Star Sapphire, by Janet Louise Roberts, is a DNF for me. The writing style isn't for me and I wasn't able to connect to the story.
A sweet love story between two people from completely different worlds. Good reading. I hope to read more from this author.
This novel was originally published in 1979, but it holds up very well. It's an emotional marriage-of-convenience story, with both the hero and heroine struggling to find their way in their new roles.
The book hits the perfect balance between plot and character. It's well-paced, intriguing, and heartfelt. There are a few dramatized love scenes, but they're not detailed.
Some antisemitism is expressed early in the novel, but the author handles it sensitively.
I loved this book. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.
