"Thieves" by C.R. Fulton is the fourth installment in the "A Drop of Mystery" series, and it continues to deliver a delightful blend of mystery, clean romance, and the fascinating world of essential oils. This series has a unique premise, with each book revolving around the intriguing role of essential oil bottles in solving mysteries.

What makes "Thieves" stand out is its ability to combine the cozy mystery genre with the educational and therapeutic aspects of essential oils. Fulton's writing skillfully weaves these elements together, creating a narrative that is both engaging and informative. Readers, whether they are seasoned essential oil enthusiasts or newcomers to the concept, will find themselves captivated by the way essential oils are integrated into the story.

The characters, particularly Stephanie, Beck, and Sydney, are well-developed and relatable, and their friendship adds depth to the narrative. The cozy romance elements are tastefully woven into the plot, adding a heartwarming touch to the story.

While each book in the series can be read as a standalone, "Thieves" continues to build on the overarching theme of essential oils and their role in solving mysteries. The mysteries themselves are well-crafted, with enough twists and turns to keep readers guessing.

Overall, "Thieves" earns a solid four-star rating for its unique premise, engaging characters, and the seamless integration of essential oils into the mystery genre. It's a delightful and educational read that will appeal to both mystery enthusiasts and those interested in the world of essential oils.

THIEVES is the first novel in the A Drop of Mystery series by C R FULTON. It is a delightful and exciting read with a good plot in which essential oils play an important part, and great characters such as Stephanie Pierce, her goldendoodle dog Bugle, her best friend Beck and the handsome police officer, Mark Wellborn, who comes to investigate a homicide in her building.
There is also some humour and of course some romance. It is the first novel I have read by this author and it will definitely not be the last.
The stage is set and that is all I am going to tell you.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Bluewater Publications. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

I received this ARC via Netgalley and Bluewater Publications, in return for an honest review. This is the third book in an interesting mystery series, based on the premise that essential oils make life better. Stephanie Pierce has a master plan. She’s saving every possible dollar, while working for the most horrible boss in the world, to pay off both her car and house before she’s 30. Thank goodness for her dog, her best friend and essential oils! All three are absolutely necessary to get her through her days.
When she discovers the body of her apartment’s maintenance man in the stairwell, she’s fortunate that a handsome police officer is the one who responds to her 911 call. As things heat up in investigating the murder, those calming essential oils both save her life and solve the ‘why’ that she’s being stalked. This is a fun take on a mystery series, using information about essential oils as a tie-in to each main character and the mysteries. Nice!
