I’m here for anything Lauren Layne writes. This book was just as lovely as her other series. It was laugh-out-loud hilarious. There was such a slow burn romance I was itching for the ending. There was enemies-to-lovers. There were misunderstandings galore. I adored every second of this ode to You’ve Got Mail. It remained perfectly unique while giving fans of that beloved classic a chance to revisit Nora Ephrons classic.

This book gave me all the heart eyes. It was so lovely. I loved everything about it. It has a perfect You’ve Got Mail vibe so what more could a reader want?! I’ve read and like other books by Lauren Layne but this is my favorite. I smiled so many times while reading it. It’s funny, sweet, sentimental and of course romantic. It’s a fast read and I barely put it down. Put this one on your TBR list.

Thank you so much to Gallery books for the ARC.

Fun, light the ideal read if you want something for a staycation, vacation or you have time to spare. Gracie is the middle child who by default runs the fledgling family business, a champagne store. Sebastian Andrew’s is her nemesis at the helm of the company try to buy them out. While she’s trying to avoid shutting the doors to a business she feels she should fight to keep open, she chats on a dating app with Sir. She has yet to see what Sir looks like, as that’s part of the experience. You don’t post anything to identify yourself physically, just exchange conversation to see if it’s a match first.

I truly enjoyed this one.

Ahhhhh!!! This book is freakin' adorable! Gracie Cooper runs her family's champagne store, Bubbles, in midtown Manhattan. It's hanging on by a thread. Her brick-and-mortar store is no match for e-commerce in the 21st century. Her dream was to be an artist, but when her dad died of lung cancer, she took over the store. Her art has been put on the back-burner, just eking out a few prints here and there to sell in the store. Sebastian Andrews (with the aqua-colored eyes!) is the corporate bigwig who wants to buy our the store's lease so he can build a new highrise. He's pompous and arrogant and really easy on the eyes! Enemies to lovers anyone?

In the meantime, Gracie has "met" her dream man "Sir" on a dating app. This app is all about inner beauty, so there are no photos being exchanged. Gracie is looking for her happily-ever-after. Heck, she even signs her artwork with Cinderella's glass slipper. She's torn between her lessening hatred for Sebastian and her feelings for the man she's never met.

This is a feel-good fairy tale for grown-ups. It's one of those books that I didn't want to end because I was enjoying it so much.

This book is my new favorite romance! I was hooked from the very beginning, and I could not put this story down. I think I finished this book in less than 48 hours. The characters were really engaging and interesting, and I felt like the plot was spot on. I was really a fan of the author's style of writing, and I would love to read more by this author. Overall, this was a great addition to my February reading, and this book just made me smile. The story was paced nicely, and I was literally so invested in these characters. I think that is another testament to the author's writing!

If I had to choose one word to describe To Sir, with Love it would be, "charming." The entire book was just absolutely charming - warm, inviting, and just such a sweet story!

To Sir, with Love is a modern day telling of "You've Got Mail" and includes the tried and true enemies to lovers trope. Gracie is working herself to the bone to try to save her family's champagne store. She increases her efforts when she finds out the gorgeous Sebastian Andrews is trying to buy out her lease, essentially sealing her fate and closing her store. While working to save life as knows it, she's finding time to correspond with the (nameless and faceless) "Sir" through a dating app that is based on heart connections, not physical ones. The beautiful tension of "will they or won't they?" is felt throughout the book. Gracie is a character I found myself rooting for - I wanted so badly for her to succeed in both her personal and professional life.

To Sir, with Love is a story of perseverance, grief, love, and following YOUR OWN dreams, not the dreams of those who love you. Following our own path could lead to disappointing the people she loves, but Gracie has to decide if the risk is worth the reward. I've read plenty of Lauren Layne books (possibly an embarrassing amount-ha!) and while this one had her trademark humor and romance, it had a much softer feel to it than some of her others. But I enjoyed it just the same!

Many thanks to Gallery Books and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinions.

Such a fun, modern romance. An updated take on You’ve Got Mail but in it’s own, original and entertaining way! Gracie is trying everything she can to maintain her family’s champagne and wine store despite pressure to be bought out by her enemy, Sebastian. The problem is, he isn’t acting like her enemy. Meanwhile, she’s chatting with someone named “Sir” on an app and developing feelings for him even though she’s never met him or even seen a picture.

I truly enjoyed diving into this story. The friendship and family dynamics made this so much more than a love story and I enjoyed it immensely. It was a perfect read for Valentine’s Day and beyond.

This one is out on 6/29 and I recommend my fellow romance lovers adding to your TBRs and pre-ordering now. You won’t be disappointed.

Thank you to @NetGalley and @Gallerybooks for the arc in exchange for my honest feedback.

To Sir, With Love is very charming love story. Gracie is 33 years old, obsessed with finding the man of her dreams, but also not sure that she is actually living the life that she wants. Through a series of events she falls in love with a man she’s never met and one she loathes. If you have seen “You’ve Got Mail” you will definitely notice the similarities. In some cases the plot points of the book were a little too similar to the movie for me. Overall, if you are looking for a PG love story, and one even for upper middle school and high school - this would be a great fit!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc of To Sir, with Love by Lauren Layne. I absolutely loved this book, it was so heart-warming and romantic.

The story follows Gracie Cooper, who has taken over the family business of selling bubbly in NYC, and her Sir, Mr Andrews, who unbeknownst to Gracie is the knight in shining armor she’s been waiting for. Both form an unusual bond and attachment before even meeting in person, and their relationship then grows after meeting.

Gracie is such a lovable character and the story was just so light and beautiful to read. 5 stars!

I loved everything about this book! It was like a nice hug or a favorite dessert. I found myself smiling most of the book. This book is fun blend of Love is Blind and You Got Mail with it's own uniqueness that makes you root for all of the characters. Gracie is the everything you want out of a romance heroine and you can't help but love her and want her to have her own happily ever after.

At 33, Gracie finds herself running her family's champagne shop and involved in a non-existent relationship with a man she's never met -- not even remotely close to the fairy tale that she imagined for herself. But when Sebastian Andrews whirls into her life, Gracie must decide what's more important: doing things to please people or finally going after she wants. The more time Gracie spends with Sebastian the more she starts questioning who she wants to be with.

If you're a fan of the enemies to lovers troupe, you'll love this book. It's smart, funny, full of heart and swoon worthy. This is my first Lauren Layne book and I can't wait to dive into her collection of books.

Now that I've read one Lauren's books, I hav

I must admit, I Love Lauren Layne's books. This was a cute take on a "You've Got Mail". It was a feel good romance that won me over at page one! I loved the family dynamic, the rich guy , the snake business and the self discovery and self worth the characters all possessed.

I absolutely adore Lauren Layne and this might be my favorite LL book yet!! I’m not a huge romance reader but whenever I feel the urge, Lauren Layne is my go-to, whenever I need a romcom, You’ve Got Mail is my go-to, so imagine my joy at seeing To Sir, With Love’s blurb.

I was hesitant because You’ve Got Mail truly is a deeply loved movie for me and there are a lot of way to be let down but I should never have doubted Layne. This was PERFECTLY executed. It is so cozy and sweet and comfy and lovely- it wasn’t Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks recreated, I was fully in love with Gracie and Sebastian and THEIR love story.

The side characters are lovely and really serve to push the story and add a lot to the story without overwhelming these incredible main characters.

I absolutely adored this book and will be re-reading regularly.

Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for an Advanced Reader Copy of this incredible book!

Cute, cute, cute! To Sir, With Love is just the sweetest novel told in the same vain of You’ve Got Mail (one of my favorite movies) and it was truly impossible to put down. Short chapters, funny dialogue, and lovable characters just made this novel so swoon-worthy! This is truly a rom-com movie in book form - an instant classic!

4.5 stars!

Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for a gifted e-ARC of this adorable book!

Guys, this was sooooo cute!! I am a BIG You've Got Mail fan (one of my fav romcoms), so when I saw how this book was pitched as such, I KNEW I had to read it... and it did not disappoint!! This story is a more modern take on the movie (think blind dating app vs. email) and honestly, it did not take me long to fall in love with these characters. I was hooked from the first chapter. The chemistry between Gracie and Sebastian was great from the get-go, even if they were pretty much enemies since the moment they met. This story also had GREAT family dynamics and friendships interwoven throughout the plot, which added so much to the story. This book hit me in the feels -- there were moments where I was literally laughing out loud and others where I wanted to cry. I also just had the BIGGEST smile on my face at the end.

Yes, this book was great and you should definitely read it! This was, surprisingly, my first Lauren Layne book, but it definitely will not be my last!

I'm not crying. You are.

This book is PERFECTION. Holy, for all that is pure. My heart.

Ok, quick review you NEED this book!! The end.

Detailed review:
You NEED this book NOW!!
Ok let's begin,
What I loved about it, literally everything but let's break it down.
The characters swoon-worthy but real. They have their vulnerabilities and strengths and they own it. They know what they want in life but how to get there is a different story. This enemies to lovers book are perfection. There were parts of this book I reread because I got all the feels. My heart soared for them.
The online writing, it was there, it impacted the story yet it didn't overwhelm it. We got a glimpse into Lady and Sir's interactions and how important they were to each other. Yet the real focus was Gracie and Sebastian. You've got mail, in the 21st century.
I got all the feels while reading this book. I smiled to myself, I reread sections because I wanted to re-live it, I laughed out loud and I completely fell in love with this clean romance. There was no steam at all in this book yet it didn't need it. The chemistry was there and it was perfect.
I loved the secondary characters, they offered the right amount of support and I hope we see more of them in the future.

I love a dual POV, however, this book is just Gracies POV and I loved it. It gave Sebastian that element of mystery. His feelings were visible from his interactions. Lauren Layne did an amazing job of showcasing his vulnerable side. We could almost hear his thoughts even though they weren't written down.

In conclusion, you need this book haha!
I can't wait to add this book to my permanent collection.

I absolutely loved Lauren Layne's Passion on Park Avenue series so this was one of my most anticipated romance novels of 2021.

I may have had too high of expectations for this one but it feel a tad bit short for me sadly :(.

I feel like the romance lacked serious development and just felt like everything moved way too quickly for me.

I loved the hopeless romantic Gracie and oh my goodness Sebastian I could have just eaten him up. He sounds like quite the delicious man. But, I love the witty and sassy banter between the two romance characters but the enemies/dislike with one another was pretty minimal in this one. I was hoping that we could have seen a bit more development here between the two.

One of the things I loved in the passion Park Avenue series is Lauren Laynes writing. But, this one was just way too cheesy for my liking.

I absolutely loved the email exchange between "Dear Sir" and "Dear lady". But, it was a bit predictable in this one and was wanting more with the development between Gracie and Sebastian.

Overall, it was a good and cute read but not my favorite romance this year.

3/5 stars.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Gallery for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

I'm a long time fan of Lauren Layne, and this book, like her others, did not disappoint. Gracie takes over her family business, a champagne store, after the death of her father when neither of her other siblings where willing to set up to the plate despite Gracie's desire to be an artist. Sebastian's family owns the lease on the store, and he wants to buy her out to build a new skyscrapper in it's place. It love on first sight for the two, but hate after first meeting. Gracie is a true believer in fairy tales and prince charming. Gracie believes she may have found him, Sir, on a dating app in which no pictures are posted and users get to know one another through chatting only. The interactions with both men have her falling in love with two men out the same time. Can Gracie save her business, find happiness and find true love? Read "To Sir, with Love," for a great rom com.
