This book was definitely a fun ride for those who enjoy the sisterly relationship between Gamora and Nebula! I had a fun time reading it.
Loved this book about some of my favorite fictional sisters. I always love seeing more of their relationship and how it's changed.
I apprecitate the publisher allowing me to read this book. I found this a really interesting read and the characters are quite engaging. it kept me reading until the end. I highly recommend.
This will be a big hit with Marvel fans, very action packed book. I loved the "geek speak" chapter titles too. It was interesting getting to know the backstory to the sisters relationship before Guardians of the Galaxy.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me an advanced copy of this book to read and review.
I loved this story of the two sisters in the Marvel world. I enjoyed it so much I purchased a copy myself once it was released, the cover art is beautiful! Perfect for any marvel fan.
I LOVE GAMORA AND NEBULA SO MUCH. My favorite sisters! I also hate Thanos. This doesn't live up to Loki, but it's still a good look into Gamora and Nebula's relationship. I want another Marvel book from Lee!
Thank you NetGalley for providing an arc in trade of an honest review.
Although I really love Marvel and the Universe, I think that this book was not for me. I did really enjoy parts of this book, however, as a whole it just wasn't for me. It really was a let down.
Before I get into reasons why I did not enjoy it as much as I wanted, this book did have some good. I liked the writing of the novel as it was really well written. I also really enjoyed the plot of the book, though it was not truly clear. I can also relate to the struggles of a sibling relationship.
One of the things that I did not really like was that I could not really connect with the characters. It may be that I am a little too old for this book, but I wish that I could have related to the characters. Sure, I understood and could connect with the bond between the sisters but I don't think that should be the only thing that I should connect with.
Another thing that I couldn't really connect with the sci fi aspect. I don't think that this is the sci fi for me.
Was not a bad read for the age range it was intended for, very good story telling of these two dynamic sisters.
Thank you to Marvel Press for providing me with an e-ARC of Gamora & Nebula: Sister in Arms, but because of how late I am to getting to this, I listened to a finished audiobook from my library!

I was, at one point, really excited for Gamora & Nebula as I did like the previous Loki book in the series & I mean, this one is Gamora & Nebula, sooo!! Unfortunately, I was bored & had 0 idea what was going on, nor did I have any interest in figuring it out.
If you're more of a Marvel fan than I am, especially when it comes to the Guardians of the Galaxy, you'd probably get more enjoyment out of Gamora & Nebula: Sister in Arms than I did!
Girl Power? Gamora and Nebula are sisters. They share no blood but their main bond is being raised by a monster, In this world loyalties cannot be trusted, you step on friend and foe to succeed but Thanos never counted on the hearts of these two women transcending their pain and his presence. As we saw in the marvel movies Gamora made the ultimate sacrafice for her sister in this book we learn the foundations of their relationship. I loved the authors take on the characters and the story overall.
This book is a fun read with well written dialogue and interplay between the characters. The adventure consistently moves the plot forward was little stagnation. I found the beginning third of the book to be quite slow but picked up significantly after that point
This was an interesting take on the story of two of Marvel's most powerful women, Gamora and Nebula. As with everything involving Marvel heroes (or villains), it was exciting and fun. It lacked a little depth for me, but was enjoyable.
I've always wanted more about Gamora and Nebulas backstory and this did not disappoint! Gamora and Nebula takes place before the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie. It gives us a glimpse of their life and the beginnings of their rivalry.
Overall I really enjoyed this book, but it was a bit slow at times. I definitely will be checking out Makenzie Lee's other books!
Thank you to Netgalley and Disney Publishing Worldwide for the e-ARC!
This is the Nebula and Gamora story the world needs especially post-End Game. The sisters get to be the heroes of their own narrative for a change instead of being mostly second to the men in their lives. They have agency and power and even when they're down in this book they're never out. This is a story of two sisters finding themselves as individuals but also learning to trust and love each other and realise they can be a force to be reckoned with together, set against the backdrop of a Marvel universe.
Great read for fans of Marvel's Guardian's of the Galaxy series. For me it was a little slow to start and although the story pucks up it never really takes off in the way I wanted it to. Help's if you have some knowledge of the Marvel universe/ Guardian's, but can be enjoyed without. Giving it a 3 out of 5 stars because ot just didn't bring the action I was expecting from Gamora and Nebula.
If you've ever wanted to explore more of Gamora and Nebula's relationship, then this is undoubtedly the book for you. Mackenzi Lee balances an action-packed narrative with a character-driven story that gives us a close insight into both characters.
I tried reading Gamora and Nebula, but it didn't grab me. I don't know if it was the mood I was in or the style. I'll have to try another time since I do think it has potential.
The characterization (based on the MCU) was really incredible! Gamora and Nebula felt like two distinct characters, but similar enough that you knew they would be better together than apart. And Mackenzi Lee was SO very obviously in love with Jeff Goldblum's Gamemaster, it made me laugh every time.
Great new story exploring the narrative of my favorite siblings in the MCU. I love how they grow throughout the story and how inclusive this story is to set the stage to how they end up like they are in the MCU movies. I appreciate the backstory, it makes me have a better understanding for their relationship. It was a bit slow to start because of the different world that I hadn't heard of, but once I got my bearings I couldn't put it down. The surrounding characters are likeable and I was surprised by the twist at the end, definitely didn't see it coming!
