I loved this book rom beginning to the end. It’s about a small town woman with little self esteem. She learns to stand up for herself and she falls in love. She makes me want to stand up more for myself. She is the hero in this book. Definitely recommend this book
This was such a moving and adorable read. I really enjoyed the characters as individuals, with all of theirs past traumas and how they dealt with them, and their quirks. Julia is one of the sweetes female characters that I've met, and Aaron is a perfect book boyfriend that everyone dreams about. I immensely enjoyed the romance and secondary characters as well. The dialogue and the pacing of the plot made it easy to read. This is definitely the book that will make you feel lighter and help you to take your mind off things.
Sweet Bliss is the perfect book to take you to a small waterfront town. You have a town hero that has self esteem issues that seemed to have followed her from her past. She finds comfort in a new resident of this adorable little town, who is also looking for comfort from a tragic event that has changed his whole world. While this book was simple, it is the perfect distraction from the real world. I actually left wanting more of Julia’s story.
Welcome to Harper Landing, almost an only home known to Julia Harper, owner of frozen yogurt shop and a newly pup who almost drowns in cold sea if it wasn’t for Aaron Baxter. He is ex owner of very successful paleo business and uncle-daddy to his late sister and best friend baby Jack. He moves from California to this small town, where his baby Jacks’ grandparents live. He hopes that this place will give him and his new baby a real home and sense of belonging for which his sister and he craved as a children. He did not expected to fell for gorgeous, kind and loving owner of Sweet Bliss. But will she allowed herself to be loved? And will he?
I just love romantic stories, small and tight communities where people help and rely on each other. For me this was easy read, cute and warming. I prefer darker love stories, but this was a nice break from that. Happy reading to all.
A delightful romance highlighting how love and loss can bring out the best in people. Harper Landing is a charming setting that reminds me in many ways of my own hometown. The characters and the town represent American ideals of entrepreneurship, loyalty, community, and kindness. A fast and fun read from beginning to end that readers will be able to relate to on a number of levels. I look forward to reading the next installment in the Harper Landing series, Good Catch, to see where Bardsley will take her characters and the wonderful close-knit community she has created.
This is the first time reading this author and this story is so cute! I loved it!
Julia is a prominent figure in her community, but there's one tenant who doesn't like her. She struggles with self-worth after being raised by a mother who belittled her. Though her parents are gone, she's still under that influence.
Aaron moved to Harper Landing after his sister and best friend, who were married to each other, died in a car crash, and they left their baby to his care. He's struggling to misplaced guilt and caring for the baby.
Aaron and Julia are just what the other needs and their friendship quickly grows to something more.
It's a clean romance and I liked the writing style.
I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
Julia owns a frozen yogurt shop. She has a rowdy lab named Toby that is chocolate brown. She meets a nice man named Aaron who helps save Toby. Aaron has a young baby names Jack and likes healthy eating I liked the pacing, dialogue and characters. I liked how different and alike Aaron and Julia are. The cozy feel was great beautiful cover😍🤩
