I honestly just don't want these books to end. I don't always love the start of KA books due to the angst that is always there before the couple get together but boy when they get together, I absolutely love how the men are with their woman.
KA men are very protective and treat their woman so good. Granted I have not read all of her books yet but I'm close and this is generally the formula and I LOVE IT. I'm always left wanting more.
In Dream Spinner there seemed to be extra couple time between Axl and Hattie, which really puts this over the top goodness for me. I love couple time. I love seeing how a couple get to know each other and have each others back. It's one of my favorite things to read in a romance book. You totally get that in this book.
I'm really looking forward to book 4. The teaser at the end makes me nervous because the beginning may be even more angsty than usual, but I know the middle and end will be worth every bit of that angst.

I loved this book so much! It sucked me in right away! I couldn’t put it down! I am loving this series so much! Hattie and Axl were perfect together! Axl will definitely be added to the book boyfriend list! This book will give you mystery, suspense and some great steamy scenes! You don’t have to read the books in order, but I would. I think the overall story would make more sense. Plus if you’ve read any of Kristen Ashley’s series before you get some characters from those as well! This book sets you up for the next book perfectly! I can’t wait to get my hands on that! I would absolutely recommend this book!

Kristen Ashley writes the best Alpha’s. Axl and Hattie’s relationship was a bit rocky at first. It was hard for me to accept her hang-up with Axl. I hate to admit but I did get really frustrated with her and almost didn’t like her for the way she was treating everyone. I understood how she had her issues that involved her Dad and trust me that joker would not be getting any of my time. But like the rest of the girl gang, I had to forgive and be there for her and came to adore her. The action and mystery surrounding her stalker kept things interesting as well. I really enjoyed Dream Spinner. Now I really can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Arc provided by publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Axl set his sights on Hattie and she was his. Convincing her was another thing and I loved the way he brought it around to her finally understanding she was his. For Hattie she realized there was no place better for her to be than with Axl as he seemed to be her fixer of everything, her father, her art, and most importantly to whoever was threatening her.
The Dream Team series is attached to Ms. Ashley earlier series and it is good to be with them again. While her style has changed over the years, for those who are fans of her earlier series, we are thankful she has brought them back to us. That we got Hattie and Axl’s story this time was icing on the cake for me.

I'm really enjoying Kristen Ashley's 'Dream Team' series. I love getting glimpses into some of my favorite characters from previous series and this world is just so fun. All three books in this series have been great, but I have to say, Dream Spinner is my favorite so far!
Hattie is an incredible dancer, but after not reaching her goal of being a professional ballerina, along with some issues with her father, she is down on herself. It effects all areas of her life, including her love life. Axl Pantera has had it bad for Hattie since he first met her, but how much rejection can one man take?
Eventually, though it does take time, Axl breaks through Hattie's barriers. And when he does, let me just tell you, it is beautiful. I adored these two together. They had such a wonderful friendship and relationship and watching Hattie's growth was a thing of wonder. I even loved her dad by the end, which I never expected to happen. Another favorite thing in this book was Axl's cat. I'm all for cats in books and this cat reminded me so much of my girl.
This book was fun, emotional at times, steamy, and all around a great read. I'm excited for Pepper to get her story next! I'm always here for a single parent romance.

Dream Spinner has lived up to my expectations and more. We all knew that we were getting a Hattie and Axl book. And they blew the book away. Their story was such a chief kiss that I had to reread it again. Like how can I not? The slow-burning romance between Axl and Hattie was off the charts and much needed. Hattie is personally shy with people. You should not take no offense. Just be patient, and she will warm up to you. But if you are a man that's interested in her, then it;s going to be a while. Sorry, Axl. Cisco has your back. He is the matchmaker for his girls. He knows which one is paired with even when they hesitate to do it themselves. Side note, Cisco needs his own book. Back to the subject, Axl is perfect for Hattie. He is willing to do the work with Hattie. She has some issues to go through but Axl is willing to be there. That's what counts.

“It was a kiss that said this was our beginning, and there might never be an end.”

Ever read a story, at the perfect moment, just when you needed it? This was that story, that moment for me.
Right from the beginning I was pulled in. Hattie struggles from an abusive past. She’s shy and doesn’t quite know how to fit in, so she often finds herself withdrawing instead. With a little help from Axl, she realizes it’s something she wants to improve on and goes about fixing that. And I absolutely loved watching her grow into her own. There were many things about Hattie that I could relate too. Not her experiences, but her feelings. And I think that’s what connected me to the story quickly.
But it didn’t hurt that Axl was just the type of KA hero I love. A bit of a jerk at first. But can also see the error of his ways and does not delay in fixing them. He’s a sweet and sexy, protective alpha commando that I am here for.
Their relationship is true KA fashion and progresses at the speed of lightening, when they finally are both on the same page. But I love that about KA’s writing. I love that the men just wade in. Without overpowering the women. They allow them to be themselves and encourage them to find their way on their own. Supporting them. And when Axl finds that Hattie is in danger, he wades all in!
These two could burn the sheets but there’s so much more in this story. There’s emotion and humour. I bust out laughing a few times. “I want you to f**k me” is one of those times. You have to read it to know, but I burst out laughing at Hattie. She was truly quirky and adorable once she came out of her shell.
I couldn’t write this review and not mention how the author wrote this with the memory of her cat Axl in mind. She honoured Axl, with a great hero in this story. And every mention of Cleo grabbed my heart. “I learned that, even if your cat views you as her subject, it’s seriously nice to share space with another living being who depends on you.”
You see, I had just put down my cat, the same day that I picked up this story. I had no idea there would be a cat in this story- I mean, there often is a pet in the authors books, but I like to avoid spoilers when possible. All I knew was that Kristen Ashley’s stories have seen me through some tough times and I was ready for another of her great escapes, to curb the pain. I expected it to hurt to read, but you felt her love for her cats so strongly in this story. And it only made me love mine more. And appreciate what time I did have with him.
I could tell you all about the amazing side characters, some old that I love seeing cameos from. And some new that I truly hope get their own stories. Were there things that didn’t quite work, or things I felt were unresolved? Definitely. But for me... this was a book that was just what I needed, in a moment I needed it. And maybe you’ll love it too, and maybe you won’t. But that’s the beauty of books, the author once said, you get to take what you want from them and it can be different for everyone. This was more than I wanted. It was exactly what I needed.
Thank you to Forever Publishing for the eARC via NetGalley for my honest review.

I have been enjoying Kristen Ashley's Dream Team series. With each entry, we learn more and more about all of the women and the men who are part of it. We also have the pleasure of some of her past characters from her past books that we know so well.
In this entry, we have known it would be Hattie Yates and Axl Pantera. They have been circling each other for a while now and the interest is serious. There is a problem though, Hattie wants Axl but will not allow herself to have him. She keeps turning all of his interests down because she thinks she doesn't deserve it. This has become a problem for Axl because he knows she is needing him.
This love story has all of the Kristen Ashley elements and reminds me of the Rock Chick feel. There is more than that though, lessons in forgiveness and friendship. Also, don't forget the relationships Kristen is known for...caring and hot.

I'm enjoying the Dream Team Series by Kristen Ashley; it feels like home. We have new characters who are connected to all of our favorites and so not only are we getting new stories, but we get little peeks at how our old faves are doing too.
In the case of Dream Spinner, Hattie and Axyl's story is one I've been curious about. She's been rejecting him and you just know that he's only going to take so much of that before he walks away, or in the case of a Kristen Ashley novel, get in there and never look back. It was touch and go for a quick second but obviously, these two were meant to be.
Hattie and Axyl, for as different as their lives and upbringing were, were interestingly symmetrical. They both had sucky childhoods that left them with lingering hurts and continuing drama--though a nice twist as to how some of the family drama was resolved. And even though the impacts were different, both Hattie and Axyl had really full lives. And though, initially, Hattie didn't seem exactly content or happy, within chapters she is and it was nice to read a KA novel where the characters aren't really the problem to overcome, it's external factors that they work together to overcome.
Speaking of external factors, Dream Spinner continues the ongoing mystery of who is behind the murder of the "bad cops", which is one of the ways our old favorites come into this novel. They're all working together to root out the problem and as the threats are amping up, the guys are getting pissed...and I can't help but hope their women somehow get to the bottom of it before they do. LOL. Who is behind all of this? To be determined and I hope that that particular plot point becomes more significant as the series continues.
Fun, romantic, sweet read. I'm eager to see what happens with Pepper's story (hopefully that's next).

Axl and Hattie were just amazing!! I loved how Axl didn't give up and that he was so totally honest with Hattie. Hattie was little messed up from things in her past and current situation. It might have taken her a while to figure things out but once she did thing started going better for her. These two were just so hot together. I loved it and really can't wait for the next one.

KA does it again! I just want to live in this world where all these people actually exist. Axl and Hattie were perfect for each other as assumed. We got more information about the dirty cops and what's been going on throughout this series. I'm falling in love with Cisco more and more so I'm hoping we see him get his HEA eventually. Cant wait for Pepper's book!!

Hattie the "dirty" ballerina is on stage and ready for her man, Axl. I have been waiting for this story ever since the first book in this spin-off series. I wanted to learn more about Hattie and boy-howdy do we ever. Warning, it is sad and may cause a reader to rage at her father.
I have a thing for dancers and Hattie's dancing style as described in the book hits checks all the boxes for me. She is a sweetheart whose broken dreams of dancing ballet are rivaled by her broken home. Her father is an issue. He comes across as an abusive control freak that should be shot. Her dysfunctional interactions with him make me feel both rage and sadness. Why can he not see he is destroying his daughter? It makes no sense to me.
With Hattie's daddy issues, it makes sense why she shy shies away from Axl. Axl is a dominant man who wants to protect and do things for Hattie. At every turn, his overtures are met with scared resistance. Hattie's inability to meet conflict head on and have open conversations is her downfall. So who comes riding in to her rescue? DING DING DING - prize goes to the one who guessed, Cisco. Goodness I love this bad boy. Once again, Cisco is the one who helps "his girls" stay safe whilst slapping their man upside the head to get them straightened out. He is so easy to talk with that Hattie confides in him. He does have an advantage of doing research and figuring out what makes Hattie tick. I cannot wait to learn Cisco's story and who is paired up with him. I digress.
Axl is an alpha male who isn't sure how to protect his wayward lamb. All he knows is that Hattie is constantly degraded by her father and he's going to put a stop to it. The much anticipated showdown between Axl and Hattie's father... took a peculiar turn. And this is what changed a 3 star-ish book to a 4 star for me. My heart hurt witnessing Hattie's father from Axl's objective eyes. To top it off, Axl also has father issues. The compare and contrast between the two fathers is nicely done and adds another layer to this story.
Whilst all this relationship drama is going on, Hattie picks up a stalker and the dirty cops Axl's boss is investigating heats up. Ms. Ashley does a bang up job blending the various threads in this story into a multilayered romantic suspense pulling at the heartstrings. This is a page turner and I enjoyed every emotion this book squeezed out of me. This romantic suspense is recommended to readers who like messy family interactions, complicated relationships and happily ever afters.

I’ve enjoyed the Dream Team series so far, and Dream Spinner was great addition to the series. However, this installment fell off the mark a little in the excitement and shock factor.
Hattie and Axl were a perfect match and their romance was low angst. I got all the lovey dovey feels once they work through all the miscommunication and excuses Hattie put up to block the inevitable.
We didn’t get a lot of the Rock Chick actions in this installment but Cisco added a fun attribute in the story. I really hope that he would get his own book in the future.
The overall series plot arc of the dirty police continued, but without much advancement. The case was still disorganised and the players were still unclear. It was exciting and entertaining to see all the badasses in Denver working together to solve this case.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read and I’m definitely going to continue on to the next book in the series.

3.5 STARS
Hattie Yates went from dreaming of being a ballerina to working in a stripper club. Years of abuse from her helicopter father whose pushed Hattie to the limits and beyond has seriously impacted her self-esteem. Now that the club is moving away from just nudity to more artistic dance numbers, Hattie is flying again though the air and “en pointe.” Still saddled with her father in ridiculous ways, Hattie resists the man who has been pursuing a relationship with Hattie because, in part, of all the emotional baggage. Hattie loses herself not only in dance, but her sculpting putting feelings into pieces that she cannot or will not speak out loud.
Axl Pantera is one of Hawk’s crew of commandoes who do a number of jobs many of which are not quite legal. Axl has been getting very frustrated at being shut down by Hattie. He has just about had it with her until a stalker turns Hattie’s life upside down. Axl is determined not only to catch the perv, but break down Hattie’s carefully constructed barriers. He also has some serious parental issues with a parent who is all about himself. The story-line of Hawk and his people, good cops from the previous Rock Chick series, the Nightingales, the Chaos MC working together to expose killer bad cops in the DPD continues but does not wrap up.
As with many of her stories, Ms. Ashley focuses on family matters where a parent has given their spouse and off spring nothing but a miserable life. Since both Hattie and Axl have that issue, there is a double dose of parents behaving badly. Readers of this series will know the pattern by now: the women have major relationship aversions, so the tough guys who are attracted to them have to jump over a lot of hurdles to get past them. I do like the fact Smittie’s club is cleaning up it’s act so to speak and becoming more than just a strip joint. I have always had a problem with that aspect of books since those are places of major exploitation of women. Third in the Dream Team series, the next book and final book focuses on Augie and Pepper.

Mixed thoughts on this book.
I normally really like books by Kristen Ashley. However, I am starting to feel like i am reading the same book over and over. There is a bad boy who is a total jerk in the beginning. Then he gets redeemed. The H/h have emotional issues to overcome. There is no real reason for the girl to fall for the guy as fast as she does, since he is such a jerk. But we end up rooting for them and we have HEA.
This was written well and I was absorbed into the story. However, I also felt little tired and jaded reading it. I think I just need a break from the genre.
For those who are into the bad boy with a heart of gold, and steamy sexy romance with a little intrigue, this is a great read for you.
I do want to thank the author, the pubisher and #netgalley for the ARC which did not impact my review.

Oh how I loved Hattie and Axl! It was so beautiful to see how they both overcame their pasts and finally came together. I have loved this series so far and always appreciate how this author keeps giving us more from our favorite characters in past books. I am definitely looking forward to the next book from the Dream Team.

I really enjoy the common plot that ties all of KA books in a certain series. Each book is the romance between two characters and their trials, but the overall plot continues from the previous book tying the storyline line together. I highly suggest you start from book 1 so you dont get lost in the details
Hattie and Axl were so sweet! Love that he has a cat-such a great pet choice (yes im biased lol).
Cannot wait for November to come around to find out how this series ends- also need to see Pepper get her happy!

This story was a decently smooth read! Even though there was a lot of drama happening, (h/H both had mental/emotional abuse to contend with as well as a bit of danger etc) Axl and Hattie were the main focus. Axl and Hattie’s relationship fell mostly on the sugary sweet side and it was actually a nice change of pace from the last two OTT books in the series. I didn’t realize I was craving a book where two people really communicated…especially once Hattie got her head on straight! There were emotional ups and downs of course, but nothing drastically out of whack and the story stayed pretty consistent. And when those smexy moments happened…sizzle sticks! There’s also character cameos from other series, but this time…thankfully…they didn’t take over the book. After the teaser bit, I am wondering how Pepper and Auggie’s relationship will turn out…
I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley/Forever Publishing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

So here's the thing: You either love or hate Kristen Ashley's books and I'm in the LOVE-corner. When I think back to Rock Chicks, Dream Man and Colorado Mountain and Chaos, I want to have that excitement I felt back then. I did get that with the first book in this series but DREAM CHASER was already a bit of a mixed bag. Alas, DREAM SPINNER was a continuation of that mixed bag.
A person was born clean. But I believed they died with the stains their parents gave them.
Now I know that KA can redeem a jerk like no other. She's proven it with both Tate and Tack. But if you have the main character start out as a jerk in every single book of a series it becomes repetitive. All three, Mag, Boone and Axl acted like dicks at an early point of the story. I wasn't really impressed with Axl getting in Hattie's face because she didn't attend her friend's bachelorette bash. She took care of her dad and while this is a completely different story it wasn't his business. But Axl had a way of making everything about him. When Hattie got a creepy phone call ten minutes after Axl was a jerk she turned to someone else. Axl had the audacity to get really pissed and AGAIN got in Hattie's face for it. At this point I was really wondering if he could come back from such douchebag-y behavior. Eventually I did like him but it was a rocky path.
“Christ, baby, I can’t get it out of my head. I go to sleep, thinking about you dancing. I wake up, and the first thing I see before I open my eyes is you looking at me after that dance.
Hattie is the shy one in this group of girlfriends and taking care of her abusive dad took a toll on their friendship because she was unable to articulate her issues. She was embarrassed by letting him continue to abuse her and the visible effect her dad's treatment of her had when Ryn and Axl watched her dance in the last book. Self-harm is a serious topic and KA gave it one or two sentences. I wish she had explored this a little more along with the abuse.
Overall this wasn't the Kristen Ashley I know from the days of the above mentioned series. I thought that Axl and Hattie's story was a little uninspired and lacked the emotional depth that some of her other books had. I still got some decent enjoyment out of DREAM SPINNER and will grab the last one in this series.
"You make people feel when you dance. You make them gasp. Your dad’s been a dick to you all your life, he messed with your head, hurt you, and your loyalty to blood doesn’t break. Your art, babe, we haven’t even gotten to that. Fuck, we haven’t even scratched the surface of you.”

DreamS by K. Ashley, published by Forever (Grand Central Publishing) is book three in the Dream Team series. The book is a stand-alone-ish. There are some cross-overs to the previous two books, so they are best read in order. I absolutely loved the first in this series, Dream Maker. I fell in insta-love with Evie and Mag's characters, and so I had high expectations for this third book. And I'm happy to say, yes it's just as good. Another couple with heart-break, some issues, secrets.
Hattie and Axl are characters I already read about in the previous books, and I couldn't wait to learn more about them.
Hattie is working at Smithie's and Axl is with Hawk Delgado and his men, so the typical alpha how we know and love them.
And there isn't only one storyline. There are more characters from previous series' to meet again. The Dream Team is a spin-off from the Dream Man, Rock chick and the Chaos Series. And just reading about Tack, Hawk, Lee and all the others made me want to do a re-read like just right now.
Th story continues in the next book and I really can't wait to read what happens next.
