This book is a very detailed account of the events of WWI in the Dardanelles, but it would be easy to get lost if you aren't familiar with Naval terms. So what I'm saying, is that there are times that I got a bit lost. Thank goodness for Google.
Overall, I found this to be an interesting personal account, but there were times when it did come across as a bit dry. From an historical perspective, it is great. From a literary perspective it could do with a bit of editing to make it more coherent for the lay reader. Still, this is an interesting book with a first row viewpoint, and you can't go wrong there.
I thank the author for taking the time and effort to share his experiences with us and help us understand further details about these events.
