposedly a standalone and is #2 in the series. I did not love it at all. Its definitely the kinda stpry I don't enjoy reading, though it dd go by fast.
It stars Cam who is a bisexual and who is just getting over the death of her last girlfriend Billie. She is a tall, tatooed, ex con who is hot and blond and who designs motorcycles.
She meets a rich guy named Orion Benjamin one night and the have unsafe sex at a hotel then she meets him as her new client and he wants to date her and so he convinces her to give him a shot. He is a money launderer and has some very unsavory characters he is building bikes for.
This is not the kind of books I like. I like fun and flirty and light reading but this book was intense but not in a way I like. The first thing I was not a fan off was the bisexual thing and then the money launderer and then their is Orion's cousin Bjorn. Who is extremely violent shall we say.
I hate the plot and the characters in this story. I will say that the story was well written and it moved very fast, Its just not the kinda story I enjoy.
This is the second book in the Fast and Fury series I have read. The series is what read who like M/C world of books. Romance, sex, beautiful people, hard lives and broken hearts. The author basic story works for the world she created but you have to suspend reality many many many times. Police do not exist in this world the author created.
That being said the characters work for the story. The one thing the author got right was that she made Cam and Orion communicate with each other until they stopped and it didn't quite make since to this reader.
The character development and history is well done however as a whole the story is very choppy and also feels it was written at different times and rearranged where the author thought they would fit with out proper connecting them. The story gets choppy at times.
In all if readers love MC series they will enjoy this author as they suspend their belief in reality.
Thank you to Netgalley and Carina Press for a advance copy of Chantal Ferando Custom Made.
3 1\2 stars
I love getting lost in Chantal Fernando’s romance novels and let me say Custom Made did not disappoint! This is the second novel in the Fast & Fury series, but can be read as a standalone—although once you finish it you will want to 1-click the first installment (Custom Built)! This novel combines romance and mystery/suspense to create a fast paced storyline. Chantal Fernando always writes such bad@ss leading women that you can’t help but to find yourself cheering for—love that! I enjoyed reading Cam and Orion crazy journey and I look forward to reading more from this series in the next installment!
After having fallen in love with the first book and the other connecting series to this series, I knew I couldn't wait for more from this MC and this setting of the shop. And you know I didn't even read the blurb once I received this copy from NetGalley and this author is one of those that I don't need to, I just know I will enjoy the ride that she will take me on.
In Custom Made, our heroine is a bi sexual character, Cameron Davis. Cam is an artist and after spending a short time in prison due to ill spent mistakes of her youth, she starts over in a new town and working in a motorcycle custom shop and using her artistic talent to create beautiful works of art in motorcycles. When she goes out clubbing with a group of girl friends, she meets a man that works all her engines in all the best ways, and thinking she would never see him again, even though she wants to she is shocked to learn that he is THE Orion Stenton. A man with wealth, power in all the corners of the city. And that man is the one she spent her one night stand with, but also the man that hurt her. Orion knows he made a mistake with Cam in hurting her but is determined to prove to her his feelings for her are genuine in every way.
I adored Custom Made in many respects but I will say that this isn't my favorite read from this author. I was slightly disappointed in this one here. I just didn't feel the chemistry between these two for much of the book and considering the elements that come into play here, I was really excited to see it and the romance just fell a bit flat for me. But that isn't to say that I didn't enjoy this one here at all because I can tell you I greatly enjoy this edition of this series and curious to see where this author plans on taking this series. But it was still an easy quick read that I got swept up in. I adore both characters individually, I just didn't connect to the "spark" I normally have come to expect from this author.
4.5 stars for me
I’ve wanted Cam’s story since I met her character. I knew there was more than met the eye. I really enjoyed the backstory in this one and the hero was definitely more than a little delicious. Plenty of action to go along with the heat and I loved catching up with the MC brothers too.
3.5 stars. Overall an enjoyable easy read, I liked the main characters and the interaction with characters from another series. At times the drama felt a little forced. But overall it was a decent read.

Can they find forever?
I'm honored to have been introduced to this amazing authors books. The one thing about this book I enjoyed was it keeps you wondering what’s next. She is a little bit sassy and his a rough and tumble nice guy. She has the Knights MC always on her side and psycho ex that won’t let go. Orion is a great guy even if too often he tries to see the best in everyone even when they keep showing you the flaws they bleed. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.
If I had any complaints about this book or even the series it’s that it’s only written in our heroines POV. This was in my opinion a huge missed opportunity. Wile the book is great I as a reader love getting both sides of the love story.
Authors Blurb: Cameron Davies has the job she’s always wanted—designing custom motorcycles at Fast & Fury. No way is she going to screw this up. But when her wild, sexy one-night stand ends up being the shop’s new VIP client, her life is suddenly turned on its head.
Orion Stenton radiates power, danger and, most of all, sex. His lavish lifestyle is fraught with dangers for Cam—and a far too intimate link to her past. She has to keep things professional, but it’s impossible to forget the feel of him or the way he whispers her name.
The connection between them demands far more than a quick fling. But when Cam’s past puts Orion in danger, she must face her demons if she’s going to save them both.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕
Orion and Cam in Custom Made by Chantal Fernando
Custom Made is not your tired and worn tale of love in a motor cycle club/custom bike shop. Cam and Orion hookup at a bar one night and proceed to fall in love- while Cam’s ex starts stalking her again. And as fate would have it her ex is Orion’s brother! Cam and Orion are well written and sympathetic. They feel like real people inhabiting their characters. The tension that tears them apart seems a bit anticlimactic but is still believable. And when they come back together it is action packed. I would give this a 3.5 or 4.0.
An Absolutely Amazing Suspense Romance .
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Netgalley of Custom Made . I really enjoyed reading this story .
Cameron Davies (Cam to her friends ) works
at Fast & Fury designing custom motorcycles .
While out with her friends she cuts loose and had a one night stand with a sexy guy . She did not dream he would show up as the shops new VIP client Orion Stenton . She is Furious that he gave her a fake name . She turns him down when he asks her out . Orion is very persistent and she finally accepts . As their relationship grows and they share things about each other .
Their relationship hits quit a few obstacles . Secrets come out and danger comes for them it will take help from the knights of Fury MC and Orion to protect Cam . So Cam and Orion can have a happy ending . This is a well written story . I love the characters. I highly recommend reading .
I enjoyed this story of Cam, a talented custom motorcycle artist, and Orion, a wealthy client and friend of her boss. Cam has had troubles in the past, including a stent in prison, but she's working hard to turn her life around. She has instant red hot chemistry with Orion even before she knows who he really is. When problems from her past endanger her she hopes she can count on him. She has his back no matter what but can she count on him to put her first? Enjoyable romance.
Loving the continuation of this series and getting to know these characters! After everything that went on in the last book, I was excited to see who was next and was so excited to find out it was Cameron! After going through a rough patch that landed her in jail, Cam gets released with a new outlook on like and is determined to follow her dreams and stay out of trouble. Following her dreams and passion, she lands her dream job at Fast & Fury, although she is lonely while staying on the straight and narrow. The night before meeting a high-profile client, Cam lets loose and ends up having a one-night stand with a sexy stranger. Little does she know that he turns out to be her high-profile client, Orion! While Cam tries to deny her feelings, Orion wears her down and eventually they explore the feelings they had that first night together, but things start to get troubled between them when Cam finds out that her past has followed her into the relationship. This was such a crazy ride for Cam and Orion – as soon as I thought they were getting past things and the drama was over for them, Cam’s past just continued to keep coming back! In addition, I was shocked at the bombs that were dropped in Orion’s world with his parents and family! Overall, this was a great read that kept me on the edge of my seat in suspense and can’t wait for the next installment in this series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Custom Made by Michelle Fernando is the second book in the series. I really enjoyed reading this book. The chemistry is off the charts, and I enjoyed reading more about the cast. It's always fun to "hang out" with them.
Something I truly appreciate in this book is how fierce Cam is. She doesn't hesitate to stand up for herself and to speak her mind. Cam went through a lot but won't let herself be defined by her past mistakes. She is honest about it and isn't afraid to disclose it when it matters.
The refreshing part of this book is how open they were with each other from the get-go. I liked that even when things soured, they communicate. Both characters are grounded, and their love showed in that way.
Uuuh yeah nope... The writing was very juvenile, as if a 14 year old was trying to write a smutty romance and failed spectacularly because she has no idea what she's talking about... There's no chemistry between the couple. The other characters are all introduced at the same time which makes it into a giant annoying info dump.
It wasn't clear to me when I requested this on Netgalley that it was the second book in the series, and this clearly can't be read as a standalone because I'm missing vital info. The character intros would have probably felt like less of an infodump if I had read the first book, but that fault is on me not the author. Although I do think the author could've handled the giving info to the reader much better regardless of having read the first book or not.
I quite enjoyed reading this. We have a strong female lead, who has turned her life around and now knows what she wants and won't accept less. This is set in a motorcycle shop and there is cross over with the characters from the Knights of Fury MC. I have not read book one in this series or any of the Knights of Fury series and it didn't impact on my reading experienced at all! Having said that I am now going to go back and read them as I loved all the characters.
If you have always wanted to read an MC romance but haven't picked one up, this is the series for you as it will ease you it slowly.
MC Club books can sometimes challenge your moral compass when you are reading them. One of the good things about them - is they force you to see the grey. People aren't all good or all bad - and these people are profoundly centered on their chosen family. This book is definitely MC adjacent - it includes some of the Knights of Fury crew we've come to know and enjoy - but focuses in on Cam (who works for the MC Club's motorcycle shop) and Orion (a local businessman with some legitimate and not-so-legit businesses).
Cam is an artist - and a bit of a diva - but she cares deeply for her chosen family and is determined that nothing will take her down any path that would lead her back to jail. She served time for stealing a car. After high school she met a guy who was a prince at first and turned into an abusive sociopath. As part of her relationship with him she did some very illegal things and paid the price. Moving to Las Vegas and starting work for the MC put her on a solid path. But Cam is very independent and very prickly. She doesn't trust easily. She and Orion meet and have a one-night stand (well it was supposed to be one - but neither of them really wanted it to be). Orion is very wealthy and has a big family that he cares for deeply and is very close with. He pursues Cam even after their initial start isn't so great. Cam eventually gives in to the connection she feels and they start a relationship. Going from 0 to love in a very brief time.
That is where the story takes some unexpected turns - like all of Chantal Fernando's books do. It moves into surprisingly emotional territory related to family connections - and whether blood really is thicker than water. Everything in the book is from Cam's perspective - so it is sometimes hard to get a true read on Orion. BUt I did love them together and could see how they are a true match for each other. I enjoyed the appearances and advice from other folks in the series - and can't wait to see where things go. It seems like Orion's sisters (all of whom are single) might be good matches for some of those single MC boys. Only time and Chantal Fernando can tell!
If you like MC books - I'd recommend this one as being top shelf! Also - you totally don't need to read any other books in the series to understand or enjoy this one.
I received this as an ARC from NetGalley. But these opinions are all my own.
Cameron is a feisty woman recovering from the loss of a close friend. Due to some bad life choices at an early age her family situation has changed and her coworkers and MC friends become her new family. When they warn her about a new client who’s motorcycle she’ll be designing little do they realize that Cam has met him before (wink). Orion is a powerful, successful and sexy man that knows what he wants and that’s Cam, but everyone knows not to mix business and pleasure, right? Cam and Orion have an undeniable chemistry that will have you reaching for a fan, but Cam’s past mistakes may ruin their relationship before it can even start. This book is lots of fun with plenty of steamy scenes balanced by beautiful family moments, both family by birth and by choice. This book is part of the Fast and Fury Custom Garage series and loosely connected with the Knights of Fury MC series, so those of you who have read the author’s other books, which I do recommend, will see a lot of familiar faces, but you don’t have to read the other books to enjoy this one. This is a nice quick read with a hint of MC style and a family twist that will shock you. 5 stars must read. I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review.
I just loved Cam and admire her for everything she went through to be where she is at her life right now. When she meets Orion they hit off right away and have a one night stand. I really enjoyed this story, but there were some parts I could have done without. I really am enjoying this series and look forward to the next one.
Custom made is the second book in the Fast and Fury series. It focuses on a custom motorbike garage. In this book, we have Cam, the female bike designer. She's also a mechanic, but these days spends most of her time working on the look of the bikes as she's a good artist. She hasn't been very lucky in love, having been burnt by her abusive ex-boyfriend. More recently, she's had a relationship with a woman, who died and since then she's really been existing rather than living.
On a night out, she hooks up with a man called Ben and has an amazing time. Only to find out a few days later that he's actually called Orion and is coming to her place of work to buy three custom-designed bikes.
There's quite a bit for Cam and Orion to work through before they can fully be together. With ghosts from both of their pasts coming to throw spanners in the works as far as their happiness is concerned.
I liked Cam and Orion, both as themselves and as part of a couple and I enjoyed reading their story.
This was another good instalment in the Fast and Fury series. I wonder if there's more to come yet?
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
