“Guess there are certain things we can’t escape in this life. Everything really does come back full circle.”

Okay, so y’all know how Georgia is the state I live in? Well, this book got my attention from the first page. Georgia- present day. Mary’s Medical Center. I thought, huh. St. Mary’s is a hospital, not a medical center, but okay. Georgia is the name of a character. Reagrdless of my mix up, I was so invested!

It’s very short, clocking in just below 300 pages. It lacks a big punch to be so small. Full of deceit and lies, with some great banter and friendship, it was so enjoyable. Some of the reveals I guessed, others, absolutely lost my mind! I really enjoyed the three ladies and their vastly different personalities.

Thank you so much Ballantine for the gifted copy! Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is out now, and it’s to die for!

“We each have our role to play, and it’s easier to look at another woman and think about how easy she seems to have it.”

THE SINFUL LIVES OF TROPHY WIVES was just the book I needed after I had to DNF a couple books yesterday. I went into this book without knowing the plot (and liked it that way!), so what I’ll say is this: three trophy wives living in an exclusively wealthy neighborhood outside of San Francisco forge friendships, unearth secrets, and have a front row seat to some pretty shady business in their neighborhood. it’s a bit of a psychological thriller with great pacing and plot twists up until the very end. if you need a juicy summer read about wealthy women wrecking lives, pick this one up! 4/5⭐️—I liked it!

I LOVED this book. There were twists and turns around every corner and I honestly didn’t predict any of them. (Which I consider myself pretty good at doing.) At one point I literally gasped out loud because I was so shocked by what was happening. While this book does have some twists I wouldn’t at all consider it scary at all. I would recommend this book over and over again!

I LOVE short books. When I read I don’t always need a ton of detail. I’m happy to read a book that gets to the point, tells it story, keeps my attention and has a great ending. This one did all of those things. I say it makes a perfect beach read because my attention span on a beach is pretty low with the constant interruptions and noise I need a book that doesn’t require a lot of concentration and is pretty straight forward and fun. I enjoyed the different POVs and they were also easy to follow.

If you like soapy domestic thrillers that are easy to read and come with a gorgeous cover def pick this one up today!

Thank you @penguinrandomhouse for my copy!

Buckle -up, it's going to be a bumpy ride! The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives, the title is perfect for this book. I don't want to give too much away, but Georgia is the ring leader here, she may or may not have already killed 2 husbands, hence her nickname "Black Widow" Ya'll there are three trophy wives here and one is just as messed up as the last. Don't let them fool you, no one is right in this book. It was a fun, fast, twisty, read. This book would make for a hilarious dark comedy, you hear that Reese Witherspoon?

Love the cover, love the story. Seems like reading a bit of the Housewives series from TV. Scandalous, over the top, so far from normal life (as least mine!) Such a great escape.

Wooo! This was fabulous! I loved the twisty, dark storyline! The characters are a bit of a love-to-hate situation, so if that's something you are into, you'll enjoy this! I loved the plot, and all the surprises that were thrown my way! I highly recommend this if you enjoy domestic thrillers!

I was provided a gifted copy of this book for free. I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Wow wow wow! This was such a fast moving psychological thriller, centered around three women living in the gated community of Presidio Terrace. Brooke and her husband, Jack, move into the neighborhood and meet neighbors Georgia, the infamous Black Widow, and her soon to be husband #3, Robert. They also meet Erin and her husband, Mason. Chaos ensues and you don’t know what’s true and what’s not! I haven’t read a psychological thriller in awhile, so I had forgotten how much I enjoy them. I loved how there was so much action in each chapter and so many twists. It seemed like each chapter contained a bomb right at the end. The big twist at the end was great, although I had my suspicions all along.

I received an early copy of this book through NetGalley. I read this book as part of a Buddy Read through the Words+Wine Bookclub. The chat over this book was hot, a lot of theories over each character. I love to talk books, so having this ongoing chat was great, although most of us read ahead because it was so good! Go out and get this book quick!

I didn’t like the concept, but I liked the book - go figure. I didn’t care for the setting, but I liked the book - not sure why. The characters were just a little bit over the top, but I still liked the book. The blatant bad behavior was rude and distasteful, but I still liked the book. A roller coaster that goes off the rails and rushes through the the boards into the sky. Great unbelievable well thought out twisted ending and I really liked the book.

Thank you NetGalley and Ballantine Books for a copy

Georgia, Brooke and Erin are friends, well sort of. And just when I thought one of them is acting weird and suspicious, bam… something else happens and I start doubting everything. This was suspenseful and mysterious, pulling me right in. This story was off the chain! I really enjoyed it and loved the writing style. Lots of twists and turns. I highly recommend if you love mystery.
Thanks Ballantine Books via Netgalley.

What an awesome summer beachy read or so I thought! This book was not at all what I expected.
It started out as a real housewives of say, Beverly hills meets a lifetime movie and quickly.
It was also a little reminiscent of the movie 9 to 5 with more of a sinister element.
it became a twisted psychological thriller that had me guessing and page turning until the very end.
Great Female characters that you love to hate.
Thank you to Netgalley, Random House Ballantine and the Author, Kristen Miller for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a very fun read, and certainly quick, but the ending was ridiculous. I liked the multiple perspectives and the general setting, but this was a very handed "twist" of an ending.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

They had us in the first half, not gonna lie. This was full of drama in the first half, and while I don't normally enjoy those type of shows or books, it was fun and nice to read something different for a change. I went into it thinking it was going to be some suspenseful murder-mystery but by the second half of this book I realized it was something else entirely. My mom used to love watching Desperate Housewives and this was something right off the pages of the script I swear. None of these women were good characters. They were each a different stereotype of what a housewife is. I became rather annoyed in the second half because these characters were seemingly stupid and were making decisions that made no sense. By the end it was clear as to why they did what they did but I didn't enjoy the reveal. Overall, it just wasn't for me and I ended up not liking it very much.

A fun and wild ride! I loved the characters, the twists and turns, and the authors way of telling a story. The contrast between a scene that was funny and light and then something nerve-wracking was well executed and the ending was one I never saw coming!

My Review:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5 stars

What a fun, fast paced thriller! I loved the multiple POVs of Erin, a local tv news anchor, Brooke, a mystery writer, and Georgia, a woman famously known on the news as the “Black Widow.” Her last two husbands were both found dead early on their marriage and now engaged to Robert, another wealthy man. Brooke and her husband, Jack, just moved to Presidio Terraces, an exclusive and wealthy area in SF, where she is neighbors to both Georgia and Erin. When Robert goes missing days before the wedding, the spotlight is thrust back onto Georgia and if she really is responsible.

I kept going back and forth on what really happened and the ending threw me. I loved all the nuances of the characters, and could easily envision this as a movie. The beginning half was much more thrilling and it started to lose a bit of steam until it picked up at the end. This is one of the best, “quick-read” thrillers I’ve read in recent months.

DNF at 25%. The story was slow moving and the relationship between the main three women had no development.

This is a quick, entertaining read with a predictable but enjoyable twist. The plot is fast-paced and the author’s writing style is engaging. I didn’t particularly love the characters but their detestable traits add an important layer to the plot. The amount of drama and back-stabbing gave me major Desperate Housewives vibes. I recommend this for anyone looking for a fun escape read. Thank you to the Random House - Ballantine and NetGalley for providing me with an e-galley.

I wish to thank NetGalley and Random House Publishers – Ballantine Books for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book. I have voluntarily read and reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am not a trophy wife and knew little about those who are so this a fiction full of insights for me. The setting is Presidio Terrace, an elite neighborhood in San Francisco. The story revolves around three women who are now neighbors. . One couple is just buying and moving and the neighbors are eager to get to know them. One neighbor is referred to as the Black Widow since her two previous husbands died unexpectedly and it is generally thought that she killed them. She is planning her next wedding in the next few days. The third neighbor is a tv anchorwoman married to a plastic surgeon, she is worried about her image and ageing. The friendships are full of twists and turns with things you never see coming. The husbands are handsome, controlling, womanizers that the reader quickly dislikes and sides with the women. Or do you? This is hard to put down, page turner from the start and I loved it. I would expect to see this on the big screen or made into a tv movie. It is that good and is never dull. There are lots of surprises I know now that I am glad I am not a trophy wife. Prepare to be amazed.

I was offered the chance to read this book from the publishers. Normally they don’t reach out to me so I was curious and quickly found myself in a soap opera that smacks of Desperate Housewives. The characters are totally unlikable but the book is oddly compelling anyway. And it ends up with a true girl power moment. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the chance to read this fun book.

The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is a scandalizing novel of filthy rich women living in a small upscale gated neighborhood in Silicon Valley. When Brooke, a writer married to a tech tycoon, moves into the neighborhood. She is quickly befriended and subsequently dragged or so it seems into Georgia (black widow) and Erin’s (news anchor) disastrous lives. These women are over the top, as is the scandal that surrounds them. It’s light, mysterious, witty, highly entertaining and a guilty little pleasure read reminding me of Desperate Housewives.

Thank you Netgalley, Ballantine Books and the author Kristin Miller for a copy of this novel.
