Matt Haig does it again with another book to instill hope in readers who feel there isn't any. With relatable and beautiful passages designed to bring something of comfort, it was a very impactful book. I highlighted so many passages and I'm grateful for an author like Haig, who keeps it real and open about the struggles of mental health.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

While struggling with his own battle of depression, Matt Haig discovered that even in the depths, you can find comfort, relief, and beauty in thunks.

This is a short book filled with plenty of comforting thoughts. It gives me hope. Not about anything in particular, but life in general.

I definitely recommend!

A delightful book of anecdotes, notes, and encouraging quotes to comfort the reader. Haig has written this book based on notes he wrote to himself. The readings help the reader gain a different perspective on the ups and downs of life. A much-needed read at this time!

Another warm, gentle hug from Matt Haig. The Comfort Book is a very comforting read full of short sections. It is perfect for a time when your brain is scattered and can't handle a long book or comprehensive program about to improve mental health and wellbeing. Haig gives us snippets of hope and compassion to help us through these hard times.

The Comfort Book by Matt Haig was an unexpected and enjoyable read for me. I’ve read other books by the author, both fiction and non-fiction and found this to be a satisfying follow up to Reasons to Stay Alive. When I saw the structure of the book on the content page, along with so many listings, it seemed more like a journal. At first, I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy that however after finishing it, I found it to be one of best features of this book. It was a pleasure to pick up it for a little while at a time, enjoy a quote, short story or even a music playlist. Overall, I found the book hopeful and uplifting.

Matt Haig's The Library Book was the first (and best) book I read in 2021.

This book (which I listed to the author narrate) was like a hug, a reassurance I didn't realize I need it until I had received it. I can't speak to the reading experience, but the listening experience was a delight.

I received an advanced reading copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is one of my favorite reads of 2021. During these trying times this book did just what the title implied, it brought comfort. It was my first book by this author and will not be my last. Now I cannot wait to get a hold of the Midnight Library.

A collection of short chapters full of nuggets of hope and wisdom. Would recommend for fans who were inspired by Midnight Library or Haig’s other non-fiction work. Haig has a special way of touching on heavy subjects in a validating and hopeful way.

Everyone feels depressed at some time in their lives - this book is the resource to rise above that depression. It.'s an uplifting collection of self-help comfort - it has been said that it is a hug in book form - that makes me smile. It is a rare book that you can pick up anytime during your day and start reading on any page to experience it's soothing vibes - it is written just for that - not to be read from start to finish but to be opened randomly to receive that bit of comfort and reassurance. Perfect for when you are feeling down just open to any page and get a little comfort jolt. He presents ideas that are soothing - sentiments, insights, thoughts, and ideas to help one to be happier and healthier humans. With the world as it is today - this is a perfect timing for Matt Haigs' "The Comfort Book"

This is the book I didn't know I needed so much.

Matt Haig has put together the most comforting collection of words that is easy to pick up whenever you need a pick-me-up. One can flip to any page and find something encouraging and lovely, like a warm hug.

Although I think this is the perfect book for anyone with depression and anxiety to have on their bedside table, it really is for everyone. This is the book I would buy for every person on my holiday gift list.

The Comfort Book
BY Matt Haig
Pub. Date: July 6, 2021
Penguin Life

A small book for anyone in search of hope, looking for a path to a more meaningful life, or in need of encouragement.

Happiness occurs when you forget who you're expected to be. And what you're expected to do. Happiness is an accident of self-acceptance. It's the warm breeze you feel when you open the door to who you are.

This is my second book by Matt Haig. This is a book you do not have to read in order and read slow as you need it.
