I was really looking forward to this book, the second in the Plain Patterns series but this was a disappointment. I feel Amish fiction and illegal immigration does not fit together. Learning more about Lupus was a plus but Sophie's mother's disbelief of her daughter's illness didn't not ring true. Hopefully the next book in the series will highlight the quilt shop.
