I've had this book on myself for a long time I keep starting it and then never finished it started finally finished it and it was just not my cup of tea.
I suppose the premise is interesting, however following a bunch of book characters that are waiting around to be brought to life, etc, it was just hard for me to enjoy.
This just wouldn't be a story I'd read again or recommend to anyone or look for the next book in the series.

Now Nicole and Kaleb must try to escape back into the mortal realm with a ruthless bounty hunter and Kaleb's cast of characters on their heels. Can they make it back to the real world without having to pay the ultimate price?

Flirting With Fairies has a dynamic cast of characters that each have their own true identity. The story arches over the mortal and Imaginary (book) realms. There are villains and bounties, hidden treasures and love. There is a lot going on with this book. That being said. I didn't really jive with it all. The romance aspect of the story (multiple romances) were very insta-lovey. I mean. I just met you, we had a good conversation, maybe snogged for a second- BAM! love! The overall storyline was intriguing, but ultimately it failed to really pull me in all the way.

Overall, if you are looking for a grand adventure with a happy ending with a few fairies, demon-lords, vampires, well-intentioned possibly murderous ghosts and a hum- I mean, personal assistant, then look no further.

I had not read the preceding book, but this one stands on it's own.

Starting with the positive, I have read books where fictional characters came to life, so to speak. However, the author's world building was unique (in a good way). Lots of diverse characters, primarily paranormal, but some fictional characters from books and movies.

The bad, I didn't really like the characters, the instant attraction didn't ring true even for insta-love in a book and while I saw what was supposed to be funny, it didn't connect for me. Plus from the very start I could see the solution to their situation, yet it takes them to the end of the book to figure it out. Kaleb is dumb as a box of rocks and I need more from someone the heroine is supposed to be in love with.

The book is supposed to be 173 pages, another 50-100 would help greatly to develop the characters better and make their connection seem more real. It could also flesh out the action more.

Although I was wanting to love this story, I had a few issues with it.
The premise is great, however it was confusing at times, and felt very forced at others. It was corny which made it a little difficult to push through at times.

Overall it was fairly entertaining I supposed, but it isn't a book I'll read again, or recommend to others.

Most of the story takes place in this realm where book characters wait around in green rooms or scenery for their authors to do something with them. Nicole is a fairy in disguise in the human realm where she works as a literary agent looking for the next best seller. She thinks she’s found that in Kaleb, but things go terribly wrong when he is hit by a bus and both of them are pulled into the Imagination Realm. Unfortunately, Nicole is a wanted fugitive there since she skipped out on a Shakespeare story three hundred years ago. The two of them have to dodge bounty hunters, psychic monkeys, bored characters, and more. And when some of them discover that Nicole is protecting a treasure… it’s almost more than she can handle.

What I liked: The characters are amazing as are the settings and the idea of interacting with characters in the book and what happens when authors don’t write them well, or never finish a story. It’s imaginative and fun. And there is an interesting plot twist at the end that gives you a HEA you weren’t expecting.

What I didn’t like: It was sometimes a little confusing to follow and there were a very few minor editorial issues (typos).

Recommendation: Don’t expect a deep story here. This is a fun-filled tale that will have you laughing—which is not a bad thing. We all need more fun and laughter. Recommended.

As the author writes, this is a Hybrid Comedy Adventure Paranormal! I was very excited to read it. It is a story within a story with characters moving about the different realms. However, the humor seemed a bit too forced at times and too corny even for a book you expect to be corny and tongue in cheek. The romance, falling-in-love didn’t make sense. It happened too quickly and was unexplainable even within the context. On the other hand, the main characters were appealing and the main plot twist was satisfying.
However, I would not recommend this book to my patrons.
