The Woman of His Dreams
by Susan Payne
A reasonably well written book if a tad short and a little far fetched. A love at first sight type of book. The story though reasonable could have been better improved if it all wasn’t crammed together and expanded upon just a little more.
I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. A great historical fiction novel. Highly recommend.
I thought The Woman of His Dreams was a good and sweet read. It was really short but really full of entertainment. I am giving it four stars.
Complementary copy given for my honest review and opinion.
This was a great historical romance. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. The author’s writing style was smooth flowing with great story buildup. I will follow up with more books from this author.
I didn't love this book. I am not a fan of descriptive sex scenes and this book started off, almost immediately, with that, while not as graphic as some. There was confusion on the part of the Lord and the reader as to what was happening. The confusion was resolved and there is a happy ending to the story. It was a quick read and while I do like a happy ending, I would have liked more substance to the story.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
I mean what the hell? This book is just .... I lost my words.
Collin came back home and found his nieces with their governess, Annie. Then soon enough he found her in his bed and they made love two nights straight without much of a thought and in the day everything was different. It's like she didn't even spend the night with him. He found out why she didn't remember a thing and then they were declaring love for each other and got married.
My expression during reading is 'What the actual hell?' the entire time. Ugh!
Collin is a younger son who has recently returned home from his exploring adventures and Annie is the young governess hired to look after his nieces. This is a very short insta-love type story. If you are looking for a quick read with some spice then you'll probably enjoy it, however, I found the plot a little too far-fetched.
I received this ebook arc from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I did not like this book. It was too Un beleveable. And the Main Characters to weak. Thank you to netgalley for letting me read this e arc in exchange for an honest opinion
What a sweet and quick read! The Woman of His Dreams will take you through some loops. It is a well written book, that could have used a bit more development, but good if you are looking for a quick escape.
I received this book through NetGalley as an ARC, for an honest opinion

After traveling the world Colin arrives at his brothers for a rest, only to fall instantly for Annie, his nieces governess. He can't understand the very mixed signals she sends him,, rebuffing him during the day and coming to him at night.
when it is revealed what happened he feels horrible and wants to make things right, but she is reluctant to accept that what they have is real.
Despite being a very short novel, it was a great little read, with an interesting twist
An enjoyable short book to read. There was enough of a story to keep me interested. You could guess what was going to happen but l did enjoy it.
Very short story. So, I guess the love at first sight thing makes sense. But the whole thing just felt rushed. Would have benefited from being longer.
It is a relatively short romance but it is written well. I really liked the characters. They seemed warm, intelligent and not quite so constrained by the social mores of the time. Collin is an explorer whose experiences have broadened his mind and his stories add some excitement to the story. Annie is a governess who has a fondness for her charges and fosters their intelligence. Annie and Collin have a real warmth for each other that comes through even if things happen suddenly.
There is one thing I didn’t buy about the story which bothered me some. I don’t want to give too many details away and just say for her first time she shouldn’t have been as comfortable with her moves as she was. There also seemed to be a story about Annie’s past that should have been developed more. It is lightly touched upon and in a longer story would have added more drama to the story. It doesn’t really need to be there.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a free copy of the ARC in return for an honest review.
Overall a really cute story. Very insta-lovey but it was certainly a unique story! I did not see the surprise of the story at all and was completely caught off guard. The end was sweet and lovey. Just a super cute quick read!
I liked the story. Just not sure about the H&H. They are both smart people, and the plot is so unbelievable. Give it a whirl, as it is very sweet.
4 stars
I liked this story it was different. I do think the title would be better as The Man of her Dreams but then that's probably a spoiler. The hero is an adventurer and a botanist. The heroine is working as a governess, partially in hiding from her relatives. Unbekown to the hero she has an aristocratic background. The girls are charming and there's potential for a spin off for the hero's brother. The story is short but I enjoyed it. This is my first book by the author and I will look out for others.

3.5*
I knew going in this was a short read (47 pages) and I have to say I was surprised at the turn it took fairly early on. It certainly kept me guessing as to how it was going to sort it all out in the end.
I’m not saying any more since I don’t want this to be a spoiler review.
Ultimately it didn’t matter I enjoyed this little read.
I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by NetGalley
This is my third book by Susan Payne. It was a very short and quick insta-love story.
It started as if there was already a pre-story there and moved into weird territory. Not my favorite by this author.
