Inheriting a sex shop sounds fun and sexy but trying not to get it close down is the harder part. And when your new co-owner is your total opposite, is becomes even harder. But the characters are surrounded by sex toys, so you know things are going to get spicy. It was a bit more angsty than I like, and there were a few issues I had with how some things were dealt with, but overall this was a light and funny story and I really enjoyed reading it.

I laughed far too many times to count. This romcom truly delivers on both the romance and the comedic sides of things.

If a Hallmark romcom was about a sex-toy store and infused with some extra lighthearted raunch, that's what you'll find inside these pages. A breezy, entertaining romp.

This was a very cute story with characters that were well developed and complex but also very likeable - you were cheering on everyone in this book to find their happiness! Definitely a good recommendation especially for Pride lists.

This packs way more emotional punch than I expected and I’m happy to say there’s also more steam than I was expecting! THANK YOU OPEN DOOR!!!

The abusive relationships portrayed and lingering trauma was handled sensitively and honestly which I greatly appreciated, even if the ending left me wanting a bit. Overall an endearing and grounded romance that any romance readers will appreciate.

Cute, funny, written with great tone and style. This was an utterly charming F/F romance with a compelling, adorable opposites-attract couple and a lot of really fun background plot.

After her aunt's death, super-serious accountant and art gallery manager Cade Elgin inherits half of the aunt's entire estate, including a quirky-at-best sex toy store in Portland. The catch? She has to get the store out of the red in a month, and she has to work with Selena, the artist and store employee who gave the worst eulogy Cade had ever heard at the funeral.

This was a super fun read, complete with a unique premise, really well-developed main characters, an interesting and compelling through-line about fine art (Cade is an art gallery manager, and Selena is an artist), and a lot of really great atmosphere. The romance is more on the slow burn side, and the relationship between Cade and Selena is developed so nicely; the conflict felt realistic and in-character, and the ending was so satisfying. My one qualm is that I would have liked to see a little more development of the side characters (Selena's found-family crew sounded awesome! Cade's biological family was fun, but a little one-dimensional! I wanted more from all of them!).

Overall: definitely recommended for fans of romance, especially if you like opposites-attract! Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy.

One of the smartest, funniest, most romantic books I've read all year. I requested this over a year ago, but quickly realized that it was a perfect book club pick and set it aside so that I could read it along with everyone else. Fast-forward a year, and A Bookish Affair just finished a fabulous discussion of this wonderful book. (We were even lucky enough to have a short visit from the author herself!) There's so much to love here -- the Portland setting, the jokes, the found family, the slow burn (as one book club member pointed out, "This is how a slow burn is supposed to be!"). Selena and Cade are marvelous characters and magical together, and I loved every page. Highly recommended for anyone -- and it really did make an excellent book club pick. :)

Many, many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

This was such a delightful read. This was an opposites attract female/female read. It has a really positive message in it about accepting yourself. It’s such a fun and quirk my read that will capture your attention right away. I highly recommend checking it out!

Halfway through and I still wasn’t hooked. Cade and Selena couldn’t be more different, despite opposites attract. But somehow it came together, as expected.

Cute ending. Moderate-low spicy.

Absolutely adored this sapphic romance! I live in Portland, OR, so I was immediately drawn to this book before I even began. On top of that, I'm a huge fan of romance that incorporates toy play, so setting this the story in a sex shop was an added bonus. It's a great twist on the "inheriting a business/home from a deceased relative" trope.

There were some descriptions and word use that didn't work for me, and I do think the supporting cast of characters could've been better developed, but all in all, a fun, romcom read. I will definitely read more from this author in the future!

I am always on the lookout for more sapphic fiction, and I am so happy I found this one! Satisfaction Guaranteed is a opposites attract, rich girl/poor girl romance novel. Cade is an uptight businesswoman who has given up on relationships and sex. Selena is a laid-back go-with-the-flow artist trying to find her way. After her aunt Ruth's sudden death, Cade finds herself as the new inheritor to her business, a sex shop. But she only owns half, while Selena owns the other half. Tension and attraction fly between the two immediately as they struggle to be new business partners... and even more. Satisfaction Guaranteed is fun, romantic, and so swoon-worthy. I absolutely loved it.

This book actually came out last summer, but the whole unprecedented times scenario threw me for a loop and I feel behind with a handful of ARCs. I’m slowly catching up, and TL;DR, this book was worth the wait.
I loved the Odd Couple dynamic between Cade and Selena, and I loved that they had to work together because of the conditions of a will. It’s the modern equivalent of the “you have to get married or you lose your title/inheritance” trope… which isn’t actually a legally binding thing, but I digress.
In any event, the project in question is a sex toy store, something Cade knows nothing about. In fact, talking about sex toys makes Cade somewhat uncomfortable because of her lack of experience. This leads her to approach the matter from a clinical viewpoint, focusing on things like battery life. Selena, on the other hand, is very open about sex, leading to some interesting interactions.
Cade is used to people wanting to get closer to her because of her parents’ art gallery, so Selena befriending her without any ulterior motives is something Cade doesn’t quite know how to process. And, as their relationship turns physical, Cade is worried about disappointing the much more experienced Selena, only for Selena to accept Cade as she is.
I would absolutely recommend Satisfaction Guaranteed. There’s a nice balance of sweet/hilarious and more poignant moments, as both women work through issues from their past when they’re thrown together. This book was a lovely distraction from the stress of the real world, and I’m looking forward to reading more from Stetz-Waters in the future.

I received a digital ARC of this book from Forever/NetGalley

Satisfaction Guaranteed by Karelia Stetz-Waters is a queer enemies-to-lovers story filled with wit and set in Portland, which functions as a character all its own. Cade and Selena are put together to operate a sex toy shop - talk about a meet cute! And, if they can just stop bothering each other, they might be able to act on their attraction.

Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for sharing this book with me. All thoughts are my own.

I found the premise promising but the story ultimately slow and dragging. A lot of it felt flat, and even one of the characters coming "with a beautiful hawklike cry" couldn't pull me out the slump.

A truly lovely book. The sex positivity and open conversation for female pleasure is a long overdue topic in mainstream romance.

There were a couple moments that kept it from 5 stars, for me personally. I found Selena to be a bit over the top "manic pixie dream girl" which is a trope I am done with. Also, for Cade having tried toys and pleasure on her own and with partners, I wish there was more trial and error to her sexual satisfaction. It felt a bit unbalanced in the story to keep hearing about open communication and how everyone needs something difference but Selena "fixed" Cade on their first try

I enjoyed this book, and it was the perfect rom-com. However, while Satisfaction Guaranteed had some funny and heart warming moments, you need to go into understanding that is your classic rom-com and has many of the same repetitive elements that lots of rom-coms do. It felt like something you had read before but set at a sex shop this time. Overall though I found it to be short, sweet and fun. I can’t wait to see what

Satisfaction Guaranteed is a fun, sweet, and steamy queer adult romance! I loved this opposites-attract story of a queer woman who inherits her wild aunt's sex shop and tries to figure out how to run it alongside a sexy shopgirl who is her literal opposite.

Cade and Selena are total opposites: Cade is a buttoned-up, type A, high-society lady while Selena is a wild, free-spirited, and sex positive woman. The two are totally different but can't deny their attraction to each other. I really appreciated how openly and honestly this book discussed sex and breaking down the shame and stigma around pleasure.

This was a fun read perfect for readers who enjoy queer romances like Red, White, & Royal Blue, Written in the Stars, or Something to Talk About. As a librarian, I definitely plan on recommending this one at my library, especially to romance readers who enjoy the forced proximity, workplace romance, or opposites attract tropes.

Opposites attract, a F/F romance, a sex shop - I'm sold from that premise alone. This one was different, fresh and entertaining.

Loved the sex positivity and diverse representation in this book! I felt like it was a bit too slow and there wasn’t enough tension for me, but overall still liked the book. The author did a great job with the internal dialogue!
