The fifth and final book in the Witch of Edgehill series. I have so enjoyed reading this paranormal cozy mystery. I loved this whimsical Oregon town full of magic, plenty of cats and great characters. Each book introduced just a bit more charm, while also providing a great mystery that ultimately lead up to this last book. I would highly recommend reading this series in order to fully understand the history of what the characters are going through during this story.

The conclusion to this series truly went out with a bang. It was full of suspense, humor and non-stop action. There were plenty of twists and shocking surprises too!! The entire cast showed up for this book and it was just perfect to see them all come together or try to interfere with this battle against the Penhallows. Some of my favorite scenes included the mystery behind the exploding toys, a fun glamour with a famous music star, Edgar’s bittersweet reunion with his dad and did I mention a meddlesome someone gets hexed into a hamster!!!

I truly have never read a cozy series like this one before. It’s so well developed and imaginative. I highly recommend it!!! The author did a fantastic job creating such a charming world and wrapping up all of the loose ends in a smooth effortless way.

I am so sad to see this brilliant cosy mystery come to an end. This is a fitting conclusion to a thrilling series. I strongly advise reading the previous instalments as this story wraps up all the plots from previous books. This book jumps right into the action as Amber is targeted by the Penhallows.

The author brings the quirky town of Edgehill to life with her vivid descriptions and well-developed characters. The backstory is carried so well throughout each of the five books and with each book, we become more invested in Amber and her supporting cast of characters. This is a series I would love to see brought to life on television.

I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The story is interesting, written beautifully. The characters are lively and the entire set up of witches, cats and the concept of witches and non-witches are all beautifully demonstrated.

Even though it took me a while to get a grip of the story (my mistake as I haven’t read the other books in the series) and its characters, the entire story line became fast paced in the second half. Amber’s journey towards solving the mystery and the finale set up was fascinating.

I loved how all the characters played their significant role in the story(even the non-witches) and the entire plot resembled a TV series of Witches.

Thanks to the author and NetGalley for providing this ARC.

This is the last book in the Pawsitively series. It felt very crowded- like the author was trying to cram so much into the story that it became larger than intended. I kept losing track of people and it felt somewhat all over the place and darker than your usual cozy.
The Penhallow angle was a bit weak- if they were all so incredibly powerful why couldn't they just overpower Amber? All in all it was an enjoyable read and the conclusion was satisfactory, resolving all the issues (although in a bit haphazard manner with magic somehow coming alive and all).

This is the concluding book of this series, and man it’s a doozy! I didn’t realize this was the last book going into this, but that didn’t affect my enjoyment. The one thing I must say upfront is that if you haven’t read the other books in the series, it would be best if you did that first. The author does have a synopsis at the beginning of the book to bring readers up to speed, which I absolutely adore, but still. I can’t say much without giving away massive spoilers, but the gang is all together to help solve the latest shenanigans. This was a wild ride with so many ups and downs, surprises, and twists and turns, you don’t really know where to turn. Amber, Jack, Willow, Aunt G, and everyone else were so fun, and I’m so glad to have read this series. Give it a try! Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Pawsitively betrayed is the fifth and unfortunately the final book in A Witch Of Edgehill Mysteries books. I’m soooo sad because I’ve grown close to the characters and I will miss them so much.
I hope Melissa Erin Jackson will change her mind and write more books with Amber and her family and friends.

Just like the other books Pawsitively Betrayed is fun and exciting and has lots of action and deception and betrayal and magiiiiiiiiic. I laughed and cried with Amber and her friends.

5 million stars from me because I’m sure I will return to Amber from time to time to reread her adventures and mishaps.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy.

Pawsitively Betrayed is the fifth and final installment in the Witch of Edgehill series. In Pawsitively Betrayed the stakes rise to an all time high for Amber Blackwood and her family and friends. Edgehill is in the ban of the Here and Meow Festival but various accidents, a nosy lawyer, unraveling family secrets and the return of the Penhallows put the festival and whole Edgehill in terrible danger. Once again Amber must do everything in her power to save her beloved town.

A worthy conclusion to a very exciting and enjoyable series. I absolutely loved Pawsitively Betrayed. I might actually be my favorite installment in the Witch of Edgehill series. The combination of high stakes, the family mystery and the return of the Penhallows makes for a very exciting read. Even though it's sad that this series has come to an end, all the loose ends are wrapped up nicely.

I very much recommend this series to anyone who enjoys magical stories.

The last book in the series and the best one yet. Little mouse, Amber, has the weight of the world on her shoulders and a very supportive cast of characters have got her back. All Amber wants to do is make her enchanted toys, enjoy her family and friends, and fall asleep watching Vamp World with her boyfriend Jack. She deserves to be able to do all those things but the Penhallows and their cursed magic will not rest until they get her family grimoires and change the past to over-write the present. The Penhallows are on the move as they go for broke or rather as they try to break Amber. Amber is the perfect cozy character, she thinks of others before herself and questions her abilities which are really quite amazing. You get a nice prelogue at the start of each story whihch helps to lay the groundwork for the new story but you will really want to start with the first book because she grows so much as a character. There are laughs, tears, family, friends, rivals, frenemies, cats (of course) and fate of Edgehill and maybe even magic itself.. It has been a wonderful journey and while I would love for this story to continue it does have the loose ends tied up very nicely.

Pawsitively Betrayed ends Melissa Jackson’s Witch of Edgehill Mystery series with the final confrontation between the Blackwoods and the Penhallows. Who will win possession of the Blackwood Family Grimoire that holds the spell enabling time travel?

The Penhallows need the spell to regain all their powers and use the Here and Meow Festival, with an overabundance of tourists, to locate and steal the book of spells. Amber, her sister, and their aunt organize a group to keep the grimoire secure.

Ms. Jackson weaves a spellbinding yarn and wraps up her five-book adventure. The story is complex and fast-paced. The author provides a bewitching end to her remarkable tale, permeated with witches and magic.

I really enjoy this series. It can easily be read as a standalone (the author posts a little snippet at the beginning to catch you up on what has happened so far)

This installment, while just as engaging as the ones before it, was much deeper than the others. There was so much subterfuge going on that it was becoming too much for me to follow when I was expecting a cozy paranormal read. I did enjoy seeing Melissa Jackson flex her author muscles though, it was very well written and worth picking up.

It is time for the Here and Meow Festival, and people are coming into Edgehill in droves. Amber Blackwood is busy with festival preparations, and making toys to sell at her store, The Quirky Whisker. Then the unthinkable happens... her toys start malfunctioning and Amber is forced to close her store until she can figure out what is going on. The Penhallow witch family shows up, planning to blend in with the festival crowd, while they work to locate the grimoire that Amber and her family have hidden from the Penhallows, so that they can get their hands on the legendary time-travel spell.
I love this series, and this was a fun and exciting ending to the series. Edgehill is a lot of fun to read about, because all of the stores and restaurants are cat themed, as are the street names. There are also a lot of stray cats all around town. I would love to see a new storyline because I really enjoy the Edgehill setting and all of it's inhabitants. I highly recommend this charming series.
