Lily and Milo are cute characters. The pictures are simple and bright. The story is also simple but appealing for young readers. Loved this bright book.
Lily and Milo are getting ready for summer! Help them pack their wagon and hit the beach where it's the perfect day to explore.
This simple and sweet story bounces from interactive matching to cozy adventure within a few short pages. While this does give it a bit of a disorganized feel, there's no doubt it has what it takes to describe a lovely summer day. I'd like to test it out with some of my favorite preschoolers, as I think it would be the perfect classroom read for 3-5 year olds.
This is a pretty cute story. I do wish the pages were not so packed with words, but overall the book works.
My grandchildren enjoy the Lily and Milo stories and look forward to their adventures. In this book, they are going to the beach on a hot day. Using their checklist they get ready and we get to help them decide what they will need. We follow them on their trip and fun they have at the beach. They have fun, discovering new things, lose sight of each other at one point and then finish up with a funny ending. The illustrations in these books are great with large pictures, not too detailed and lots of colour. This time, the oldest grandchild was able to read the book to the little ones and that is always a fun family time together. All of the books in this series are great for vocabulary development for young children as well.
Summer with lily & milo is a cute seasonal book with interactive elements. Perfect for a day spent at tye beachbir in the garden.
Such a cute book that's perfect for summer time. I really liked the illustrations! This book would really help to teach children what clothing is appropriate in summer and what essentials are important to take with them on beach days (sunscreen!). Would recommend to others!
We love beaches! So my son and I had an enjoyable time following Lily and Milo's checklist for the beach. We followed their adventure and now my son cannot get enough of Lily and Milo!
Thanks to Netgalley, Pauline Oud, and Clavis Publishing for the ARC.
Summer with Lily and Milo by Pauline Oud. I love the adventures of Lily and Milo. I would definitely buy for my granddaughter as soon as she is old enough. Seen Texas summer are hot you could change the words a little to a story about going to the pool. I love the pictures and the interaction of the words such as what items would you take to the pool?
Absolutely adorable story following Lily and Milo. As they get ready to have adventure at the beach. Liked the checklist aspect of the book. My children loved the characters and cannot wait to read more about Lily and Milo.
Lily and Milo are going to the beach because that is what you do when its hot outside. All the things you see and do at the beach becomes a new discovery. A discovery that you can go on with your toddler and bring back home.
Lily and Milo are friendly and will become a new friend in your household.
A Special thank you to Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
In this book, the toddlers can learn basic beach vocabulary, it's pretty simple and cute.
The illustrations are pretty and fun.
In general, the whole book is cute.
The reason why it is a no, for me, is because the protection of marine life is very important, therefore, it is necessary not to change the ecosystems and Lily, taking the shells, damages an ecosystem that already has problems in their survival.
Really cute and fun book about summer! The illustrations are adorable. This book would help teach children what we wear as the seasons change. Also, it would help them learn what they'd need to pack on a day to the beach. This would be a great book to read prior to a beach vacation or any child who's favorite season is summer. Great for 3-5 year olds.
This is a book about the celebration of summer fun! Lily and Milo slip into their bathing suits, pack their beach paraphernalia and off they go to the beach. On the way there they gather juicy cherries to munch and view some very tall sunflowers.
After they arrive at their destination they of course put on protective sunscreen. As the day progresses they spot a school of fish and a little crab, build a sandcastle, and gather the prettiest sea shells to take home in their bucket. They cap off the day by cooling down with their favourite flavour of ice cream. Yum, then time to depart and go home!
The author ends this sweet story with a surprise which I think all little readers will get a giggle out of. This is a simple interactive story about summer. It is intended for toddlers ages 24 months and up, with focus on the child's world. I highly recommend it.
Lily and Milo go to the beach. What a fun book to read in the summer! The illustrations are bright, cute and very well done. The story is easy to follow for kids. I really liked that the author asked questions so that your child could point to items in the book to help with learning. It would be fun to have a whole series of Lily and Milo adventure books.
Summer with Lily and Milo by Pauline Oud tells the story of two animal friends going to the beach begins with packing for the trip. This was my favorite part because it gives a chance to ask questions about what the animals would wear at the beach. The story continues and shows all of the fun that is had at the beach. I think this would be a perfect book to share with little ones who are heading to the beach for the first time.

This is a simple and cute book for young readers. The questions in the book allow young readers to engage with the story. Would be great as a bedtime story or to read before getting ready for a beach trip.
Summer with Lily and Milo is a cute book that teaches young kids how to prepare for the beach. While reading the book, children will learn what they to take to the beach, what they may encounter on the way to the beach, and the things they can do at the beach. The illustrations are also fun. This book would be perfect for a classroom or library story time. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. (This review is also on GoodReads.)
This was a cute story with some fun artwork throughout. The first page of the book really threw me off though. I know Lily is a rabbit, but I thought it was inappropriate to have her without a top on. Inappropriate for the kids reading this and in front of her friend Milo! Maybe I am old school, but I thought she should have a shirt on! Other than that I really enjoyed this.
This is a cute little book with vibrant colors about two friends who go to the beach on a hot summer day. They have lots of adventures and bring memories home.
Very familiar with Lily and Milo books.
This is simple and colorful picture book can be used as bedtime story.
